Interestingly enough, our lists are very similar but also very different. I’ve tried hound blaze but find three thousand worlds more reliable. My focus is on removing my opponent’s board and setting up 10 cost kuzan, luffy, mansherry, and double sabo. If you can establish this into an open board you basically beat every meta deck not running blue. Blocking with sabo only to recover him with mansherry every turn makes it almost impossible for your opponent to out your board. I also try to make sure the cards I put on the bottom of the deck alternate removal every 3 cards so once I cycle the deck I have removal every turn. Oddly enough I don’t run kyros because he is just too low impact for my strategy. I wonder why you run tashigi instead of one legged toy soldier which is searchable and can use its effect if played off of Rebecca while costing less don than tashigi from hand.
Interesting feedback. I tried the toy soldier but I preferred Tashigi because it can be used as an alt attacker in a pinch and can be played off of 4-cost Rebecca for free. The protection effect of Kyros is just to important for me to pass up when we have a leader that can't attack. Yes he's susceptible to bottom decking, but so is almost everything else in the game. I reeeeeally don't like 10 cost Kuzan. There are very few situations in which he can be played safely and he oftentimes ends up trashed anyway because he's not searchable off the leader, not searchable off 1-cost Rebecca, and can't be added back off Mansherry/4-cost Rebecca. All in all the deck is very flexible in how it can be built and played. My build may not be the absolute most optimal (as no build ever is) but I have found a happy middle ground with what I built. It's consistent and reliable. Thanks for the feedback!
wow our lists are quite different (when it comes to ratios and stuff). I like to play less trueno bastardo and more three thousand worlds during this format since black is very popular. Lots of sabos I cannot KO so bottom decking is nice. I'm gonna have to try hound blaze in the deck for sure to help with attacking too. They should've made the leader able to attack!
What I love about the One PIECE TCG is just how varied builds can be! And I agree I REALLY wish the leader could attack. The deck might be broken at that point though lol. I have definitely considered 3 thousand worlds. But for Borsolino and other popular hard to remove 4 costs, Tashigi/Orlumbus +Hound blaze not only removes those threats but also buffs one of your characters. I just wish it was searchable. 3 thousand worlds is still a strong option nonetheless.
@@natebeal18 I disagree but not entirely. Like I don't think she would be banned or tier zero but I think she might have actually been what people thought she was gonna be. Because I remember people saying she would be in tier 1 for sure. That she just wins against red and was going to fix the format, and that was like, a super overestimation. I digress. She cannot attack, which makes sense for her character. So oh well 😁 almost kyros time
Surprised that you don’t use Toy Soldier 2k. You also don’t play many characters that are good with Rebecca’s effect like Hina or Koby. I like the hound blaze spice though.
Thanks for the comment. As I mentioned in a different comment, I tried the toy solider and wasn't feeling it. Mostly because this deck really needs to stick attackers. I've found that I prefer the Tashigi as a 2k counter since it can be played off the Rebecca and added back off Mansherry. I've considered Hina but her not being a counter is a huge turnoff. She's a lot better in Sakazuki since she is searchable. Hound blaze is busted. That's all I gotta say on that lol.
@@gamergage95 you can't activate tashigi's effect while playing off rebecca so I don't think I'd use it much unless you're just grabbing it to hand for more counter in hand. I want to try Riku Doldo as well. Just something to help protect characters or give Kyros a free 7k swing.
True. You can't use Tashigi's effect when its played off Rebecca. However you are still cheating out a character and developing board presence. It also acts as a pseudo blocker because your opponent will be inclined to take it out. If they choose to ignore it you can use the active main effect on the following turn and use trueno, kyros, and hound blaze will end their day. I think there is merit to Toy Soldier, I just personally haven't enjoyed it myself. I highly recommend Riku as well. Very underrated card.
For sure! Those cards are also very viable. If you are looking to play this variant in a tournament setting I'd highly consider swapping certain cards to make way for those. The only thing I will add is that I prefer to play where I am maximizing my leader ability as much as possible. I already play some cards that are non-Dressrosa. Adding even more cards that aren't searchable off the leader ability may not always be optimal. Especially since that "free draw" every turn helps make up for the lack of leader attack. Once you start to add cards like Moria and Hina, it becomes less of a Dressroas build. At the end of the day, Moria and Hina are just better options in Sakazuki and Gecko Moria.
There are two reasons I clicked on this video

She would be tier 0 and banned if she could attack.

You really should be running Gecko Moria and Hina. You can combo with rebecca and leo to KO a 5 cost or with orlumbus, a 9 cost.

idk one piece had a tcg, its not weiss schwarz right?
It is not Weiss Schwarz! One Piece has its own dedicated TCG. Its about a year old now and going strong :)
