How genomic testing works

Genomic testing is a new technique that involves sequencing a person’s genome to give them information about their health. Information from genomic testing is already being used to diagnose rare inherited diseases, guide cancer therapy, and provide information about a person’s risk of developing disease or likely response to medications.
