Fascinating to see the old photos of this historic city.
Are you talking to yourself again 😂😂
New area for me! Thanks 😊
No problem, hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for the comment, 🙏🏼
Thanks for that interesting tour round the county town.
Feel sure Lincoln's becoming deservedly more well known these days.
I think so too! Although no christmas market is a mistake maybe!
Ever since I first visited Lincoln a few years back, it's always had a special place in my heart. I can't visit as much as I once, but it's nice to see it.
Glad you enjoyed it, Has anything changed from your visit??
@@SamandCatsAdventures All the time. It's a case of "oh, that pubs closed" or "that's a new shop" etc. Also in Lincoln proper, I remember the old roads before they pedestrianised them. Whether it was good or not, the juries still out, lol :)
@cdylancarter9968 i remember the traffic jams when the train lines were down but as for the rest with the one way system im not so sure
@@SamandCatsAdventures oh yes, I remember those jams quite well, so I probably guess it was good. The only shame was such a small shopping centre and a walk to the top of the hill for the Cathedral. I took my mother who is 70 their, and we had to drive to the top and park and then park back down afterwards, only to realise their was a bus after all. It's good for tourism but the tourist board doesn't seem to promote Lincoln to it's full advantage like other cities and counties do, lol :)
@cdylancarter9968 agree totally, tourism seems to have gone and shifted to the university’s instead now. No more Christmas Market either, which was shockingly organised to the point of being dangerous anyway.
Sorry to correct you but Gowt's Bridge was over the drain not the high level avoiding line railway but good video mucker!
Thanks mate and thanks for your feedback 👍🏼
I used to live in Lincoln. I used to walk that steep hill daily and I have such fond and happy memories of the place.
I bet that kept you fit haha. Hope the video brought back those memories for you x
