Moments like this, the brother eye incident, the Tower of Babel plans, The War Game plans... Bruce’s plan tend to fail because they’re so centered around him being the critical piece. He doesn’t account for others and just assumes that they can take care of themselves because he is so used to Gotham warfare.
I'm on edge about Terra. Like anyone versed in DC lore knows its common knowledge that Terra will always be the traitor. But I'm nervous about her endgame. In the comics, Terra was an irredeemable sociopath unhealthily in love with Slade. In TeenTitans she was portrayed in a more sympathetic villain light. Judas contract (animated) also also kinda went that route. My two concerns for Young Justice Terra are : *1*. From what we can tell, Terra has developed Stockholm Syndrome towards Slade almost like a battered wife. So is she gonna become fully devoted to Slade or will she leave him? *2*. Going by past history Terra dies in almost all the media. So are they gonna kill off Terra in this as well?

Maybe someone is critically wounded or killed, perhaps her brother in trying to bring her back to the good or in fighting Slade which makes her turn on the light.

DC has acknowledged in the past that the whole Deathstroke/Terra thing was a huge mistake, especially for the character of Deathstroke. They’ll definitely be going down that route rather than a physical relationship. Hopefully though they introduce Ravager/Rose Wilson into the fold.
Son Goten I’d be happy for any of his kids, even if they wanna go with Grant and kill him off for the Judas Contract. Joey and Rose have the most development though and I’d love to see any of them.
Here's the thing, Slade doesn't give a flip about Terra. Never did. Terra is a tool for him to use. What he is doing is classic behavior for an abuser and the fact that she is going through adolescence makes her all the more easy to manipulate. First he saves Terra from a horrible experience. In that moment he has established himself as a beacon, a safety figure for the young and terrified child. Then He claims he will train Terra so that No one will ever be able to kidnap her and make her go through that again. Telling her repeatedly that her awful experience only happened because she was weak and helpless, and that the training is for her own benefit. Mentally conditioning her to listen him more willingly. During training he solidifies her attachment to him by repeatedly telling her that there is no one who she can trust or depend on but herself and Slade through brutal training and punishment, but then he offers her sweet words and praise like a honey trap making her accept only him in her heart. Punishment then praise, punishment then praise, rinse and repeat on an impressionable girl in her early teens and you got yourself a loyal and devoted slave who follows without question because in her mind she has been conditioned to believe that Slade is the only one who truly cares for her and that everyone is out to get her.
Yeah, right...THAT‘S the worst of all...NOT! It‘s only bad because Black Lightning already has trust issues but that what she told in the pit is WAY worse than whatever relationship trouble Black Lightning might have.

She was a completely murderous psychopath. But in the cartoon adaptations, they seem to want to give her a possible shot at redemption by having her turn on him to save the team.
Worst (or best?) part is, Batman's little team being exposed gave her a legitimate reason to not trust heroes, that Slade was right all along. I see this Terra as a mix of the Teen Titans and Judas Contract versions.
The hint that Dr Jace was evil all along was her attitude. She never apologized for experimenting on the children. If she was a good guy she would have fallen to her knees and beg them for forgiveness. She lacked the humility that comes from a genuine apology.

The doc revealing herself to be crazy, was an amazing moment which went nowhere. The people who we were supposed to look up to as role models, revealed themselves to be terrible people who are even worse than the bad guys and for the rest of the season, this plot point never got brought up again, instead we go that awful scene of Geo-force killing and becoming king.

True, but Terra's point is not, that villains in general are trustworthy, but that Slade is. She already felt betrayed by her brother/family and expected at least the HEROES to be good, but now she believes that only SLADE is worthy of her trust, since he did not disappoint her. (yet)
Top 3 episodes of this season just got the attention to detail in this episode. The emotions and how all of the characters interact with each other( Megaan and Connor arguing telepathically, Victor and Forager eating popcorn watching everything happen. Lighting and Tara take the cake for this episode for me.
I enjoy this Tara/Deathstroker dynamic more. It feels... less one sided. Like theres some part of Slade that cares for Tara but less of a lover and more of as a daughter
And if the mission fails, everyone loses. Heroism is sacrifice. If a hero won't risk everything to stop their enemies from doing more harm, they need to leave the life behind.
that was a heck of an episode, secrets and deception revealed right before my own eyes on both heroes and villains sides and last but not least there are two granny goodness confirming Metron's encrypted answer to Jefferson's question about granny goodness two episodes ago.
I didn't cry but this episode emotionally hurt so bad. Jace is a mad scientist/straight up insane, poor Jefferson betrayed 2x and walks away, Brion betrayed 2x and rages with Tara's possible 3x betrayal he will lose it. Every iteration of Terra in animation ends sorrowful, just once in the show called Young Justice I want her to live through it and be free/get help from her abuse. Too many feelz man it hurts
Im Hoping Violet can be saved some how. I also think Deathstroke has a soft spot for Terra like a daughter and he will end up betraying the light or doesnt serve the light but The Shadows and Batman Inc needs will co inside and we get some light and OS team up.

