@@willianyano8596 - Yes, this is the matter. You think that these moves should be useful and practical in a fight. Samurai laid down their weapons. No war! ...no more. However, they were not willing to stop their training. This is what you just saw.

Aikido isn't designed to fight. It's purpose is to get your attacker away from you while not hurting them.
This isn't Steven Segal style pseudo macho bullshit.
I was floored and submitted by a woman half my size and half my weight. With applying aikido on only one joint of my four limbs she kept me completely paralized and half-fainted on the ground.Next day in the local papers I read;
