Do you think Alina and Mal will reunite in Shadow and Bone Season 3? Comment your thoughts below!
I think they will get together and that they will bring back the Darkling I hope. Maybe we will see Alina have a corruption arch. With she and the Darkling ruling side by side.
well in the books they are endgame, so yeah he will come back for her.
I want Malina to be da end game no matter how they make some changes n da series
@@thandondlovu5392 that won't happen
@@thandondlovu5392 Darklina Always
BOOK SPOILERS The bee at the end wasn't about Zoia, it was a nod to the book readers that we're going to get a "King of Scars" storyline about Saint Elizaveta stealing Darkling's body to resurrect him later
A brilliant Idea for season 3 would be playing on the popularity of Darklina and making Alina go bad with the Darkling brought back to life by her side.
That would be very interesting!
Siii interesante
I had a full on rant to myself of like imagine that the darkling can come back but what if because of the burnt body, they use the king instead and he kinda like possesses the body to be with Alina so we get darklina just the darkling is using another body ... Or something I don't know just a random thought 😅😂
I know Niks story from the books isn't that but if netflix were to go on another tangent ... That I think would be a cool story line (if done right)
He comes back in the book rule of wolves so there’s a chance he could come back and they kinda hinted towards that book series with the bee on zoyas shoulder
I don't know why you all would still want Darklina. The darkling treats Alina horribly
The way they mold Alina’s powers being polluted by darkness but draw that idea from the books when she was able to draw upon Aleksander’s powers (as told by David in the books they shared more than dreams etc but could draw on each others powers). They can even use the fact her powers are going dark to change her colour to how it is in the books.
I am very disappointed she bought Mal back to life. It’s as if Baghra knew the price she would pay because her father did it to her sister and that’s why she warned her and told her to promise she’ll not, I also think that’s why Mal does not feel their true star connection because if you recall Mal was in his version of paradise in the meadow fields where they use to go when they was younger but as Alina brings him back to life his pulled from there and their connection is lost; so I think the price of her using merzost is more than her powers being polluted but effects on Mal (which can lead to her having to kill him again to reset balance) but I guess we will see in season 3.
I also think that Nikolai’s nishevo’ya wound is a source of darkness that Alina may also be pulling from too which evidently shows they are more connected in their paths/stories than ever as the only person Alina has risked killing anyone for is Mal; so the way she came to Nikolai’s defence like that has more to the story. Aleksander is definitely still alive and Baghra might possibly be too, I did also read that the darkling might have possess inside Alina and came to her defence with the Cut just like how his nishevo’ya use to come to defend him but I guess time will tell.
Nikolai’s dawning Aleksander’s colours at his coronation was a good twist, from wearing green (the royal family’s colour), brown, white and even blues showcases that his innocence is gone and the adventurous, playful kind side is being slowly slipping away by the wound made by the nishevo’ya which plays into his season 3 storyline (that correlates with the King of Scars book) of him having mental effects and changes instead of physical ones as his tone and energy when talking to the papparat seemed more sinister and conniving especially regarding the day he choice to do his coronation.
The bee landing on Zoya definitely confirms her story plot and how she meets the saints, I hope they use this to also introduce Ulla (Aleksander’s half sea creature sister) because her story is very interesting even though it’s short. Regarding Genya I really hope she gets her happy ending, she’s been through a lot and deserve that, if you watch tv series the saying goes if there’s no body then the person could possibly be alive so that is the case for David.
I love how they intertwined the Six of crows with the main plots in the show and did it once again with the drug, with Nina and Matthias I hope they tie that end of their story up next season but change his fate because that would just have been a waste of a character. Lastly, I think they was setting up a romance for Inej and Tolya if you notice when she gets on the flying ship they have a moment especially as they hold hands when he helps her board (which mirrors the difference between her and Kaz), I hope they do explore that because I feel they get each other more and have more similarities than we think
Couldn't have explained it better myself. Honestly I super hyped for the changes made in the show compared to the book. I also can't wait to see what has happened to Alina and Nikolai's via the darkling, and how that will affect their relationship and the story going forward. I'm a massive fan of the changes made in the show with regards to Alina. I hated the idea that she loses her power and lives happily ever after with Mal. I like the show version more, with her truly accepting she is powerful, Grisha, and now a Queen, sticks better with her story and character growth. Besides after all the shit she did, she deserves it.
