    A lascivious schoolteacher (French) has grown hopelessly bored with her bland small-town existence. Her world takes a sudden turn, however, when a wealthy, impetuous pop star (Richardson)moves to town to get a taste of country life. Suddenly, she must choose between her tedious but adoring husband (Edmondson), her indifferent but steady lover (Planer), and this intriguing, unpredictable new man in her life.

    Remember this clearly from my childhood. The scene in the corn field when she tells him to shoot her, and he keeps missing, is hilarious!
    Can't believe Dawn French was so slim and gorgeous - and at the time we all thought she was fat! Everything's relative.
