Carl Mengel lost a leg in a mining accident, and continued to mine. His ashes and prosthetic leg are buried on top of Mengel Pass in Death Valley National Park.
Sometimes 4lo is just for going slow and enjoying the scenery. Nice to see you guys relax and enjoy yourselves. By the way, the braids are a great look !
one of the cool places of death valley, lots of history, mines and the trail and views are amazing. if you ever go back i recommend staying in the geology cabin. its so amazing at night if its clear skies and no moon. glad you guys got to enjoy it as much as i have, if you get a chance go check out saline valley hot springs. also the saline valley salt tram onto of the inyo mountains. keep up the great trips
The Dodge Powerwagon at 2:40 belonged to Charles Manson and the interior is decorated in stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ We’ve been on all of these trails and stayed at several of the cabins, including the one in the video. Saw Mansons house before & after it burned down. This is a great trip and a great video. Brought back memories. Thanks guys!!
The only bad thing about your vids and channel, in general, is that you don't post content daily! While we didn't see the usual antics, these laid back videos with epic views more than made up for it. Add to that Kevin having an interesting time getting back into Step Child, and some 'Donkey Love'.... What more could you ask for! 10 out of 10 guys!
We were out that way a few years ago so I recognize a few of those areas. How cool! Thanks for taking us along for the ride. ❤ When we out there it was the coyotes who came up to the vehicle looking for food, not the burros. I'd have loved to see them.
Yeah I'm a country boy, I've got a four-wheel drive climb in my bed, I'll take you for a ride up City streets, down country roads i can get you where you wanna go 'Cause im a country boy yeah yeeehawwww time to sadle up and get a move on folks ohh to much 😆 🤣 Wow I wish I was with y'all on this trip so bad ass. That ol foke was great at telling the history of that beautiful back country and I love history we have so much of it all through California. Britney i give you 20 stars 🌟 on this film 🎥 your editing is fantastic 👏 👌 and the music 🎶 was perfect for this one. The burritos were beautiful 🤣🤣 get um Jelly get um 🙄 the young one was so adorable ❤. The African grey is so beautiful and jelly wants to play with him careful jelly you'll get nipped go get the ball jelly the bird says so awsome 😉 well I rambled enough y'all have a good one and ill see ya'll in the next fantastic showing love you guys and be safe ❤ especially on this upcoming trail ✌🇺🇸
Well, those burros really put the "hump" in Hump Day! Great video as always. Happy New Year to you three and hope 2021 brings you many great memories and exponential growth to your subscribers.
I just want to thank you guys for the videos. I've been watching for a few years now and I live vicariously through you both. I live in Michigan and will probably never get the chance to go out west in my rig. So you guys bringing it to me is just amazing. It's so beautiful. THANK YOU BOTH sooo much.
Another Great Video from Lite Brite Nation! I really liked this 1,I grew up in So.Cal and I have Never been to Death Valley, and my father lives a couple of hours past it,Looks Like I will be doing a Double Trip Hopefully in the near Future! Happy New Year!
There's a lot of great places north about an hour in the Bishop/Mammoth Lakes area also! :) A few to note are Laurel Lake(south of the town of Mammoth Lakes), Coyote/Funnel Lake/Baker Creek(just west of Bishop), and the Champion Spark Plug Mine(just north of Bishop). The trails are endless in the Sierras.
Loved this... thank you! I haven't seen you both for several years so it was a special year and I just subscribed. My late wife and i Jeeped Death Valley a LOT and love Striped Butte Valley... saw the Barker Ranch long before it burned. If you'd continued on down Warm Springs Trail, you'd have seen some great mines and ended up in Badwater (the lowest US elevation) and made it to Furnace Creek... excellent lodging and food. Anyway, thanks again!
You guys need to swing by Christmas Valley Oregon so Jelly can play with our Newfoundland and border collie they have the whole desert to play on. Very cool trail ride!
Kevin, those are actually Burras/Burritas. The Burro/Burrito is later in the video doing his daily chores. 😂 LOL. You three are amazing and full of fun. Take care, there’s a lot to see out there and those gear grinders can show you . Beautiful ☠️Valley
I love this style of touring in the Jeep, most interesting and to hear the history and storytelling from ol' mate. Well done guys and looking good as always.
We attempted Isham in the side by side.... No Bueno! We love Golder and that whole trona , Panamint Valley, Death Valley area! (I lived in RIdgecrest through Jr high and High School) I'd like to come down when you guys attempt Isham. I hope we didn't miss you!
Hey I think maybe my Taco could do those trails as they looked like the soft taco type. Goes to show you Lite Brite can Rock It no matter where they go. HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope it is better for us all.
Another great video! Butte Valley is one of my favorite places to go, in DVNP. it's beautiful and gets nowhere near the amount of traffic as some of the more popular areas.
I sure wish I'd been out there with y'all. Instead, I'm sitting here watching, with a Cold! Burros and Jelly and a Parrot? What's next - that albino Python you used to play with? Great views, great fun, great laughs! Happy New Year to you, your family and Off-Roaders everywhere! LiteBriteNationMates!
Awesome video.... great trail and fun times with great friends... Jelly is so wonderful... always marketing new friends 🐦🐴.....egarly awaiting your next video....Safe travels
When I was a teenager 30+ years ago, my father and I would go with a small group every year and do Surprise canyon which at the time was one of hardest trails in the area. Would take all day to make it a couple miles up to the old cabins then we would spend the night and the next day get everyone back out. Not sure if they even allow anyone to do that trail any longer.
That was a different, but fun video from you guys. First time I've seen Striped Butte since I was a kid in the 70s. Thanks for what you do! Happy New Year!
This is barker ranch and striped butte. Did you guys get to go through echo and titus canyon? Its a MUST do if you haven't yet. This is Blake the one that asked you a ton of questions at last year's Yukon light up the night. Take care guys.
Hello you guys love your videos and your trips I had a great beautiful best friend that travelled with me every day and he would bite branches and about 10 mph he got one and he passed very happy and fast from a broken neck ❤️❤️🇨🇦🍻
Have you guys thought about putting out a Book on all the trails you’ve been on ??? How difficult trails are , the beauty of the trail , points of interest , how long it takes on the trail, lodging, costs...I’d buy ... just saying ... keep up the good work ... ps living through Lightbrite ... for now ...❤️👍
Just wanted to add that you missed the great view you had mentioned at Mengal Pass. At the memorial, instead of heading straight down into the valley you showed a short uphill trail to the right that is short but steep and takes you to a slight summit point a short ways up from where you were. Oh well you will still see stripe Butte, just not from the upper advantage point you were hoping for.
As I was driving from Reno to Las Vegas I looked over to the right of me and I said to myself why is nobody out in death valley area making off-road videos and next thing I know a lite bright......is making great videos......
16:40 ish Kevin (thinking): How am I going to get back in this? Brittany (thinking): I could help him, but it'll probably be more entertaining to watch him struggle.
I loved the video, I follow them but I never comment, it is the second time that her husband speaks Spanish rather than the different language I live in Orlando FL. but I'm from Puerto Rico, success and forward
Carl Mengel lost a leg in a mining accident, and continued to mine. His ashes and prosthetic leg are buried on top of Mengel Pass in Death Valley National Park.
Thank you!! 😲
Death Valley is awesome, wheeled it 30 years ago. It hasn't changed
One of my favorite areas of Death Valley.
This fits for many of your viewers with 4WD but not all the suspension mods to rock climb, you should do one once in a while for them :)
For a couple that says snotty comments about cali is now playing in our sandbox. Love it. Most diverse terrain in the states. We got it all. Enjoy.
Lets face it - all of us Californios make snotty comments about Cali too!
a gladiator , wj, yj and jl a cool line up. enjoyed this video
This was a nice change of pace from your usual trails. Even on an easy path you find the most difficult line. 😝 Happy New Year
Just watched this video and was drooling over the trails and scenery, also LMAO @ the banging burrows. Have a wonderful New Years!
Sometimes 4lo is just for going slow and enjoying the scenery. Nice to see you guys relax and enjoy yourselves. By the way, the braids are a great look !
Well I did as I was told! I sat back & enjoyed the video! I have too say those trails between the mountains of rock were really cool! Thumbs up!

