Alas I will never t-shirt myself, as I wouldn't want to contribute to the amount of t-shirts in the world since there are billions 😅 But one day I would like to design silk scarves 😊
@@TheClosetHistorian That is an excellent point about T-shirts. Silk scarves are far more chic and on-brand anyway! I could also see this as a cheeky little needlepoint pin cushion; that tickles my particular sense of whimsy, as well. 😆 Hope the house hunting is going well!
Hello Bianca. THANK YOU. I proudly shout out that I finally finished my very first basic block! Bodice and skirt. Thanks to you and your wanderful instructions and showing so well how it's done. ❤❤❤ Now I'm unstoppable. Let the dartshifting begiiiinnnn. Muhahahaha. ... I guess I also need a "patterning table of doom" now😅.
Kitties do fine when moving; they are just children. You move, you stick them in the car, they squall and complain for a while, then they go to sleep. You get to the destination/house, and you unload the kitties into the house. They sniff around a while, they get used to it, and they're good. I have eight myself, and have moved multiple times with half of them. They will be fine when you do move. Thank you for the video; your creations are simply beautiful. Love seeing them! 🖤
The lace from the slip looked intentional so a panel with lace might look amazing to and you could choose your lace color. Though multiple colored slips to match your accessories would also be fun. The dress is beautiful and the insert is fun. Good job!
On my current set of sewing plans is the reissued DvF wrap dress. No I don't have an event to wear it to, but will be making the maxi version anyway, because I have some glorious viscose satin fabric with corals, starfish and sea creatures on a deep sky-blue.
Probably. It would be cool to see her use navy or something like that, that wouldn't be too far of a departure from what Bianca is comfortable with but a little different flavor.
I store my fabric folded on strips of cardboard and I only put it onto the card once it has been washed - this is the best way I have found to keep track of whether I have prewashed or not! 🤷🏼♀️

Beautiful design! Love the karate costume look and that line of metallics, is *chef’s kiss*. I wish they made a navy blue color way. Or a deep purple one …
Black is a color! In fact it is a very happy color. Was a lot of fun to watch this. I often just wear a lace slip with skirt splits or skirts comprised of rectangles sewn diagonally so the hem is a point. Though I'm not sure how that would work with this dress. At least its an easy fix. Thanks for sharing!
Brilliant as always! I just wanted to mention that a lot of the vintage Singer sewing machines came with a little wooden extension piece that slots into the hole to the left of your needle plate. They can be quite handy and are cheap to buy I think.

Somehow I could see you making this in black with a metallic green underskirt… bit like beetle wings. Or tulip sleeves shaped but as a skirt with underskirt … which you may be thinking of. In fact, with the hair length you have, a 1920s coccon style coat over the beetle style dress… hooded coat if course with long black gloves… the imagination does run a bit wild! But lovely…. and timely, as I have some linens and have been using a bodice block (thanks to you) and already drafted a wrap dress (thanks to you!) but just need to find time to sew them ☺️☺️👍🏻👍🏻 Eventually, soon-ish 🤞🏻 Happy sewing and looking forward to mini Look Book! 🥰☺️ Best, Lynne

Yeeey🎉 a wrap dress, I love those as a woman who apears to be a different size every day. Plus some days you want to look snatched while when it gets to hot you just want a little room to breath the gross humid air (I am a winter person who hates summer) but a black dress for summer is something I feel in my soul. It came out beautiful and I love the asymmetry. Also, fabric with glitter is just the best
