You prolly dont give a shit but if you guys are stoned like me atm then you can watch all the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Have been streaming with my gf these days xD
My mom would rub Vaseline on our faces before we would o out and play in the snow in the Midwest winters. Used Noxzema as sunburn relief also good for windburn. Oil of Olay in the glass bottle was the first moisturizer I bought as a teenager. I really wish the cosmetic companies would reintroduce their products in the vintage inspired packages.
I use the Jergens Face Cream to remove my makeup every night! I get it at Walmart for like $3 for such a big container. I hope they never stop making it!
I used Jergens for forever and absolutely LOVED it, but a few months ago when I went to buy a new jar I noticed the ingredients had changed 😣😣 I switched to Ponds and it’s also working great for my skin!
I personally have used many of these. Vaseline has been the biggest game changer for me; I for most of my teen/adult life had horribly calloused, cracked, dirty, scaly feet (due to being barefoot ALL OF THE TIME). Used expensive creams, treatments, scrubs, tools, never with really satisfactory results. So several months ago I starting applying a generous amount to my feet after showering and throwing socks on over it for the day (so I could still feel barefoot). My feet are so nice I wouldn't even mind modeling them now!
I love Pond's cold cream!! 😍❤ I have used alot of other designer face creams before but nothing comes close to Ponds!! I love collecting old vintage jars. vintage makeup cases, mirrors, old perfumes etc. They were all so classy back then. I wish they were like that now.
My grandma used the three faced Jergens face cream and lotion smelling like cherry almond. My Nina used Ponds Dry Skin Cream. Currently, I'm using Ponds Cold Cream, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, Ponds Dry Skin Cream, Vaseline. My daughter bathes with Dove.
I remember the days of Ponds in white, glass jars. they had cold cream, vanishing cream and moisturiser (this in Australia) with green, pink and blue lids respectively. My mother, now in her 98th year always said that your moisturiser and cleanser should be one and the same
Those are great! It really brings back memories of my Mother and older sister that passed away 5 years ago. Could you review camay soap next? That one was my Mother's favorite.
Nivea creme from Germany is very similar to La Mer in formulation. My older sister swears by Ponds cold cream and still uses it today. she has great skin. Love all those vintage beauty products. it's comforting to me somehow...reminds me of my mom's dressing table. Love the video! And I am inspired to buy some of these products ....Noxzema reminds me of my High School years.
I just discovered your channel and have been binge watching. I forgot about all of these beautiful things. I can still remember the smell of the Avon Rich Moisture cream in the blue jar. The cream was a pale yellow colour. My mother had the pink Oil of Olay in the glass jars back in the 70s.
I use the rose salve. My tin is emptier than yours. Time to reorder. I don’t think I would transfer new products into old jars. It would be too hard to sanitize them. 🤗💖
I've used Vaseline as lip balm my entire life. When I'm really dry (in winter) I use it with my lotion. I've used Dove soap and Oil of Olay since I was about 15 (unscented because I have sensitive skin). I've always had flawless skin. About 7 years ago I started using Ponds at night (for extra moisturizer), and it is just amazing. I never use soap or makeup remover. I just use Dove. I LOVE DOVE SOAP. I've tried more expensive brands, but they are expensive, and frankly sub par in comparison. I've had severely dry skin and eczema my entire life, and these products just work. I'm almost 45 now and people always say they think I'm in my 30s. I think it's largely to my simple skincare routine of Dove, Oil of Olay and Ponds!
I just ordered olay active hydrating beauty fluid. I hope it works for me, I’m 41. I’ve tried so many. But the one I always go back is okay moisturizer. But I’ve never tried their pink bottle before.
What fun memories! My mom used Ponds. I loved Noxema as a teen, then in my 20s and 30s was Dive soap and Oil of Olay. Rosebud Salve is on my purse right now. Love your vids!
I started using the big pink tub of Jergens face cream. My mom laughed at me when I bought it but my face is so dry and I started putting it before bed and sleeping with it and now my skin is so soft and feels so moisturized. People already think I’m 10 years younger than I am but now it’s actually justifiable. Thank goodness for face masks. The scent is strong though so be aware. You have to able to handle it.