@@haydenscholze7452 You get the perspective. Likewise, I haven’t the books as of yet but the show is what has enticed me let alone introduced me to this universe of stories. However, I feel a lot of people forget when books are adapted into shows and movies they are not always going to be chronologically accurate
@@Leo_1157 I think there will be too, from the way the actors were talking in the interviews even the author at the premiere but it’s the lifespan of how long the show can go on for is the million dollar question it has been said they opened a writing room for a SOC spin off
She didn't kill anyone to save Nikolai. That particular point is incorrect.
I love how nicely you explained it❤❤
Regarding Kirigan, the showrunners hinted that although the body was destroyed, one thing stills remains: his severed hand
Ahhhh! That's interesting!
I came to the exact same realization that the emphasis was placed on destroying all of him. The severed hand is thus the obvious oversight and opportunity for a return.
I think the Darkling / Kirigan is likely to come back in a new season, for 2 reasons: In Season 1, Baghra tells Alina Kirigan ad his blood acts as an amplifier, and as Alina kills him, its most likely she will have a kind of connection with him and his powers. Also, when his body is burned, his hand Baghra cut off is not there, so its a possibility to be used and bring him back.
The final scene suggests Alina's dark side evolution, she might not be able to control the dark power, so The Darkling might be brought back to help her control it
Meanwhile Im just here hoping Zoya/Nikolai and David/Genya fans get the justice they deserve in the next season. (esp since David is DEFINITELY ALIVE)
Let’s hope he is!
If David is dead I swear I will riot
YEEESS!!!
I definitely agree that there’s a lot of directions the show can go and that the crows were great.
Yeah I definitely want to see more Crows!
@@BrainPilot me too. You can never have too many crows in my opinion
Season 2 was awesome! The Crows were on 🔥 the entire cast was on🔥...I anticipate season 3.
The way it ended was crazy and so unexpected 🤯
I hope the Drakling comes back. I know I’m going to get a a lot of hate but I think Alina and him are a great relationship to look into. 1. They both balance each other out (light and darkness) 2. The chemistry is everything in S1 3. He obviously does have feelings for her even if it’s in some twisted way. Not to mention he’s really fucked up inside, he’s always known revenge and hate for the humans. He had lost people throughout his years of living. I think when he met Alina, he definitely fell for her esp how loving she was. How she was so opposite from him, that’s why he believed they could do great things together. He did ruin it with trying to control her, but I think he did that because that’s all he’s known. To control and rule. In some deep dark twisted way, he does love her. 4. The story is definitely more interesting. Don’t get me wrong falling inlove with your childhood friend is great but falling inlove w a villain who created the Fold and wants to build a new world. Then you guys fight and you kill him. He gets resurrected and saves you from your dark self. He refers himself and becomes better. See? That’s way more interesting. Long story short I stan Darklina. Thanks for coming to my Tedtalk :)
Trying to see what happens if “I can fix him” ever works huh.
Stan Darklina always, I fully support your comment :)
I think he is apart of her now. It seem like she at least absorbed his powers.
Patiently waiting for season 3 can't even wait
Same here!
I think the KOS and SOC real stories will collide in the next season very well
Nothing is sure with netflix. Warrior Nun was massively popular, even without promotional advertisements, and yet it was cancelled.
I remember the same predicament with the series 'Firefly' a few decades ago. It only aired in my country after midnight- and it kept changing time slots every week. It was easier to go and buy the video of the series! I hate it when executives decide for us. They need to realise this is why regular television is a dying medium. It's the same reason magazines and newspapers are slowly dying- they ignore their audience's interests.
Idk if I can watch a season without the darkling lol.
I feel like we’ll learn to love it without!
@@BrainPilot Nope! We won't.
