Human beings are naturally greedy and love quick fixes. Those who do not manage to suppress this propensity end up being robbers, drug dealers, thieves, crooks, prostitutes and many other ill means of getting wealth.
It would be interesting to note that most people would like to earn a lot with very little input. That is what scammers prey on and that is the main reason people engage in gambling and betting because we want to earn big with little as our input.
The idea of easy money and the excitement to win or lose over the outcome of the placed bet is what seems to have the people hooked to these addictive activities of lottery, gambling, and betting. My quick take on these is that despite this not being an outright sin, desist because they are addictive and a lot of people lose their money and only a few win. That is the only reason why they exist; otherwise, they would be non-existent if more people were winning than losing.
This seems to be an increasing sector and I have seen influencers endorsing different betting, gambling, and lottery companies. I have been approached to do the same, but I wouldn’t endorse something that is against what I stand for and I know how others have lost all they had.
A few days ago, news covered a young man who committed suicide after losing school fees given to him. One man lost capital for his business through betting. I know one other gentleman who depleted family savings through gambling. These are just three stories among many others that have led to a regrettable ending.
Now listen to this. There is a thin line between entertainment and addiction. Betting, gambling, and lottery are based on chance. Now remember that chance is a game to the wealthy, but chance is a source of hope to the poor. If you have so much wealth and you gamble K1000 on a bet or lottery, then it’s a game because even if you lose, it doesn’t matter. But if you gamble the same K1000 when it is all you have, then you subject your life to chance.
In other words, your life then becomes a game and if you need chance in order to live, then you will be destroyed. Life is not a game. Your life is a serious thing and not a game, so you don’t play with your life.
The takeaway from this topic is that there is no easy route to wealth. In fact, shortcuts are the longest routes to wealth.
Honestly when I started advocating for gambling addiction recovery in Zambia,I never knew this issue would be endorsed by someone like you Dumisani.I thought I was chasing a ghost but now I am 100 percent sure this problem has affected a lot of people in Zambia.Keep shining the light on critical issues affecting the Youths in Zambia.

Lol Magnate is not going to like this video 😂😂.. but I honestly know that he’s wise enough to not bet and what he does is showcase he’s life that he earned doing other things insinuating he got money through betting and he now earns more by being an affiliate marketer same as forex people….

No! A loan is not a quick fixer! Unless if you use a loan or debt in buying reliability or you sponsor a wedding ceremonies, that one is called a bad debt and it can cost your life if not handled properly, but use a loan as a leverage.

Before anyone gets a loan it is very important that they learn discipline… getting a loan to pay for another loan is like digging a hole to get out of a hole…
You’re not advised to start a business with borrowed money but you’re allowed to boost your business with borrowed money provided it’s successful in the first place and getting thst loan had 70% chance of making it back.. im not a financial advisor however 😊