Pro tip: if you’re worried about getting labels wet but want to transfer contents use scotch tape and plastic wrap to seal the vintage label. But make sure the tape doesn’t touch the label itself. I find it works well but I avoid prolong submersion in water. Under the tap is fine tho.
I used Oil of Olay when growing up. I think the formula has changed. I loved the original bottle as well. My mom passed 4 years ago at the age of 87. I could kick myself for throwing some of her things away she kept that you are showing!!!
Did you know that you can use Vicks VapoRub as an anti-wrinkle cream and to help treat acne? I even use it when my sinuses are bothering me. Coronor's use it under their nose and in their nose to reduce the smell of everything.
Hi Laura it's interesting video as always. Many brands still exist, wow! Like Nivea, Dove soap, oil of Olay. Please next video you could dedicate make up. Products like eyeshadows, blush, foundation, mascara, highlighter and eyebrows pencils existed? Thanks bye 👋👋☺️☺️☺️
Every woman in my family loves Noxema it is honestly the only skincare item I ever remember my mom using. She would be mistaken as my sister literally up until she passed away even though we were 28 years apart. It is one of only two non vegan products I use because nothing feels better than a Noxema mask a couple times a week. Especially during Covid when we all have Maskne hehe
The smell of Noxema always brings me back to my 90’s childhood! 🥰 My mom used it every night and I remember the whole bathroom would smell like Noxema the rest of the night!
Used to use Thayers, much prefer Dr. Teal's Rosewater Organic Witch Hazel. I get it at Wal- Mart. There's also Lavender, and a couple more. All organic, very nice!
This showed up on my feed after Jackie Aina recommended your channel! I love some of these old school drugstore skincare products. I wouldn't recommend transferring the new products into the old containers for fear of mixing in dirt and bacteria in the process. I do agree that the vintage containers are so much prettier to look at!
The one time I tried Noxzema my face felt like it was on fire. I think my skin is too sensitive for it. But, I love Pond’s fragrance free cold cream for the first part of my double cleanse.
I'm so glad somebody said something about this! The volatile oils in Noxema are much too strong for many people-- and I have the scars to prove it! To be fair, It does make a lovely refreshing cream for sore tired feet-- just be sure to wash it off with soap and water after enjoying the cooling sensations on your feet.
Maybe for your store you should design vintage jars and bottles to hold really simple skincare stuff like Noxzema and Ponds, etc...stuff a lot of people use and would love to have appropriate little vintage containers to dump their stuff into that they could reuse time and again. They could be plain containers but just in all kinds of shapes and sizes but with it in mind that they should be able to hold the amount of product that many of these generic jars come with.
Glad I found your channel, as a lover of vintage, skincare, old bottles and jars this checked all the boxes. I'd be in the same conundrum, should I or shouldn't I, I'd probably go for the one without the label first then maybe test drive another with a label to see how it plays out. Thnks for the great content
Jergen's Face Cream makes an EXCELLENT cold cream. If any of you find Pond's too irritating, try the Jergen's. Jergen's is also a heck of a lot cheaper for soooo much more product. You can find it on the bottom shelf at most Walmarts. HIH!!!
Great video I don’t think you should empty the old jars out just leave them. I’m currently using the Olay lotion every morning love the old fashioned smell
Olay used to be Oil of Ulay here in Europe. It changed to Olay about 30 years ago. You might try and source a bottle. The beautiful contents are the same as today.
I need to find that rose balm! That looks lovely :) I make my own witch hazel infused with home grown roses and put it in an antique bottle. It makes me feel so girly!
A few years ago I found a small jergens lotion glass jar buried in my backyard with other glass stuff the only reason I knew it was jergens was because in the bottom it said jergens I even found a small brown glass jar and it said Vicks in the bottom.
Loved this video so much! I would say use the jars without paper labels like the Olay jar and the Avon jar, but I don’t think refilling the jars and bottles with paper labels would work out so well, too much hassle and the paper labels could get ruined.
