I allways believed it was mary herself who was the holy grail the vessel God chose to bring forth himself without sin so therefore she being a conduit or vessel of the lord in such a big way allways led me to believe her body aslo decencended to heaven as she herself was and is the holy grail

Can't believe this is the only media from an old movie series in entertainment up until now that faithfully depicts not just the Assumption, but also the Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Like seriously, if you try to search any videos regarding the Assumption and Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary from a movie, there isn't any media coming from contemporary shows and movies, except from this classical film. This needs to have a remake in today's time indeed. 🙏

Orthodox Christianity basically believes the same thing - except that she died an earthly, physical death and was miraculously taken into Heaven bodily after her burial. The day, called the Dormition, is celebrated on the same day as the Assumption (August 15), and is a public holiday in Greece.

My evangelical friends all say "where in the Bible does it say Mary was assumed into heaven?" They are right, it doesn't say. But logically, would Our Lord want His holy earthly mother to suffer death, and corruption? Plus, for centuries after the death, resurrection, and ascension of Our Lord, there were man relics of saints to which were attributed miraculous healing powers, and relics traceable to any of the Apostles, or Paul, or any of the first martyrs and saints were highly sought and venerated. But in the entire historical record, there is no record of any relics having belonged to Mary. The logical conclusion must be that there were none because there was no body left to provide such relics.

      Sure!
Gen. 5:24, Heb. 11:5 - Enoch was bodily assumed into heaven without dying. Would God do any less for Mary the Ark of the New Covenant?
2 Kings 2:11-12; 1 Mac 2:58 - Elijah was assumed into heaven in fiery chariot. Jesus would not do any less for His Blessed Mother.
Psalm 132:8 - Arise, O Lord, and go to thy resting place, thou and the Ark (Mary) of thy might. Both Jesus and Mary were taken up to their eternal resting place in heaven.
2 Cor. 12:2 - Paul speaks of a man in Christ who was caught up to the third heaven. Mary was also brought up into heaven by God.
Matt. 27:52-53 - when Jesus died and rose, the bodies of the saints were raised. Nothing in Scripture precludes Mary’s assumption into heaven.
1 Thess. 4:17 - we shall be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and so we shall always be with the Lord.
Rev. 12:1 - we see Mary, the “woman,” clothed with the sun. While in Rev. 6:9 we only see the souls of the martyrs in heaven, in Rev. 12:1 we see Mary, both body and soul.
2 Thess. 2:15 - Paul instructs us to hold fast to oral (not just written) tradition. Apostolic tradition says Mary was assumed into heaven. While claiming the bones of the saints was a common practice during these times (and would have been especially important to obtain Mary’s bones as she was the Mother of God), Mary’s bones were never claimed. This is because they were not available. Mary was taken up body and soul into heaven.

