Just discovered your channel Sir. Im 43 and always wanted to learn martial arts but am not flexible at all and never knew where to start stretching and strength training. I am looking forward to more of your videos.
As a martial artists myself, I have to say I am incredibly impressed. I trained for several years, but never felt like I deserved my black belt in any form of martial arts that I studied. This is why. Your Kema or control as some people call it is unbelievable. You’re doing all this tai chi style, which is incredibly hard. I completely understand how you are strengthening all those muscles! You are a beast man! Keep up the good work and Lord God, I hope I don’t run into you in a back alley lol
Thanks for expressing the matter. I discovered that the stronger the higher about 32 years ago, but obviously I didn't have a UA-cam channel... Keep it up!
I really like how you encourage innovation I have been training in Jeet Kune Do consistently for over 16 years and I am innovating that in itself using different techniques and things that others do not so I think you and I can relate in that and I think that you and I will be very successful in our training and our teachings since we are actually encouraging innovation and newer ways😊
You make a seminal point about the resistance training. I keep getting into a loop about whether or not to skip resistance training and just double down on stretching and flexibility but then I seem to start loosing muscle mass and weight starts to come back on. Look at Bruce Lee he always seems to incorporate specifically designed resistance routine to augment the rest of his taining.
Hey bro imma have to stop sleeping on your kick videos the information you provide is golden. But i want to kick not just to flex that I can kick high but I want ankle strength. Thanks 🙏
Actually it’s originally called a shemaugh, it came about 3100BC in Mesopotamia and cultural appropriated by islamic arabs just to cover their faces while the set out to reuqnoc the world as they are trying to do again, that’s was why the sedasurc had started in the first place. And before islam it was called israel not palestine. No such place.
@The.Dude.Abides75 Wasn't it js called "Canaan" before that? The canaanites lived there before the Bani Israel came there, who, by the way, are just descendants of the man named Israel and has no connections to the Europeans living there right now. Also, culturally appropriated? That's literally just how cultures work. They change from time to time and merge with other cultures.
And you are right about training the smaller muscles but you forgot about one very important one which is going to be the main structure of getting yourself to kick higher and important in overall health and flexibility and Mobility and that is your iliopsoas
Kicking the bag will help increase blood flow to your legs. However, they don't quite develop the necessary strength needed for the results you want. Example: Perform a quick side kick without a bag or resistance and see how high you kicked. Then try holding your leg in a side kick position for 3 seconds or more. Chances are your quick kick was much higher than you stable kick. You will get much better results with controlled kicks. You're body is very smart and will protect itself from harm. When you do controlled kick is telling your body that you have the strength to kick high. This will also reduce injury. Good luck with your journey.
And you should not do static stretching before training it will fatigue your muscles and can possibly tear small muscle fibers you should only do dynamic type stretching in your Mobility exercises that is thoroughly going to warm you up and not a static hold
Brother Spence, hope this comments finds you in goof health. Does this help with kicking power 🔋 as well ? If not, please 🙏 make a video for kicking power and speed
Doing high kicks from a tactical perspective is not really recommended. Granted, if you have the appropriate speed and skill they can be very devastating when they connect but it's a very high risk technique and it may not always grant a high reward. This is why traditional martial arts don't focus on kicks that go much higher than belt level. High kicks may be good for show but it's not wise to go into an actual fight doing them...
mówisz że mój trening jest przestarzały po czym opisujesz mój trening jako alternatywę. mówisz żebym nie robił tych rzeczy których nie robię a zamiast tego mówisz oczywiste rzeczy które robię od dawna.🤨.
Do you utilize weights for your martial arts training?
Oh yes
So it doesn't just require flexibilities, it also require strength?
yes
This video was simply EPIC !! Merry Christmas amigo !
@@BuildingPhysiques not so much but I'm going to start I do tkd and my legs are like 15kg so even with no weight I feel burn 😅

His other stretching vids include stretches the involve the I/p
You should do a smaller muscle focus workout video
Good idea, I'll try to make one soon 🙏🏽
I keep giving up and falling behind. I need to, no I'm going to keep trying
You got this 💪🏽
Amazing
Appreciate it 🙏🏽
@@BuildingPhysiques let me spar with you
Is kicking a bag gonna help in anyway.. or simple controlled kicks like you said better overall?
Kicking the bag will help increase blood flow to your legs. However, they don't quite develop the necessary strength needed for the results you want. Good luck with your journey.
The simple controlled kicks will work better. Doing slow and controlled kicks with build immense strength. Isometric holds as well.
And you should not do static stretching before training it will fatigue your muscles and can possibly tear small muscle fibers you should only do dynamic type stretching in your Mobility exercises that is thoroughly going to warm you up and not a static hold
You need both split for that. Otherwise forget about it.
Brother Spence, hope this comments finds you in goof health.

Thank you brother. It will help to degree with kicking power. But I can make a separate video for that.
@BuildingPhysiques that'd be dope, stay blessed 💪
I gotta spar with Spence one day

Spence Crosby! You should learn muaythai to improve your kicks.

Delicious.
Except for competition you shouldn't use high kicks.
I agree for the most part however.
Kicking are overrated
Only for looking cool, glamour and flashy
They are less effective in fight
this is the second dumbest comment i've seen aswell
@LunaticStruggler nobody throw kick without high risk in street fight
Kicking with shoes on and uneven surface
kicking high is for movies and young people.
that's gotta be the dumbest thing i've heard lmao