I have been using the Cetaphil cleanser for years. I use it as my water-based cleanser following an oil-based cleanser to remove my makeup. If you use menstrual cups, it also makes a great cup cleaner.
loved your video❤️ Cetaphil revived the 1940s jar here in korea for the 75th anniversary and I just bought it🥹 I haven’t seen anything about it on the internet yet so I just thought i’d share! -new subscriber🥰
Olay is nothing like it used to be sadly. I used my mothers oil of Ulay beauty fluid, it was very, very pale in colour and runny, but omg it made your skin so nice. The one out these days is awful even the fragrance free one is nothing compared to the original 😢
I remember when Oil of Olay was called Oil of Ulay. My mum used to use it. My Nan used to use the Nivea cream in the tin, container. She also used to use Atrixo cream and the original Alberto balsam shampoo and conditioner.. which smelled beautiful!
Ponds Cold Cream fragrance free is the BEST cleansing balm you can use to take off your makeup. I can rub it all over my eyes and it takes waterproof mascara off like nothing. I prefer fragrance free because most fragrance irritates my eyes and skin.
Oil of Olay is really nice and Avon’s Rich Moisture cream is also very good. I also like Nivea. The fragrance of Nivea is devine . I have purchased most of these creams in the past.

You prolly dont give a shit but if you guys are stoned like me atm then you can watch all the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Have been streaming with my gf these days xD
@Lyle Brendan Definitely, been using InstaFlixxer for years myself :)
@Laura, just use wet and dry washcloths/ paper towels to wash out your containers. Then you won't risk damaging those labels. Just a thought. HIH
Wait-what? Can you still get those old school Olay bottles? I love original Olay without sunscreen scent.
Ainda uso Nivea, dove, continuam muito bons
You know why they dont? Look it up, freak.
Vintage packaging was much prettier! I love the glass jars and all the pink colors of the 50s.
1950s packaging has a very fancy/elegant look to it 👌
I remember when Oil Of Olay came in a glass bottle. I still prefer, things in glass if possible. Really enjoy all your video's.
It was called Oil of Ulan in Australia and I remember the glass bottle.
All products in glass, are wayyyy healthier because of the poisons found in plastics- I agree, glass bottle of Olay was better.
I remember the pretty glass bottle with the pink lotion. It was heavenly!
Remember there was an olay pink soap that smelled just like it?
Glass is better for the environment too!
I use the Jergens Face Cream to remove my makeup every night! I get it at Walmart for like $3 for such a big container. I hope they never stop making it!
I use the Pond’s fragrance free cold cream. Those inexpensive oldie but goodie products are the best!
I love that stuff too
So true, I love the Jergens face cream! My skin is dry and it's the best. I use vaseline under my eyes for years,it does work.
I used Jergens for forever and absolutely LOVED it, but a few months ago when I went to buy a new jar I noticed the ingredients had changed 😣😣 I switched to Ponds and it’s also working great for my skin!
I hear putting Vaseline where you spray your perfume helps the perfume last longer because the Vaseline moisturizes your skin.
I love Pond's cold cream!! 😍❤
I have used alot of other designer face creams before but nothing comes close to Ponds!! I love collecting old vintage jars. vintage makeup cases, mirrors, old perfumes etc. They were all so classy back then. I wish they were like that now.
Nothing like vintage glamour.... :)
I love the vintage jars they really should bring them back! Thanks for the video I use many of these products.
My family still swears by Pond’s!
Still using Oil of Olay beauty fluid in 2021... I always keep a bottle on my dressing table 👍
I'm 61 and have been using Vaseline all my adult life to remove makeup and my undereye area is in great shape with very few wrinkles
Wow, your visuals and editing skills have gotten better. Love the new visuals 👍💗
Awe thanks glad you like them
I remember the days of Ponds in white, glass jars. they had cold cream, vanishing cream and moisturiser (this in Australia) with green, pink and blue lids respectively. My mother, now in her 98th year always said that your moisturiser and cleanser should be one and the same
Taking your grandma’s tip. Thanks for sharing ❤
Have been using Noxzema, Vaseline, and ponds for years.
Those are great! It really brings back memories of my Mother and older sister that passed away 5 years ago. Could you review camay soap next? That one was my Mother's favorite.
Oh yes, Camay! I remember it well, a luxury, beauty soap
My grandmother used Nevia Creme, my mother uses it and me and my sisters swear by it!
I use ponds everything! Really love them. People ask me what I use constantly and never believe it. I definitely love Nivea cream too!