I just realised, and I was slow to realize this, that this is the same Dr. Jace from Black Lightning, the Arrowverse show. And what's crazy cool is that there is a Geo Force in Black Lightning, but his name's been changed to Brandon, and his mother died from experiments conducted on her in Markovia then as a result of that he got powers. Again, this is all from the Black Lightning series. And Jefferson in YJ is sleeping with Dr. Jace, but Lynn, his wife in Black Lightining hates Jace 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I actually thought that the doctor actually liked the team, I did not expect her to betray them. I mean she seemed sketchy when she was taking Violet’s hair off the brush. What really made me mad was when she just seduced Jeff so that they can trust her, I can’t remember. I'll be 100, I was getting red flags about the doctor not long after she was introduced. She would do and say things that felt... destructive, needlessly so, to a degree that belied incompetance or hostile action.

Vertigo is also a Light lieutenant thanks to Savage as both of them are close colleagues. So Helga and Vertigo are both lieutenants when it comes to running Metahuman operations on Earth.

I swear Dr. Jace ALMOST had me convinced that she was innocent and only trying to help them up until I saw that she was talking to Ultra-Humanite of the light this whole time and now after hearing all THIS from her it's pretty clear now that Helga really is nothing but a crazy mad scientist witch, furthermore Tara has now put her trust back in Deathstroke because of the lies and betrayals she's heard among the heroes and all because of BATDICK!!! They better find a way to fix this asap in the next episode.

I should’ve realize Dr. Jace was a villain this whole time because there’s a dr Jace on the Black Lightning series on the CW that experiment on kids to awaken the Meta Gene 🧬 but the only difference between young justice and the black Lightning series is that (there is about to be some major spoilers for the people who haven’t seen season 2 of Black Lightning so read this at your own risk)
she doesn’t care if they survive or not as long she gets results she’s looking for you be just another test subject for her to study she even intentionally gave a cure to stable the Meta-Genes (from Black Lightning wife Lynn Stewart research) to a bunch of pod kids knowing half will live and the other half would die she is also wanted in Markovia for promising there government that she can provide them an army of Meta-Humans she is by definition of a Mad Scientist

6:04 Speak for yourself. Of all the villains in this show, Jace just sickens me. How she seduced Jeff, lied to Violet that she was dying, and viewed individual children as her own merely because she gave them powers.
The doc revealing herself to be crazy, was an amazing moment which went nowhere. The people who we were supposed to look up to as role models, revealed themselves to be terrible people who are even worse than the bad guys and for the rest of the season, this plot point never got brought up again, instead we go that awful scene of Geo-force killing and becoming king.
Poor Jeff. He copped it rough. Divorced, superhero PTSD and, an unwilling subject of a " skillful plan ". Not to mention that his shock therapy downtime with that " good doctor " was total bullcrap.

Top 3 episodes of this season just got the attention to detail in this episode. The emotions and how all of the characters interact with each other( Megaan and Connor arguing telepathically, Victor and Forager eating popcorn watching everything happen. Lighting and Tara take the cake for this episode for me.

I didn't cry but this episode emotionally hurt so bad. Jace is a mad scientist/straight up insane, poor Jefferson betrayed 2x and walks away, Brion betrayed 2x and rages with Tara's possible 3x betrayal he will lose it. Every iteration of Terra in animation ends sorrowful, just once in the show called Young Justice I want her to live through it and be free/get help from her abuse. Too many feelz man it hurts

I just realised, and I was slow to realize this, that this is the same Dr. Jace from Black Lightning, the Arrowverse show. And what's crazy cool is that there is a Geo Force in Black Lightning, but his name's been changed to Brandon, and his mother died from experiments conducted on her in Markovia then as a result of that he got powers. Again, this is all from the Black Lightning series. And Jefferson in YJ is sleeping with Dr. Jace, but Lynn, his wife in Black Lightining hates Jace 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

What really made me mad was when she just seduced Jeff so that they can trust her, I can’t remember. But I know one thing: Brion is gonna be heartbroken when he figures out his little sister is working with Deathstroke

