Quick question: do you think a suet cake holder would work as an orchid mount? It's essentially a narrow cage, similar to those you made from plastic mesh. I recently purchased the dendrobium jenkinsii. It came mounted on a cedar board, with some moss that frankly looks dyed dark green. I'd like to unmount it and use a suet cake holder. Your thoughts?
People need to understand that growers have all sorts of environments. Humidity, air movement, light and water are critical. You can't grow some orchids in a apartment with stuffy air, air conditioning in a summer with no light in a winter, and awful growing conditions. Some orchids need an greenhouse no matter where they are located geographically. Know what your are growing. You will save yourself $$$$ and aggravation.
Cute little dendrobium
It looks like a Bulbophilum... Thank you for sharing & happy growing.
Hi Brad, that Den is now named - Dendrobium Ueang Phueng (Dendrobium jenkinsii x Dendrobium lindleyi)
Very beauteful dendrobium ! Thanks. 🌾❤️
I have that one too... 🌻👍
That’s funny, I purchased one of these 3 days ago, so cute thanks Brad!
Love that Dendrobium; lovely little flowers. Do you have a video on how to mount orchids on a cork-board? I can't seem to find one?
That's a very pretty flower. It's too bad the flowers don't last longer.
