- SOLD While it's no secret that I don't like SUVs, I do like diesels very much, and this is a great one. The all-aluminum 3.0 liter aluminum compression combustion engine in this ML has only 240HP, but 455 lbs-ft of torque - enough to motivate its 5000+ pounds down the road at a clip faster than the gas model 350, all while turning in impressive fuel economy.

Eh not after I’m used to Lexus leather which is as soft as a baby’s bottom lmao. A friend of mine had the same Gen ML, it was an AMG tho. I don’t remember if this gen was an ML55 or ML63. Anyways the interior is very nice, wood and ambient lighting etc but not as comfy as any Lexus I’ve been in.

What an elegant SUV! I see many similarities between this and my 2013 C300, and I think that's great design. Consistency across the board really makes cars like Mercedes, BMW and Audi nice. I think this would be a phenomenal family hauler
After surviving a near-fatal car accident, I’m done with sedans. I have injuries that I probably wouldn’t have had if I was in a SUV. Currently shopping for one and Benz is top of my list

I have 258 hp here in Europe, never had problems and it is relaible, I make 11-12 l/100km
If my math is correct, that only translates to about 21-22 mpg. Is that city or highway driving?
BlueTEC means that its has a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system to reduce NOx. But it is not realy necessary to regulary refill SCR fluids as NOx is a kind of ozone wich is within hours degraded by plants and the sun (UV light) to harmless gases.
Ive just looked at 27 different ones for sale at a large wholesaler/dealer that provides independent inspection notes.
Every single one had a fairly significant issue.

I love my Ml350 Bluetec. Maintenance sucks though they're proprietary lil bastards. Everything is dealer only dont expect to buy fuel filters at Autozone. It's worth it to maintain them though; I get 800 miles a tank and can drive all day its so comfortable.

Did it have that gasket problem? I know they tried to fix at factory. Just wondering. This is why I havent bought one. It takes 3500 to fix a $10 part. Thanks

Didn't the 350 Bluetec have a gasket failure that caused the whole engine to be broken down to fix it? I heard this was a long term problem over many years? Curious if anyone knows
oil cooler seals. MB put Viton seals in there which were supposed to fix the problem. They did, but the Viton's also have longevity issues after 100k. Check class action lawsuit information

Have a 13 ML350 and so far it’s been reliable and has great acceleration and breaking . Problem is it has a cheap interior . The seats aren’t even leather which for $60k should be standard . Too much cheap plastic all over and it has a rough ride when hitting bumps . Owned a Lexus and everything was about high quality materials and a super smooth ride . But Lexus has no real power .

Great review and car. I do think that it lacks character, nothing about it really stands out, it’s essentially just a mom SUV from the early mid 2010s. BMW Audi and other automakers made almost the exact same cars back in the day

Avoid avoid avoid. Get a petrol 3.5 instead. No actual differences with fuel economy and has a lot more smoothness and reliability with petrol version
The petrol was a hugely problematic thing, at least early on (but I haven't heard of any definite revisions). Think balance shafts, when they go they wreck the engine. Then there's the variable intake manifold, that can either stop working completely and savagely increase fuel consumption, and reduce power...or it will break apart and plastic pieces will enter the motor.
Also did I say it's stupidly expensive to fix?

The diesel was a turbo actuator injector seal leaks and swirl flap issues.

Hello can you help me regarding a problem with turbo .w203 220 cdi . Year 2003 . Engine always in noodloop ( 70 kilometers per houre ) i changed aire flow meter .and the vacuim pomp of turbo. Many thanks