I'll be 100, I was getting red flags about the doctor not long after she was introduced. She would do and say things that felt... destructive, needlessly so, to a degree that belied incompetance or hostile action.
So she's not even a double agent. She's just straight up batshit insane

Some DC Comics' history and context to how/why Dr. Jace's betrayal was *_LONG_* expected by (older) DC Comics' fans watching [YJ:Outsiders season 03], and how YJ-Jace's treachery was actually a *_MILDER_* betrayal than the Outsiders-comics... *;)*
1.) *_Who is Dr. Jace?_** (DC Comics-history) --* Dr. Helga Jace actually started out (in 1983) as a mostly benevolent character, much as Dr. Jace was depicted in [YJ:Os s03]...
- a.) *Markovia Roots -* Dr. Jace was a geneticist studying the (then still new) field of Metagene Biophysics. One of the pioneers in Metagene Activation (but not the only one), Dr. Jace Meta-activated Prince Brion (GeoForce) and Princess Tara (Terra) with genuine positive intent. The royal government of Markovia had been violently overthrown, and King Viktor Markov, a personal friend of Dr. Jace, and Jace's financial backer for Jace's scientific research, had been brutally assassinated. By Meta-activating Prince Brion and Princess Tara, Dr. Jace had hoped to give the royal heirs the power to retake Markovia, and to gain revenge for her loss of King Viktor. Unfortunately, Dr. Jace had not known of Princess Tara's growing mental instability and psychopathy, as well as the extent of how many traitors there were within the former royal government (most notably Baron Fredrick DeLamb, aka Baron Bedlam). As a result, Dr. Jace's dreams/plans of a counter-coup failed miserably; Princess Tara was captured and sold off into slavery (winding up with Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke), Prince Brion barely escaped Markovia with little more than his life, and Dr. Jace was taken prisoner by Baron Bedlam's usurping forces, forced to work upon a method to mass-produce weaponized Metahumans.
- b.) *The Outsiders -* Fortunately, during transport to a prison-lab facility, Dr. Jace would be liberated by The Outsiders. Outsiders' team-member Metamorpho (Rex Mason) had sought Dr. Jace's for her help and expertise in her Metagene field, in hopes of finding a way to become human again. Seeing and grabbing onto the opportunity, Dr. Jace had The Outsiders recruit Prince Brion to the team as well. For years afterward, Dr. Jace would act as both medical and scientific support for The Outsiders, as well as taking up the role as "den mother" for the younger members.
2.) *_Betrayal_** (DC Comics) --* Eventually, as happens to most comics, interest and sales waned. So working in-tandem with the [Millennium (1998) CrossOver comics-event], The Outsiders came to their (first) comics-series end...
- a.) *Millenium (summary) -* The 'Millenium' CrossOver event featured the Guardians of the Universe (Green Lantern Corps), the Zamarons (space versions of the Amazons), and the malevolent robotic Manhunters. The threat posed by the Manhunters being that the robotic Space-Villains had deeply infiltrated Earth for decades, with many Manhunters posing as humans (some even as Super-Heroes), as well as having turned many within the Super-Heroic community to their cause as sleeper agents.
- b.) *Dr. Jace's betrayal -* Tragically for The Outsiders, Dr. Jace would be revealed as one of the Manhunters' sleeper agents. Using her intimate knowledge of The Outsiders, forcibly mind-controlling several Outsiders to attack their teammates, and the element of surprise, Dr. Jace devastated The Outsiders ranks, killing &/or crippling nearly half the team (Halo, Looker, Metamorpho). In the aftermath, GeoForce (who had risen to Outsiders' Team Leader by then) disbanded the team, ending The Outsiders' first comics-series; though eventually, The Outsiders comics would return, years later.
3.) *_Counter-balance_** --* So yes, (YJ-)Dr. Jace's crazy/insane motives were actually much milder betrayal compared to the comics-betrayal.
- a.) The counter-balance being that (comics-)Dr. Jace _died_ for her betrayal (slain in the ensuing battle), where-as (YJ-)Dr. Jace has survived by the end of [YJ:Os, s03].
- b.) Whether YJ-Dr. Jace will meet her end later on (perhaps in [YJ:Phantoms, s04]), we will see.

Helga Jace is Ultra-Humanite's student. This would make her a Light lieutenant which is why Simon Ecks fears and obeys her. Vertigo is also a Light lieutenant thanks to Savage as both of them are close colleagues. So Helga and Vertigo are both lieutenants when it comes to running Metahuman operations on Earth.
