NC STATE expected WVU to run on inside.They underestimated Neal Browns coaching.We have speed on the outside and it gave the offense some positive plays that really got WVU going.Hopefully,WVU found some play makers in this game to build on.This team needs to be consistant and build an identity on offense.Special team is banging it.Defense is solid as I've seen a WVU defense in a while.Hope the climb takes them another step forward this week coming up against Kansas.The Jayhawks went to BC and handled them pretty well.WVU needs to bring their A GAME in all phases and get Neal Brown his first road and conference victory.You can do this!Mountaineer nation is behind you.

Why did they take a knee, instead of kicking the extra point at the end ? Anyway, they looked good against a very good North Carolina team. I would say they redeemed themselves from the Mizzou loss last week.
Because the lead was 17 points, 3 possession game. In Neals mind, 18 point lead made no difference, but if the extra point was blocked and returned the other way it's now a 15 point and two possession game. So keeping it at 17 was the safest way to secure victory.

Realize that NC state wasn't prepared for WVUs edge running game and that wvu will have to be able to run up the middle in the weeks to come. Every team now has tape on WVU.
NC State was exactly what I expected them to be.. overrated. Their two victories were against East Carolina which hasn't had a winning season in about six years and an FCS team. Next we have Kansas who somehow managed to lose to Myrtle Beach University and then turned around and beat Boston College, and then Texas comes to town. So excuse me all to hell if I'm not yet sold on the quality of this WVU team and it's coaching staff.
Johnny Chaos We played way better against NC State then James Madison imo so it shows improvement at least. The fact we just benched a bunch of guys and have a lot of true freshmen playing it's pretty impressive.
