I've always liked mid sixties furniture too and 20 odd years ago, when lots of people were getting rid of it, we furnished our bedroom with Schreiber - wardrobe and dressing table unit, separate chest of drawers and bedside cabinets. They were all in excellent condition and very cheap.
OOh Schreiber expensive now, its all coming back round in fashion. 😍😍

Cheryl, you need time for yourself, we will still be here cheering you on, Mike is looking well and hope he is recovering more each day. I’m still having problems with my house move, I’ll just say it’s hanging by a thread, it’s out of my hands I can’t do anything so just have to wait. Your certainly getting on with things but remember Rome was not built in a day, hugs to you all ❤

Hi Cheryl, I wouldn’t worry about Christmas if I were you, it’s just one day. Concentrate on yourselves, eat what you fancy, it doesn’t have to be “Christmasy”. It’s good to see Mike looking a bit better, take care both of you. p.s. I love the bedside tables, they’re great xx

Cheryl, do whatever is easiest for yourself for Christmas, have you thought about a slow cooker, I put all my meat in there, pork,gammon, chicken, beef, it cooks to perfection,just whack it in and 5/6 hours later job done. Glad to see Mike up and about, hope his appetite returns soon.x
Hi Elaine, I've heard a lot about slow cookers, It may be on my birthday list for Mike 😍 His appetite returned yesterday, huge relief, hes enjoying his food again xxx
Hi Cheryl, your getting on so well and great to see Mike looking so well. Christmas is one day and Im sure whatever ou do will be just fine. I used to stress over it so badly but now I just do it at my pace and enjoy what Chrismas is, Dinner !, well its just a roast dinner and I make it special but dont get too worked up about it . Sending lots of well wishes to Mike and take care of yourself BTW, love the dea of silly gifts xx

Cheryl others have said to ignore Christmas and I agree you should take time for Mike and yourself - self care is really important. Hope Mike is beginning to feel better , I suspect he is desperate to get back to working on the house. Love to you all❤❤.
Hi Norma, yes he is now very much on the mend and keeps wandering around shuffling and looking at his tools, I have told him off a couple of times 😂 ❤️❤️
Well done Cheryl , so glad Mike is making progress, you will get there . I wouldn’t bother about Christmas if I was you , look after each other that’s all that matters . brilliant idea with the casserole it will be delicious , one pot too , less washing up enjoy .

Hi Cheryl and Mike. I’m a recent sub and am in awe of what you’re both dealing with at the moment; you are amazing people. How about a venison stew for Xmas? It’s like a more tender, richer version of beef and you can get it easily from supermarkets these days. ❤🎄
Hi Jacqui, ooh years ago Mike did a venison stew with mash and it was to die for. Saw some in Morrisons. I do love rich food but Mike is at the moment only able to handle bland meals. Fab idea for new year though as its my birthday! Yom! 😍❤️
Hi Cheryl you're an amazing lady. Just take it steady doing your house. Nice to see Mike up and about. You're a lovely couple and willow is a lucky dog to get such a lovely new collar. I'm sure your house will be fabulous when finished.

I can really feel for you as we moved house on the 3rd December and are wading our way through never ending boxes and paper, we have also downsized so like you having to find homes for things but havnt had your added challenge of Mike's operation, wish him and you all the very best xx

@cheryllifeat50 thankyou Cheryl ❤️ we have settled in nicely going to do one room at a time as and when we are on with the loft space first it's got heating and electric up there just needed decorating and new carpet etc it's for our son it's big enough for him to have a bedroom at one end and then living chilled bit at other and in time put a shower room aswel feel so lucky to be able to do this for him and then I can have the spare bedroom back and then on to the rest it just needs decorating really nothing major but excited to get on with it not rushing though so less stress look forward to your next catch up Cheryl ❤️❤️😘

Get the Royal Mail app, postman will pick up your parcels from your home and you can even get him to bring the labels! Easy peasy.

Hi Cheryl don’t bother with Christmas cards it’s Ridiculous!! Give it a miss this year . You have so much on your plate. On the cooking front I would go to Marks and Spencer and get some nice food ! I do and a not trying to get a new home sorted . Lovely vlog today ❤
Hi Alison, I'm loving the word ridiculous! 😂 that word is keeping me sane 😬😂 Oh I miss M&S! It was on my doorstep in Scarborough. Turkey mince made into lasagne. You can do that in advance as it tastes better after it's been kept awhile. You can eat it warm or cold.

Beef Stroganof or chicken in white wine and cream sauce would be lovely for Christmas dinner.

Think you should have had a slow cooker. You can add evrything & let it cook itself.

I wouldnt use post office for all those parcels! Can someone collect them for you until M is driving again.?
Good to see him about. Its real life with the post-op issues that most people dont even consider. I knew it would happen but you were upbeat. Hopefully M will be fixed soon!
Thanks Linda, he is well on the mend now, had a little walk this morning. I do have to keep eye on him though because I'll catch him trying to do something he shouldn't which stresses me out. 🫤 He's not someone who does as they are told so there may be the odd telling off he gets but overall he's doing well 😁❤️

Hiya, It might be bacon butties at this rate 😂😂 Bit of tinned tomato to make it gourmet 😁 Heck I have wine! will always have wine 😂❤️ oooh I love a dance a jiggy, Mike cringes but I just gotta sing dem hips about sometimes 😂 Mike has taken to floating about, bit freaky, he just floats by in his dressing gown. 😬😬😬 I poke him every now and then, make sure hes not possessed. 😂😂❤️❤️❤️
Cheryl, if I were in your shoes Christmas would be the last thing to concern me. Those closest to you should understand and not expect anything from you this year. Not sure what you mean when you say you can’t cook? does that mean Mike usually does it. Can you not go to family for your Christmas lunch (if they live close)

Hi Barbara, Mike was the cook for a long time till his tremor got really bad and it became unsafe so I took over. I can cook but its not brilliant. We are aiming for a quiet Christmas day as Mike takes a lot of rests and naps and he would be uncomfortable at anyone elses house. I'm looking forward to my new kitchen and learning some good recipes (it might get messy! 😂) xxxx
