Like these a lot even the stock exhaust although it could be louder but sometimes it’s best not to mess with them. I’m just thinking about a commuter I only work 4.5 miles from home but lots of backroads and fishing holes off fire roads
yea it's a very rural area where I ride I have since gotten the 2022 honda grom. The grom is a lot more comfortable for longer rides. But I think the best thing about these mini motor is that they're even cheaper than a new ebike with a Bosch system. You really can't beat these bikes for the value. Not to mention the fuel economy if great even better on the grom. Like literally an extra 20mpg better than the z125 got. Plus reg and insurance prices are so low.
@@crypticreality8484 i miss the color scheme of the z 125. That was nice. The seat on the z125 was better for really leaning over in corners like a sport bike but the tires cant handle it. The z125 also has built in protection for the exhaust from the facyory even if it was just a plastic fairing it still was something to prevent everything from just getting kicked up directly onto the exhaust like it does on the grom. Though this is easily fixed with a skid plate.
Funny we have a Midway Dinner out in Ashford Ct but it’s a goner due to fire owners not rebuilding. Ct has different laws for the interstate this isn’t allowed on them but there’s more than enough roads to go around. Buddy used a cheaper Bride Seat on his it’s a lot better than stock. Factory tires do suck
@@Skisproductions mine was getting rusty too. I adjust every my chain every 600 miles or less. I got a chain brush, chain degreaser and got the surface rust off and then put chain wax on. I want to get some after market chain adjusters with hex adjusters. I hate box wrench adjusters.
No, i dont prefer abs to be on my motorcycles or if it is i like to be able to turn it off. Tbh the only bike i had with abs was my gsxs1000f abs, the abs could be disabled at a push of a button it also had traction control which had traction assist levels. On small bikes like these, abs offers little to no benefit because the brakes are so weak. Plus abs holds back your skill level and u end up mashing on the brakes instead of steadily squeezing them like u should, then they dont work wen u need them to because abs takes u out of control. Especially true when you are practicing emergency stop tests at a motorcycle school when you have to stop within a cone area. People who had abs were shown the difference between having it on and having it off and how much quicker they could stop without it on and not skidding a tire usually u end up with ur back wheel leaving the ground the back wheel does almost nothing. What i did find abs useful for is riding in rain and snow because sometimes my rear tire would be locked up and i didnt even know it til i start to slide sideways having abs on helped with that. Traction control i tested it out on ice with my 1000cc wen i decided to ride motorcycle year round instead of taking my trucks. Traction control helps make sure you dont put too much torque down in poor traction conditions and detects when you start to break traction. But as far as im aware of there is no abs version for the z. However if you really want abs the honda grom does have abs.
I weighed about 225 wen i rode it. It will go slow up hills and wenever theres a headwind. Id say dont go on the highway stick to roads with a 50mph speed limit with it until it gets broke in it gets a little faster after it gets broke in also runs a little faster once it gets warmed up. Its def a good bike to learn on very confidence inspiring because of how low to the ground u are. Its got a shifter and clutch so u can learn how to shift properly and u can learn clutchless shifting on it. I only ever used my clutch for stopping and going. On the positive side if u fall over or crash parts are super cheap. Literally if u screw up the engine its only like 1k for a new engine but ive never heard of anybody blowimg the engine on one of these ull usually stall b4 u can do any damage. So yea def a great bike for beginner riders but i think at 300lbs it may struggle with hills but u will probably have to b in 2nd or 3rd for hills. I used 3rd going up a 15% gradient steepest and longest hill around me i think it was going around 40-45mph up that hill. But u have to keep in mind this bike is truly designed for 35mph. So u will not get anywhere fast but it will get u there.... eventually. Ive hit top speeds of like 67 but u gotta tuck down low to go that fast. Of course i ran mine stock and the top speed was hindered by the rev limiter. But it does have an adjustable shock.
Well for the price its nice. But dont buy one of these expecting to ride it everywhere. These are mainly designed and made for city riding around 35-40mph. Now i live in the country side so i just wot everywhere lol. I like it cuz its small and light weight. If ure gonna buy ine of these things just kniw ure not gonna go anywhere fast but youll get there.
Most Kawasaki Z125 pros in the us are manual but from wat i understand there are just the regular z125 that was automatic most if them are not automatic. Because if they are automatic they are legally a scooter but having a manual makes them legally a motorcycle. However the z125 and z125 performance without the pro is the full sized version in europe that is available in automatic or 6 speed manual. That being said i almost never used my clutch on any of my motorcycles as im able to rev match shift for the most part only times i use the clutch is taking off from a stop, sitting at a stop signal, or wen i have to stop quickly. You can find the full sized z125 here its a european kawasaki website not available for purchase in the us. www.kawasaki.fr/fr/products/Roadsters/2022/Z125_Performance/overview?Uid=0843UFhZUF0KXVBeDltbXFhRUVBeCVEOWAsNXl0MWVpcDgw#colorAndSpecification
I am currently planning on keeping it stock. May just throw some off road tires on it for winter but im having issues cuz i need liie dirtbike tires and all i see are scooter tires which are hard rubber compounds that look aggressive but due to the hard rubber compound makes them slip instead of grip low traction surfaces.
I actually use the bicycle mount on pretty much everything. They do make a motorcycle mount though. But the bicycle mount is just secures with a rubber band and ive never had it pop off on even my down hill bike or my atv while off roading so i can say with confidence it wont fall off.
u still have nubs on the sides of those tires bro, you arent shifting ur weight enough or something if its trying to slide out, looks like you havent used half of the tire! also pressure could be a little high, that mixed with cold roads could cause it i guess.
Trust me u cant lean over on these tires. Im a level 3 trained rider which is the level b4 u can be a certified motorcycle instructor. My 1000 i had b4 this no problem. Ive dragged my knee b4. But on this is starts slipping if u lean over the tire is simply not designed to keep traction like that its a scooter tire not a motorcycle tire scooter guys dont usually drag their knees lol. And i know from the facebook page im not the only one who has that issue. Your other option is to scrape the outside of the tire with wet sand paper to get the factory protective coating off but ive never had to do that on my other motorcycles usually in like the first 200 mi it was broken in. But roads were not cold it was summer time lows in the high 60s and 70s.
