They are so genuine and caring. This was my daughter’s favourite song. At a concert when they heard she had died they sang this for her (triplet) sisters.❤️
Their whole family is musical, and they grew up helping their older sister, Rebecca St. James, a Christian artist back in the 90s, while she was on tour. They would lug around equipment, set up the stage, play instruments, and then they grew up and went out on their own. I've seen them live a few times, they have the most incredible, insane concerts!!
The couple (car crash guy, Joel) are actually married. These brothers, Joel and Luke (Luke has the curly hair), family are all involved in their stuff, pretty much 😂. But their music videos are usually directed by their brother, and their lighting is also done by their brother. Relate is an amazing song live or MV. But any of their music is amazing and they tend to lean heavily percussive. Which is why Drummer boy live is insanely good.
Drummer Boy was my intro to K&C…I think it was a Country Christmas, a few years ago. It was absolutely mind blowing!!! Their backstory is fascinating as well…I think they are originally from Australia, I could be wrong, but they are two of a large family.

This song came to me when I turned 14 (21 now) and I was diagnosed with 2 brain tumors and a tumor in my stomach and as a 14 year old I was scared. I had faith but I came from a non religious household. And this song was my inspiration to keep fighting

The messages they put out into the world are ones that everyone needs to hear and they do it masterfully....makes people not feel like "church" is being shoved in their face. I have followed these guys since they came on the scene many years ago and they just do it better and better as time goes. Their concerts are amazing. Oh btw they are brothers, Luke and Joel and they are Australian, but have lived in the states since they were young. I have seen For King & Country numerous times in concert (like 4 or 5 maybe?). They are very, very good live. Their older sister is Rebecca St. James, who was a popular Contemporary Christian artist back in the 90s. I loved her too and saw her in concert as well. These guys and TobyMac are my ult Christian artists (I've seen TobyMac about 10 times...lol).
Their names are Joel and Luke Smallbone. The woman in the video who plays the deceased wife is Joel's in-real-life wife, Moriah. She is also a Christian artist. Joel is the older of the two brothers in the band, but they have another brother (Ben) who is a director. He directed this MV, in fact, as well as a movie that Joel starrted in about human trafficking called "Priceless." I wouldn't be suprrised if he has directed other MVs for them as well. The entire Smallbone family moved to the US from Australia in 1991 (Joel was 13, Joel was 7 and Luke was two years younger), and most (if not all) of the family members live in the Nashville area now. There are a total of 7 siblings in the Smallbone family, and the family went through a lot of hardships after moving to the US since the job that their dad moved to Nashville for ended up letting him go.

Seeing them li e is o. My bucket list. I had tickets to see them in Greensboro NC but was hospitalized withe COVID and did not get to go.
