Yeah, it took me a while to realize it's really just a variation of that same theme that plays up until that moment, or at least it's built from the same ideas. You might be interested in a video I've been working on all about a theme from the second movie. It's getting really close to being finished and I'm hoping to upload it by the end of this week.
It is really nice there. This is that project I mentioned before. I think you might be interested in it and I hope you can enjoy! ua-cam.com/video/9e718DgOZ4k/v-deo.html
Excellent cover. I love the added flourishes you put in there. You made it fit in without it sounding too busy. This makes me want to check this movie out again.
Thanks! It's slow-going, but the channel is definitely still growing all the time. I'm not sure you've seen, but I have other kinds of HTTYD videos, too. I have re-scores and HTTYD score analysis videos, which I think are the most interesting.
Nice! I really like this a lot; it's certainly unique, and I like how the piece stays true to the score while having a few extras flares thrown in. In my opinion, it would've added a really nice touch to use sustain a lot more than at the end, but I understand that you probably had no control over it since it was put together in a program. Overall, it's super nice, and you timed it with the scene well! ;) Great job! ^^
Thanks! I'm glad you picked up on those added details. I did consider using more sustain towards the end but for whatever reason, I didn't. I also forget a few bass notes from 1:18-1:22, but I added those in my music only video of the song. I'll add that to the description.
Seeing this scene again, after so many years, getting older, and after knowing the whole story, I know how great this was. And to see their relationships first come together with such beautiful music is touching.
Hey Brianna! Sorry I only noticed your comment just now, UA-cam has been pretty selective lately about which comments it notifies me of. You're right, it is a really special moment and it helps to have the full picture of the story now. I don't know if you saw, but I also did a video on a theme in the sequels that really conveys the highs and lows of that story through the end, from the perspective of John Powell. This is the link if you want to check it out! ua-cam.com/video/9e718DgOZ4k/v-deo.html
Good ear. It's kind of a cross between his version and Alex Sheen's version, with some of my own changes in there, too. For example, the tempo speeds up several times and I had to do all of those changes myself. And I'll check out your channel soon!
Thanks, that’s very kind of you. My channel mainly has a lot of things people don’t really listen to though or haven’t heard of😅 I have a huge project list and movie soundtracks are at the middle. I’ve only just scratched the surface. Oh but I do have a flying with mother arrangement using a pretty terrible soundfont when I first started out haha
BEST SCENE EVER I WILL CRY!
I just love the music where hiccup is "dancing" then ends up under toothless.... beautiful

@@FilmScoreandMore i might be if I was allowed to watch the second movie... T-T
@@darksun.et.al.99 Hmm, that's strange. The second movie is definitely darker, but it's still rated PG. I hope you get to see it some day!

Thanks, that's about what I aim for in these; something accurate but still new without being too much.
Its amazing that Toothless let Hiccup come to him.
I think he warmed up to him enough by that point.
wow you should have 1m subs!!

Scenes and Scores I just stumbled across this channel by chance and you’re all over his videos lol. Subbed to you both

Well, I'll check it out anyway! And "Flying with Mother" is one of the many songs I'm working on.