      Daniel-Pedro Abacum
Thank you so much . This would have some sense, but the doctrine of Mary's Assumption fit with the Catholic faith only because the church claim that Mary never sinned. Which is not true, because accordingly to The Word of God Mary herself admitted that she needed a Savior. Why would she say that, if she had no sin? Because she knew that she is a sinner
Luke 1:47 "and my spirit rejoices in God, MY SAVIOR"
Ecclesiastes 7:20 "Indeed, there is NO ONE ON EARTH who is righteous, NO ONE who does what is right and NEVER SINS"
Why tradition says Mary never sinned? Is Mary human from Earth? If She would not sin the Bible would say: every one sinned except Her.
CLEARLY that there is no human on earth who never sinned.
Would you agree that at least religious tradition should NOT CHANGE FACTS which ARE obvious in the Bible ?
But i find out that Catholic religion do not keep the truth from the Word . PLEASE judge this by yourself i will give you a few examples, maybe you will have some explanation for that:
The Bible says that God is NOT COUNTING my sins anymore ever after i am in Christ.
2 Cor 5:19 "that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, NOT COUNTING people's sins against them"
Romans 8:1 "Therefore, there is now NO CONDEMNATION for those who are in Christ Jesus"
That i should have NO CONSCIENCE of sin anymore after coming to Christ
Heb 10:2 "once purged should have had no more conscience of sins" I never heared about this from priest.Always was: behave,do not sin,go to confession so you will avoid hell
We Have GUARANTEED Salvation only by fact that we BELIEVE! Not by being good and good works or not by indulgences !!
      THIS IS REALLY GOOD NEWS!!!!
Romans 4:4-5 "Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
But to him that worketh not, BUT BELIEVETH on him that justifieth the ungodly, his FAITH is counted for righteousness"
If we would be going to heaven by being good it would be not a GIFT OF GOD,but payment for our good behavior.
Romans 5:1 "Therefore being justified by FAITH, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ"
Romans 3:28 "Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by FAITH, WITHOUT the deeds of the law /(10 Commandments)"
I never in my life heared about just believing to go to Heaven.I always heared to do good deeds, not to sin to avoid purgatory.
I learned that purgatory does not exist in a Bible.Bible says in Luke 16:19-31 about Abraham's bosom but it was NOT purgatory ,but place underground where went souls of all those who accepted future Savior. Souls those who rejected Savior were going to Hell.
Jesus was the first person who opened the gates of Heaven for human kind after His Resurrection and all souls from Abraham`s Bosom went to Heaven .
Psalm 24:9 "Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in"
In Abraham's bosom was no suffering or crying, there was abundance of food water and peace, that even rich man from hell (Luke 16) was asking Lazarus for water, but it was impossible to do.
I learned from the Bible that i do not have to ask Mary for help, nor go to purgatory to be saved, because i am already FORGIVEN of everything even future sins.
In fact Bible says that if there is purgatory which is cleansing people from sins or somebody like Mary who can help me to be forgiven by ANY means, then Jesus DIED IN VAIN
Gal 2:21 "for if righteousness come by the law (do not do this and that), then Christ is dead IN VAIN"
The Word of God showed me that many people think that they have to do something to assure they Salvation by good behavior or asking Mary for prayers. And then, when they get to heaven they would be proud of themselves how good they did and will go to Mary to thank her for help. But God showed me that this is a LIE. Nobody even Mary will take away His Glory for Saving us. And nobody will BOAST about helping us to go there. Jesus is the ONLY Mediator and only reason we will be there
1 Tim 2:5 -For there is one God, and ONE MEDIATOR between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So according to BIBLE (not a priest) Mary is NOT a Mediator,ONLY JESUS
Eph 2:9 "not by works, so that NO ONE can BOAST"
So i moved to MATURITY and trust only Him.
Heb 6:1"Therefore let us MOVE beyond the elementary teachings about Christ, and be taken forward to MATURITY, NOT laying AGAIN the foundation of repentance (indulgences) from dead works, and go to FAITH toward God"
What do you think, please share your thoughts. Thank you so much in advance