Beautiful! Thanks for taking us along! Tell Kevin to not get any ideas after that donkey was showing him how!
You guys are awesome! Just bought my first Wrangler, 14 jku Rubicon, largely because of your videos. Love to wheel with you guys sometime! Keep safe!
Donkies! :O
Panamint Valley Days, in November around Vet. Day!
We were out that way a few years ago so I recognize a few of those areas. How cool! Thanks for taking us along for the ride. ❤ When we out there it was the coyotes who came up to the vehicle looking for food, not the burros. I'd have loved to see them.
Such a beautiful video. Finding your channel is the best part of 2020. So awesome.
😊🤙

Love that song 🇨🇦
@@PWlangford1 yes it's great song.

Finally! You run some trail that I think I can do in my yota! Looks like a lot of fun, sometimes of scenery alone is worth the trip.
I just want to thank you guys for the videos. I've been watching for a few years now and I live vicariously through you both. I live in Michigan and will probably never get the chance to go out west in my rig. So you guys bringing it to me is just amazing. It's so beautiful. THANK YOU BOTH sooo much.
PLEASE DO MORE OF THESE ADVENTURE VIDEOS!! GREAT !!!!
I love Death Valley. I've been here half a dozen times and feel like I haven't even scratched the surface of what there is to find out there.
What an amazing trail and omg the views, I have to take the wife and our jeep family caravan through here one day!
Thank you for watching the Lite Brite nature channel where anything can happen. Oh and some wheeling.
luv u guys video content happy new year
Thanks for the video. Have an amazing New Years Eve celebration.

Kev & Brit thanks for sharing your happiness, joy, antics, and insane passion with all of us this year. Wishing you an amazing 2021. Happy New Year. 🎊
Happy New Year to you as well!