@Lilman Yellow he's not hot to me. Also , he's extremely abusive, even to his own mother
@@lailaalanna315 well dont take it too seriously it’s a frigging series. if all characters are like you, nobody would watch - boring
@@iva1993ful you clearly don't understand what I'm saying I'm not surprised. Anyway, it's whatever...
and Mal becames captain jack sparrow 💀😂 I really hope mal can showcase some true powers in season 3 since he is a descendent of Morozova, one of the most powerful Grisha who ever lived.
in the king od scars zoya and nikolai brings the darkling back from the death . that bee we so is a clue you should read king of scars zoya brings him back to life to fight the fjidarns and lastly i think the darkling will sacrifice himself in season 3
Zoya doesn’t bring the Darkling back to life. Elizaveta does.
I was worried that there wouldn't be anything for a season 3, but now I'm hyped. I hope it's renewed.
Yeah there's definitely a plot to develop in Season 3!
Thanks Much !
Next season will probably be about Six of crows and King of scars. So the crows doing the heist and kidnaping the creator of the drug, meanwhile Nikolai and Zoya trying to lead Ravka while dealing with Nikolai's little problem, and the saints. Alina will probably reunite with Mal in Shu, and they will have a new storyline to fit the narrative of the books but they will no longer be the center of the show since their story already ended, now the Crows and Zoyalai are the main characters.
I am so excited for the six of crows to be finally fully adapteddd
I see that the shadow looks to be going into Nikolai as Kirigan died, to survive?
I really hated second season I’ll re watch and see if I change my mind. I do believe it’s because I’ve read the book I do like the shift and change but if Alina doesn’t become evil and the darkling becomes good and saves Alina and they are end game I don’t want it. Lol 😂
Yes, I find it's always better to see the drama before reading the books. If you do it the other way around you end up being disappointed after every moment that you felt was essential but was left out.
I'm on the waiting list for my local library to borrow the books (ebooks- don't actually have to go and get them). I'm now reconsidering postponing this as I hear a 3rd season is imminent.
I think Inej's brother is the little Grisha that helps Darkling
That would be a twist!
I think so too.
Dunklin?
@@iqranuur8523 😂😂 I'm sure they meant "Darkling"
I hope mal doesn’t end up back with Alina. Let her be her own woman and grow.
That's fair - he seemed so lost at the end!
mal deserve to be happy
In the books, Alina will completly lose her power and she will end up with Mal living their life in a far village away from ravka and everything
@Lilman Yellow I think that she does love Mal. I just think that the writers didn't do a good enough job when writing some of their scenes
I didn't read the books and I think the same. I was uncomfortable with the ending, especially for Mal.
I can't wait for season 3!!!
in the books elisaveta brings back kirigan, so he will definitely return
That will be very interesting!
@@BrainPilot you can't pass on the magnificent acting of ben barnes, the best acting I've seen this season :)
@@coronajewelry. Well, in the books the darkling comes back in another body, so we may not have Ben Barnes again. But we never know, they can change everything.
@@Ana_Paula.Frasson hard pass to change ben barnes. when the poster of him got more likes than the main character, it is a simple tell… 😊
@@Ana_Paula.Frasson they will a different actor for Yuri
Season 2 was great.
But I cried so much for Genya-my favourite character of the show. She was ruined.
Do you think she was ruined?
@@BrainPilot I don't think so. I think she's lucky to be alive
Very nice analysis!!! 🤍
In season 3, it could also be proposed an intense suspicion before we can see who, between Alina and Nikolai is causing havoc using “shadow magic”… with even neither of them knowing for sure until the great revelation… it could be a great plot twist !
Mal received the Light magic when Alina used Merzost during she used it to save him.
Maybe?
I hope so. Mal is my favourite character
@@itsbiancakesz yes he is. They may never make Mal a grisha though. I can't wait for season 3, I have so many questions, and Mal is my favourite character ❤
Mal is on alxanders bloodline. No ? That means he will eventually can summon shadow or wat ever ther bloodline can do. Ther cousins after all.. i hope they let mal showcase some powers after finding his true self and purpose.. ther bloodline is strong 😀
No, she likely paid for Mals life with her sun summoning power. An exchange
@@itsbiancakesz i wonder if her new shadow abilities are because she absorbed mals bones and he was related to the darkling.