I use 4 different Ponds products on a daily basis, along with Thayer’s Blemish Clearing toner, and my skin is the best it’s ever looked! 😍
I use the rose salve. My tin is emptier than yours. Time to reorder. I don’t think I would transfer new products into old jars. It would be too hard to sanitize them. 🤗💖
Still use ponds! My mom and her sisters used it 3 times a day and their skin was gorgeous! Still is.

Love the Queen Helene products, especially the Mint Julep face mask.I use it a couple times a week, and the Mint Julep face scrub, is divine as well!
I would love it if all of these came in old school style packaging
My daughter uses Cetaphil she loves it. I use dove soap and oil of olay beauty fluid and I absolutely love it and I won't use anything else.
I have the pink bar dove soap, I love it but I didn't know it was vintage wow, I have very sensitive skin dove is the best, love from Ireland 🍀💗💖💟
Love the smell of the original Olay face cream.
Wow the old packaging is really pretty!
Queen Helene Gel and Ponds Moisturizer are literally my MAIN products! I love them! 💖🙌🏼
What fun memories! My mom used Ponds. I loved Noxema as a teen, then in my 20s and 30s was Dive soap and Oil of Olay. Rosebud Salve is on my purse right now. Love your vids!
I love Oil of Olay! It works great
Me too so classic
Love the new video format. Don't empty your vintage bottles keep them original!
Ponds cold cream is genuinely an amazing moisturizer. Ive purchased it more than once. I also really like the smell and using it as a lip mask
Thank you for all the work you put into your videos. I've been Binge watching them. 😍 I need to buy more products now 😊
Noxema is great for summer, and also winter too! It opens your sinuses and when rubbed on achy muscles and joints makes the pain go right away!
I would love to see a video of you transferring your modern products into vintage containers
Pro tip: if you’re worried about getting labels wet but want to transfer contents use scotch tape and plastic wrap to seal the vintage label. But make sure the tape doesn’t touch the label itself. I find it works well but I avoid prolong submersion in water. Under the tap is fine tho.
My grandma used the Lemon ponds cream I miss it. The Nivea blue top formula changed, I would use it on my children when they were babies😩
I used Oil of Olay when growing up. I think the formula has changed. I loved the original bottle as well. My mom passed 4 years ago at the age of 87. I could kick myself for throwing some of her things away she kept that you are showing!!!
Just scoop out the old and pour hot water in and wipe it out and add the New ponds cream.. I love Nivia and Vaseline! Noxzema is amazing too! 💗💕
Did you know that you can use Vicks VapoRub as an anti-wrinkle cream and to help treat acne? I even use it when my sinuses are bothering me. Coronor's use it under their nose and in their nose to reduce the smell of everything.
I use it in place of deodorant.its really nice on hot days because its minty hahaha
As an 80's teen. I used Noxema as a night masque. I never knew it could be used on your feet.
Pacquin was something my mother used.
While it’s very tempting to clean out the vintage ponds jar, I would leave things be if it were me. 🤔 🧴
In England we have Crowes Cremine, scented with geranium oil, fantastic, vintage ptoduct!! Used for cleansing, super moisturising too.
Cetaphil is wonderful stuff! I have sensitive skin and my dad was a dermatologist. He recommended Cetaphil. I wear it over my Chanel Hydra Serum😛
If I put Vaseline on under my makeup, I would look like an oil slick lol
Ponds Cold Cream, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, Ponds Dry Skin Cream, Vaseline, and Dove❤️
Love these videos. Where did you find your vintage containers ? I so wish they made these products in glass jars again.
I still use Jergens and now my daughters and granddaughters due too
I've used the Olay Moisturizer for sensitive skin for years. Works better than so many higher end products. Great video.

Love Thayers toner! Best toner I've used.
My local drugstore carries it. I’ll pick up a bottle the next time I there. 🧴
It’s so good!!
Used to use Thayers, much prefer Dr. Teal's Rosewater Organic Witch Hazel. I get it at Wal- Mart. There's also Lavender, and a couple more. All organic, very nice!

So happy you found me! Thanks for stopping by! I might try to clean out some of the containers first to try
Which video did Jackie mention her in??
