  • Ever wondered where celebrities get ready for the Met Gala? The Mark Hotel on New York’s Upper East Side has become the place to stay for celebrities and brands as they prepare for the city’s most fashionable event of the year. Met Gala season is no small operation and takes The Mark a full 365 days of planning to make sure everything runs smoothly-whether it’s providing bottomless supplies of fried chicken or removing all furniture from certain rooms. On the big night, guests walk the custom-made Mark red carpet before heading to the Met-but the night doesn’t end there as the stars make their way back to The Mark for the afterparty in their $75,000-a-night penthouse suite.