I love the old yj and the grand Cherokee the wj

haha. we had a parrot growing up. They're so funny.
You guys need to swing by Christmas Valley Oregon so Jelly can play with our Newfoundland and border collie they have the whole desert to play on. Very cool trail ride!
Wicked cool scenic trails. Love it. That bird though! 🤟
Shout out to that Grand Cherokee, That looked like a great rig.
You all should start doing some rig walk arounds with the other off-roaders in the group
Beautiful area and footage - Thanks for sharing it with us. 😁
Kevin, those are actually Burras/Burritas. The Burro/Burrito is later in the video doing his daily chores. 😂 LOL. You three are amazing and full of fun. Take care, there’s a lot to see out there and those gear grinders can show you . Beautiful ☠️Valley
Beauty for sure so weird not seeing snow I'd change you places in a snap
The old man telling you the story about where you’re at needs to read Christmas stories his voice is amazing
Too funny! @17:36 Kevin pulling at the front on his pants like a 4 year old and saying " My sway bar wasn't disconnected" to random people. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love this style of touring in the Jeep, most interesting and to hear the history and storytelling from ol' mate. Well done guys and looking good as always.
Sight seeing time. Happy Trails to you both!

Awesome video.... great trail and fun times with great friends... Jelly is so wonderful... always marketing new friends 🐦🐴.....egarly awaiting your next video....Safe travels
I can't wait till you tell us the tire review and the pros and con's!!
Cool area! I’m going to do it in Feb. if CA opens up a bit. Good winter fun!
Time to get out of the cold and dark of AK!
Years ago I spent a lot of time in this area. My favorite trail was the Paniment city trail during Paniment valley days.
Can't wait to get back to Death Valley again. Fun place to visit and play in.
Mike
What an awesome excursion that had to be!
You guys got to come back in the spring for the all blooms and spend extra time for Mojave. It's breath taking!!
I have always wanted to explore this area.
A ton of history there!
Thanks again for having us along..., stay safe. Happy New Year! Hee hawww!
I was at the Barker ranch house, a year before the house burned down, with another jeeper. Was pretty eerie for sure.
That was a different, but fun video from you guys. First time I've seen Striped Butte since I was a kid in the 70s. Thanks for what you do! Happy New Year!
I do enjoy adventures like this. Keep them coming!
Great video! I'm trying to plan a couple weeks out that way to explore.
I think this is one of your best vids.
Oh, and you’re going to see Barker Ranch. How perfect is that?
Even though it was very easy off roading for you, it was still awesome. More like our kind of off roading. Which is light off roading.
This is barker ranch and striped butte. Did you guys get to go through echo and titus canyon? Its a MUST do if you haven't yet. This is Blake the one that asked you a ton of questions at last year's Yukon light up the night. Take care guys.
Happy new year guys thanks for all your content
Nothing wrong with a nice easy trail with great views
Hello you guys love your videos and your trips I had a great beautiful best friend that travelled with me every day and he would bite branches and about 10 mph he got one and he passed very happy and fast from a broken neck ❤️❤️🇨🇦🍻
Brittany at around 00:30: “nobody’s gonna roll”
Kevin at around 16:00: “hold my beer” 👍
She is so funny biting at the trees and such
Wow ! An African grey!!!
Another awesome day and another awesome trail!! It was great hanging with you guys. Definitely look forward to your return to do isham!!!
Great video guys. That looks like a fun area to wheel. Jelly and her trimming the trail🤣. What is the bishem trail rating?
When you go back be sure to check out the tunnels. 😎
Happy New Year Brittany, Kevin and Jelly 🎉🥳🍾🍸🍺🥳♥️♥️💯🤙

So Kevin has to hit every rock he see. Good man!!
A little bit of Burro bumpin cought on camera. Seeing that probably made you realize just how little Kevin is 😂...those "things" are no joke lol
I saw the ultra 4 on Matt off road recovery video this morning
This is one of favorites from you guys... merry Christmas and happy new year...😎👍
Glad to see you guys enjoying the so cal deserts waiting for childsplay 👍 happy new year! 🍻
God I miss California. I get to see the outskirts through you guys 😎💪👊
Beautiful place!!
That looked awesome. Would love to make the trip out west! It's just not the same here in NH, very pretty but not the same.
Great video as usual! I wish I could make it there some day. Thanks for sharing video! Keep going, and Happy New Year to you both.
Came to watch a wheeling vid and found a donkey show...woot! Keep up the great work guys, ya'll rock
16:40 ish
Kevin (thinking): How am I going to get back in this?
Brittany (thinking): I could help him, but it'll probably be more entertaining to watch him struggle.
Hope you get to experience Anza-Borrego while you are in SoCal. I have a feeling you guys would dig on the slot canyons.
I loved the video, I follow them but I never comment, it is the second time that her husband speaks Spanish rather than the different language I live in Orlando FL. but I'm from Puerto Rico, success and forward