The one time I tried Noxzema my face felt like it was on fire. I think my skin is too sensitive for it. But, I love Pond’s fragrance free cold cream for the first part of my double cleanse.

I use Noxzema. People think I am still in my 20s and my children are in their 20s.
Have you considered using some kind of sealant on the bottle/jar labels before you decant the old product and clean it? Just a thought.
Great idea!
I swear by that lip balm it’s everything
Glad I found your channel, as a lover of vintage, skincare, old bottles and jars this checked all the boxes. I'd be in the same conundrum, should I or shouldn't I, I'd probably go for the one without the label first then maybe test drive another with a label to see how it plays out. The first beauty product I ever used was my mom’s noxzema in elementary school. U couldn’t tell me I wasn’t fabulous
Yup, Noxema was one of my first beauty products when I was in elementary school. Cool and refreshing.
This made me laugh out loud! I’ll bet you indeed were fabulous !😄 I felt the same way when I snuck into my momma’s Estée Lauder Youth Dew bath oil.
I use good old Pear's soap to wash my face. Love it!
Is that similar to Dove soap?
@@kaylajames9334 nope. Pears is just glycerine and some herbs
@@jenniferhall7961 can you get it in America?
I wish they still sold the lemon scented ponds here in the USA.
I remember my grandma using Nivea creme. A creme as old as time.
Anyone still use Astral cream. I love it ❤
Lovely Laura, my nan always used oil of olay x
Recently found your channel and I absolutely love it! Thank you for sharing ❤️
Thanks Laura from Italy !!! I love your videos 💜
Olay used to be Oil of Ulay here in Europe. It changed to Olay about 30 years ago. You might try and source a bottle. The beautiful contents are the same as today.
Marilyn also used Ernest Laszlo skincare. He had an oil cleanser and giant soap bar, a double cleanse essentially. They still sell his products
I use the Rosebud Salve every night on my cuticles, my lips and my eyelids.
I think everyone has Vaseline in their household...LOVE!
I need to find that rose balm! That looks lovely :) I make my own witch hazel infused with home grown roses and put it in an antique bottle. It makes me feel so girly!
Ponds is akin to the make-up melt off stuff these days. They were the original. Use it to remove make-up then wash face.
A few years ago I found a small jergens lotion glass jar buried in my backyard with other glass stuff the only reason I knew it was jergens was because in the bottom it said jergens I even found a small brown glass jar and it said Vicks in the bottom.
Still love nivea.. The original variant.. 😍
I really enjoyed this video.
Loved this video so much! I would say use the jars without paper labels like the Olay jar and the Avon jar, but I don’t think refilling the jars and bottles with paper labels would work out so well, too much hassle and the paper labels could get ruined.
I love the original Oil of Olay scent! It reminds me of my mother. 🩷

This is wonderful ☺️ I love these products
Olay is nothing like it used to be sadly. I used my mothers oil of Ulay beauty fluid, it was very, very pale in colour and runny, but omg it made your skin so nice. The one out these days is awful even the fragrance free one is nothing compared to the original 😢
You could encase the vintage containers in a waterproof cover like plastic wrap to wash it out without damaging the packaging
My nana always swore by nivea so now that's what I use
The jars are nice keep them for yourself
I remember when Oil of Olay was called Oil of Ulay. My mum used to use it.
My Nan used to use the Nivea cream in the tin, container. She also used to use Atrixo cream and the original Alberto balsam shampoo and conditioner.. which smelled beautiful!
Ponds Cold Cream fragrance free is the BEST cleansing balm you can use to take off your makeup. I can rub it all over my eyes and it takes waterproof mascara off like nothing. I prefer fragrance free because most fragrance irritates my eyes and skin.
I remember the old oil of Olay, when it was pink!
Oil of Olay is really nice and Avon’s Rich Moisture cream is also very good. I also like Nivea. The fragrance of Nivea is devine . I have purchased most of these creams in the past.
Noxema broke me out and I gave it several chances. Thinking about trying the Jergens cream.
So fun I will look for these ✨💕
You could clean out old containers using rubbing alcohol to kill off germs without damaging the outside of the bottle.
what song are u putting in the background its relaxing
