  • Bryan introduces the Sensi Touch 2 smart thermostat for #HVAC. He covers its capabilities, including its ability to connect to up to 15 room sensors and its privacy-first approach to data collection and storage. Learn more about the Sensi Touch 2 at hvacrschool.co....
The Sensi Touch 2 is thin and sleek, has a bright display, and comes in white and black versions. It also helps you monitor your system performance by generating usage and efficiency reports. In addition, it will allow customers to receive alerts and maintenance reminders. The actual thermostat has all of the typical control terminals, including ACC+ and ACC- to allow you to connect accessories like dehumidifiers. You may also purchase the common wire kit if there isn't an existing common wire.
The Sensi Touch 2 integrates with the Sensi app, which allows you to set up the Sensi Touch 2 and receive data in a single platform. You can also add your company information to the thermostat via the app, which lets your customers know who to call when they receive an alert or reminder. The app also allows you to set schedules and has optional geofencing capabilities.
Sensi room sensors measure temperature and humidity, allowing customers to prioritize certain rooms or seek a balance across multiple rooms.
Unlike some other manufacturers that may sell user data for marketing purposes, the Sensi Touch 2 will not sell the data that it collects, and the company has a privacy pledge.

Was debating what thermostat to use. I am installing Emporia energy monitoring systems. Definitely going with this one. The most challenging part of energy monitoring is the lack of 460V 3-phase Delta monitoring systems. Wait, I just read the comments. WTF maybe I'll go to Honeywell th9320.

Does this thermostat make a clicking noise when it turns on? I have an older Sensi smart thermostat which click very loudly and I'd like to replace it with a non-clicking thermostat. Thank you.

Does it offer Humidification and/or Dehumidification outputs?
If so, can it control by dewpoint, or only relative humidity?

It does both. But just relative humidity

What gives the most information for tracking operation and maintenance?. The original Sensi Predict with all the attached temperature sensors ? Rs100-104
    Smart AC stat ?
    Or Sensi touch 2 ?
Is the First Sensi Predict with the temperature refrigerant line sensors and amp draw sensor still have the best integration with measureQuick for diagnosis ?

Does it have standard "J box" spacing for the mounting screws? I know this is mostly a commercial application thing, but it would be nice.

I will have a hard time trusting them after the whorl debacle with Sesni Predict.

I've had two of the Sensi Touch 1 models (one per zone) for years now, and am looking forward to ditching them in the near future.
I found them to be overpriced for what little they do. There is no way to get your data out of their system to answer your own questions beyond their very rudimentary usage reports.
Those who want privacy should not be using thermostats that send their data outside of their home to systems they have no control over.

please don't take money from this garbage company. trust me. we have multiple accounts with them. commercial accounts also. there programming , website and app all are very buggy.
i have been full of frustration with this company for years.
get a Honeywell or Ecobee. trust me you will much happier.

So are they recording everything you do or not? Hhahahah! Probably. Then comes the claim that they were "hacked."
