  • Here is my reaction to BTS Accident, Fall and Faint. I was not prepared at all! For some reason I thought this was gonna be a cute compilation of them being clumsy and it turned out to be anything but. They need to be protected.

13:39 As I remember correctly J-hope got hit by a fog/smoke machine in the face, that's why he coughed. He couldn't breath properly for a few next minutes.
13:58 After the collaboration performance with Taemin (SHINEE and SuperM member) Jimin fainted. I'm not sure but I think it was the time when he didn't eat properly and he had been on a strict diet.
    Sorry for my english lol

      Your English is great!
Poor J-Hope. Struggling to breathe is the worst.
As for Jimin, that’s seriously scary. I really hope he is eating better nowadays.

One thing is that profesionnal dancers start young and stop young for a reason. And the hardest choreos (be it ballet or hip-hop, those that use a lot of foot, back and legs movements) you do, the sooner it will be. Even while being the most careful, your body grows tired, and some get more easilly tired than others. Injuries will happen, and often. Some will stay for a while, or for life or even prevent you from dancing (certains movements or at this level) after a while. They dance as their job, which amplify this effect a ton.
That's why they do workouts (cross-training) a lot and talks about eatings habit so much; to grow stronger and prevents big effects on their health. But sometimes you get carried away by the feel of a concert, and incidents happen often too. You can't prevent everything.
I saw a lot of documentories on dancers and read a lot of articles, but to resume, here's what one professional dancer said "it’s pretty rare that you get to perform and nothing hurts or nothing is sore. With dancers, there’s always something that we’re working through.”

I know! This got me legit worried about them. I don’t want them to wear themselves down. They are still so young.

Performing is already hard as it is but add to that all the dancing (hard dancing even their choreos are not amonsgt the easiest) they do back to back on stage, use of props that can go wrong, etc the life of an artist is especially hard on the mind and the body and many forget that.
Even if they do it all perfectly with no mistakes it still takes is toll on the body.
They often talk about it on their documentory. And while it's sad to see, it's important to keep in mind that it's their choice to want to improve always the stage and do all this. They say it's hard for them but that they still love to perform. All the hardwork they do during the year(s), all the practices, interviews, shows,... all this is for them to perform.
The respiratory devices can be scary to observe but after such heavy performances and the heat of the place it's way more often used than one may think.

I’m so happy that they get to do what they love, I just hope that they know their limits and don’t over exert themselves to the point of injury. I don’t want to see them seriously hurt, but I understand that performing as intensely as they do will inevitably cause some wear and tear on their bodies.

A lot of these clips are from Burn the Stage which is on YT (but only the first one is free) and also the other two releases Bring The Soul and now Break the Silence which is on Weverse. This account on Dailymotion has the first two but not the movie and the current one (will link after) but you can either watch on your own or if you react, don't do it on YT, you so will be blocked www.dailymotion.com/playlist/x6lkzg
Also I can't remember if I or someone else recommended for you to watch a special with the CEO of Bighit, this you will have to do on patreon or watch on your own (will get blocked on YT) www.dailymotion.com/video/x6y2b23 and small clip www.dailymotion.com/video/x72cc5k

Thanks for the recommendation. I will put it on my list, but I am quite behind on my request list so it might be some time before I get to it. Bear with me though, I’ll watch it as soon as I am able. :-)
