I tested it. The issue is that most of the time my opponent can just normal summon and attack over it fairly easily due to its mediocre Stats (thats if they even care about needing to use their spells which can be deck dependent). Additionally, it's also not level 4 so I can't use it as material to make bahamut Shark. Since it cant special summon itself, more oftentimes than not it ends up being a brick. I'd rather go for Raiho or Georgius off of Lanceas effect anyway.

LOL the deck is so broken you can get away without playing it. But if I were to cut the Sanjis, I would play 2 copies of Gravity blade in its place 100%

I've used more events but they just end up being bricky. Honestly the deck feels great for me. Aside from changing around some ratios of cards I wouldn't change much.

I appreciate the feedback, but my list isn't meant to me the ultra sweaty competitive build. It's meant to me a budget casual build that's easy to learn and play with friends and family. Many of the cards that make the deck super competitive are about to rotate anyway. This is very much a channel for the more casual player or the newer player to help learn how to play. If you are looking for more competitive builds, then there are plenty of other top players that provide that type of content. Thanks for watching!

@gamergage510 That's a fair point . I'm not trying to hate on you or anything if that's how I came across. Also if you want to make this deck even more budget, you can buy the zard league deck for most of your cards!

I appreciate the feedback. However I explain my reasoning for not playing/choosing to play some of the cards that you mentioned. This is very much an XYZ oriented build (as you identified) and swapping out many of the extra deck cards to play more links takes away from the spirit of the deck. Again, nothing wrong with playing a version like that, but PK is incredibly flexible. It isn't meta anyway, so the "right build" is entirely personal preference.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions! I am aware that this deck can be played in a myriad of different ways. I think that mixing different engines can introduce different lines and play styles. However, depending on the type of engines you mix, it can take away from the identity of the deck. If I find another engine or tech that I find fun that still allows me to play most of the main cards from the archetype itself, I will definitely give it a try and provide an updated deck profile. Otherwise, this was never meant to be a hyper competitive version of the deck. Just something fun if someone wanted to try if you wanted to go the pure route.

Fenrir is cool but requires too much setup since you need to banish 2 monsters to get him out. Not the most consistent option. But if you so successfully get that attack off he is well worth it.

@ I dont actually think an official TCG "Dandylion" token exists. I think the OCG has one but you would have to get it on ebay and its quite pricey. I personally have custom made ones and would recommend either using other generic token cards or getting customs. The adventure cards have other utility (getting you to an omninegate). Yes you can use enchantress to use it to get into Cherubini in a pinch but that is not the main function. Terrortop produces non-dark bodies which, while helpful toward getting into Cherubini, does not help get into Rusty Bardiche and doesnt do much else. If I were to increase the deck count I would consider adding terrortop I just haven't needed it.

I personally don't play them but they are an acceptable option. They don't really do much for the PK gameplan other than provide bodies.

Thanks for the suggestions. If there's anything I've learned playing Ice Barrier is that there are many ways to build the deck. 2 key things I want to briefly mention regard playing swap and cutting Speaker. Swap, while it does count as an additional water which is great for the main deck Icejade, allows no follow up if the normal is stopped. Foolish is more versatile because while it isnt a water in hand (which can be a downside) it doesn't necessarily need to just send Mirror mage (which is the only swap target). If you already have access to mirror mage, and you have Georgius for example, you can use the foolish to send Revealer instead. Then you can normal mirror mage, special Georgius and use Georgius to special Revealer to get the engine online. If your hand is swap and Georgius, and swap gets hit the turn ends. Speaker, in a pure build, is mandatory as a 3 of in my opinion. Not only does it help facilitate bahamut plays, but it also increases the number of Ice barrier names to turn on Georgius special summon ability. Having Georgius online as much as possible is to valuable to sacrifice by cutting Speaker down. You want a healthy number of Ice barrier names, and a healthy number of water monsters to get the deck flowing (no pun intended). At the end of the day, the ratio is very much up for debate and is entirely player preference.

@ you said no lies there!!! Feels amazing opening revealer + mage and speaker. I guess my only fear is opening double speaker raiho and non engine. Hurts so bad and it has happened to me at key moments in tournaments 😭 ill do some more experimentation and get back to you. Happy dueling!

The deck is fairly affordable. If you already have the handtraps, the core shouldn't be more than 40-50 at the lowest rarity.

Since this is a rogue deck I am personally trying to avoid putting those cards in the deck since they are expensive. However, they are certainly solid additions to this deck of you have them!

I am happy to hear you are a fan of this format! I really appreciate the deck diversity. I also enjoy being able to play traditional traps. Even though I still feature hand trapss in my profile, they are by no means mandatory in every strategy. Lets hope alternate formats continue to catch on!

Runick is arguably the more competitive version. However, I am not a fan of the Runick cards and find the pure build more fun to play.
