Man, totally appreciate the tutorial. I have a "new to me" 97 F-450 and trying give her a much needed TLC. Seeing your video gave me the perspective to tackle this brake project. Thank you!
Lol! Great ending comments not a prank video, nice work friend and good video, I just bought that same exact truck 1997 7.3 turbo diesel longbed flatbed dually, keep doing vids on this truck buddy if you can ! Thanks
I really do appreciate this video, love how you kept it funny work sarcasm. I thought when you threw the lug nuts, then it'd fast forward to actually being in there but I still laughed. I've searched high and low for this procedure for this specific setup, 2wd.
"Every single day has just gotta be shit." I LOVE this guy! Thanks for the super helpful video. My go to expression is, "Why does every single thing I touch have to turn into a gigantic pain in my ass?!"
Fun ford fact, there was no super duty in 1997 it was a regular f250 in the new body style or an f250hd like this one featured. I also owm a 97 f250hd. Absolute monster of a truck. Then the super duty came out in the all new body style, new suspension design, intercooled, new everything pretty much. All new truck.
- You should always put Wood between Jack and Truck. Never Steel on Steel. Good Chance Jack will kick out. - Always put Tire and Rim you took off. Under the Truck as extra Safety.
Thanks for this video. I have a truck like this, which I am about to work on. I didn't know that there's a lot of work, and I changed $250 Canadian to replace the break rotor. And is it only one break pad that this have.
Hey followed this video but my trucks brakes are dragging even though it’s getting fluid never have done brakes with this kind of caliper before any help would be great
have you or anyone else you know done anything on the axle part itself for the steering before. these axles dont look like a normal balljoint to me and was wondering how you change that part thanks.
Love the pessimism at the end of the video, but this video IS helpful for our farm truck. Whyd u bleed the brake line at the end? Did you have to disconnect caliper?

Thanks for the video. This will help me with putting brakes on my 1991 Super Duty.
I just bought a 91 f super duty last week. Its got a bad rear end so I'm gonna do a video on replacing the rear gears.
If the Ford OEM rotor is good, just replace the bearings and seals and never get rid of that OEM part for an aftermarket Chinese-made rotor.
I'm in the process of changing mine on a 97 f-350 but it's 4x4 and every video I've come across non all have manual hubs. So I've been going in blind.

I vacuum out the fluid from the master cylinder and replace it, then pull the new fluid to the calipers. I replace brake fluid often.
I can’t seem to find a video on rear break replacement on a dually
Thanks
Any way you can send me a picture of the rear left break assmbly i have a loose e brake wire and cant figure out where is it
Do you have any part numbers sir
Funny guy.............thanks
Should those pins that hold the caliper be greased?
I never have because they are chrome plated. I feel like it offers enough slip.
@@Satatic yeah I think calipers don't really slide either