    • @jegsyscarr9306
      @jegsyscarr9306 8 років тому +1

You don't need to have sinned to have a saviour. Mary was saved in an even deeper way than all of us, because Jesus saved her from even having Original Sin in the first place, whereas the rest of us have Original Sin first and are saved from it later. Think of it as the difference between falling into a pit and being pulled out or it, and being prevented from falling into the pit in the first place. Both times, the person is being saved.
When the Bible says that all have sinned, it can't mean that LITERALLY everyone has sinned, because even apart from Mary, there are millions of people who have never sinned: for example, babies and young children, and those with severe learning difficulties. These are people who will die without EVER having committed a sin against God. Rather the Bible is saying that generally speaking, everyone has sinned.
The Bible also does not say that once we are saved, we are guaranteed to be saved. If we become Christians, but later reject God, then no, we are not going to be saved. St Paul himself tells us this in 1 Corinthians 9:27: "I pummel my body and subdue it, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified." - even Paul himself knows that he can turn away from God and lose his salvation. And Jesus Himself tells us that "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord', shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."
When the Bible speaks of God's mercy, that He will always forgive our sins, that's true, but only if we continue to ask for His forgiveness when we sin. If we decide that we don't want to follow God, that we no longer care about sin, and no longer ask for His forgiveness, then we can't be saved, because God doesn't force anyone to go to Heaven against their will. There are a lot of people unfortunately who became Christian and later rejected God, even went to their deaths saying that they hated Him. Are they still guaranteed a place in Heaven, even though they don't want to go there? Sometimes people will claim that, "Those people, they were never *really* saved in the first place, they only thought they were." Well, in that case, none of us can be sure we are saved! If I think I am saved, then how am I different from that person who also thought he was saved, but later rejected God? In other words, the only way to 'know' that someone is saved is to wait and see if they are still following God by the time they die! So we can't be sure of our salvation!
Are we saved by faith alone, or by faith and good works? Well, that all depends: what do you mean by "faith"? Do you mean intellectual faith? "I believe that Jesus died for my sins, therefore I'll continue to live as sinful a life as I want"? No, when people talk about "faith alone", they mean both intellectual faith and faith "lived", applying your faith to your life by keeping the commandments as best you can. Well, that's what Catholics believe, too. It's just that we call them different things: by "good works", we're talking about faith lived through following Jesus.
Read those verses from Romans again, and you'll notice that Paul is not condemning good works. He's condemning "works of the law", as in, the laws of the old Jewish covenant, such as circumcision and keeping kosher. It's NOT referring to the Ten Commandments, the moral law. We see this if we read the verses in context: "For we hold that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the law. Or is God the God of the Jews only? Is he not the God of the Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, since God is one: and he will justify the circumcised on the ground of their faith, and the uncircumcised through their faith."
However, it's important to note that we can't "buy" our way into heaven by performing good works, because we can't perform ANY good works without the grace of God. But we need to co-operate with God's grace. We can't just say, "I'm saved, I don't need to try to live a good life." We can go our whole lives trying and failing to follow the commandments, and we will be saved - but we do have to TRY. Some of the greatest saints wrote about how they struggled with sin their whole lives, but were joyful in the knowledge that they were trying their best to co-operate with the grace God gave them.
I don't know who told you that purgatory is the same thing as the bosom of Abraham. That's not what Catholics believe. Purgatory is not "where you go to be saved". If you're not already saved and going to Heaven, then purgatory can't help you. Think of purgatory as acting as heaven's front porch, getting spiritually cleaned up before going into heaven. Think of this: we know that nothing impure or imperfect can enter heaven. Are we all perfectly holy and pure at the moment we die? Catholics give the name "purgatory" to the process by which those souls destined for heaven are made perfectly pure. Now, it's not taught that purgatory is a "place" per se, but rather a process. It's also not known whether purgatory takes "time", or whether it happens immediately after death in just a moment.
There are several places in the Bible that seem to refer to a further purification after death. In Matthew 12:32, Jesus says that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven in this age, "or in the age to come". In Matthew 5:25-26, He says: "Make friends quickly with your accuser, while you are going with him to court, lest your accuser hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you be put in prison; truly I say to you, you will never get out till you have paid the last penny." But the clearest text is in 1 Corinthians 3:11-15:
"For no other foundation can any one lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any one builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble-each man’s work will become manifest; for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work which any man has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire."
It's clearly talking about the judgement after death, and a man's works being "tested" with fire. And it can't simply be about, testing whether someone is going to heaven or hell, because it says that if the works are burned up, the man will be saved, but "only as through fire".
Having to be purified from sin after death is not saying that Jesus died in vain. Who is DOING the purifying, if not Jesus Himself? We accept that Jesus's sacrifice is what is purifying us in this life: saying that Jesus continues to purify us after death, that doesn't change anything. It's still only because of Jesus's crucifixion, because of Jesus's blood, that we can be saved at all.
Now, it's also true that there is one mediator between God and man, and that is Jesus. That doesn't mean, though, that Christians aren't allowed to pray for each other. Christians pray for each other all the time, asking others to pray for the, and no one thinks that this is contrary to the faith. The Bible tells us in Revelations that the angels are taking the prayers of the faithful and presenting them to God (Rev 8:3-4). In other words, someone on earth has asked the angels to take their prayers and requests and give them to God. That is all the intercession of the saints it: when we pray to the saints, it's not in the sense of asking them to grant us our requests by their OWN power. Rather, it's recognising that these are people who are now with God experiencing the Beatific Vision, and asking them to pass on our prayers to God, and to ask them to also pray for us to Him. This is no different to asking a friend to pray for you - all of the prayers are still going "through" Jesus.
I hope this is helpful for you. I recommend visiting the Catholic Answers website (catholic dot com), where you can find a lot more resources.

It would be nice if I was not forced to watch a political ad before watching this mystery. I think UA-cam should not let political ads be inserted into people's prayer life. This is not the place for nay kind of political ad from either party period.