I think how Season 3 is going to go on the Ravkan side would be for Alina to become a main antagonist, taking on the role of Sankta Elizaveta from the book and successfully revives General Kirigan in Nikolai’s body. Then Zoya gets to play hero and at the end of the season, the story will be caught up to the end of rule of wolves.
Hate how these "good" main characters never listen to villains when they are trying to warn them. Not everything the bad guy says is manipulative, sometimes they are right. Look at Kirigan warning Alina about the future, and how she would need him to balance her out. He was even ready to keep being the bad guy for the world just to make sure they wouldn't come for her. He knows what others are capable of, and what people like him eventually end up doing. Stupid Alina.
Also why would you kill the bad but somewhat sensible guy (one of the biggest reason people watched the show) and focus on the block of wood (Mal) ?? It's like they want to get cancelled
I agree he said fax she didn’t want to listen but she’ll def learn
I agree as well now she isn’t the sun summer anymore smh 🤦🏾♂️
Great season 2~ Can't wait for 3!
Same here!
I hope the darkling come back and they Wil be together
I have a theory about it but I feel like it's a dumb theory about darkling coming back. I feel like he can use the face that the king is infected with the shadow thing and basically come back in a new body or something
I know he has the whole demon plot but if they were to deviate from that that's what I would hope they do
He will come back! After all, he is immortal he cant be killed ..go read the books and you will discover many things
my favorite character is alexander i just wished they would’ve kept him alive it’s not gonna be the same for me even tho he was killing everybody he truly loved her you can tell
@@fulichak6499 exactly. These people are crazy and clearly don't know what love is. He wants Alina because of her powers, nothing more. He treats her and everyone else horribly
@@lailaalanna315 bro can you chill out I literally said bro my favorite character idc wtf you say bout him being abusive at the end of the day he still my favorite character
@@latj16x I'm chill. You're the one who keeps mentioning me. Get a life
I'm still baffled why Sabrina was not continued even if it was widely watched.
Does this mean Alina doesn’t have light powers anymore, only shadow?
That's what I think!
Still can’t believe she used a forbidden magic now she would be a bigger threat to people
Doesn't she use her light powers during the coronation?
@@loverlyme that’s already darkness. same as kirigan’s. she definitely remembered what kirigan’s mom warned her about using a forbidden spell or magic but she used it to save mal. that might be the reason of her change.
the acting & the power of darkling (ben barnes) are too good to be replaced by a mere mediocre of mal’s role. honestly he doesn’t really carry the show, if at all.
next season will be the resurrection of darkling & unite his power with alina. as for mal, guess he’d finally find out he’s a morozova blood line and will help both darkling & alina. i hope darklina is the endgame. the idea of light & darkness unite & protect ravka (especially grisha) is too good to be wasted on undeveloped character, finite & mortal human like mal.
They could make mal return to save alina from herself.
I think that could be what happens!
that would be waste of great acting of ben barnes. honestly mal acting is just mediocre at best.
@@iva1993ful I believe it's more about the themes the series follows than any else, ben barnes amazing actor but I am under the impression that he has other projects that would not allow being a big part of season 3 of the show. Besides it appears that the next season will mix all the books again, and they have a lot of plot points that needed the darkline to be gone to be able to focus on them.
I know Nikolai is goodlooking, but still Mal is handsome as well, team Malina forever! They are endgame tho if the producer changes the series plot for the endgame I would cry,
@Lilman Yellow i always know she love mal and she will always do , but power corrupt her mind and hopefully they get back together, only Mal can calm her down..
@@deadmouzes8389 I don't find Nikolai attractive. Mal is hot. Also, none of those other men would be interested in Alina if she wasn't the sun summoner. Malina forever ❤
Maybe mal can b d sun summoner since Alina use the black magic! And when alina use the power u can see mal was pull away when they were together! So Alina will be Banish from Ravkar because the king saw her when he used the black power then he will turn bad!!!! Seems Mal and Alina will fight against each other despite I don’t want them to! B
Honestly, can’t believe it ended up with the cliche trope of light needs darkness and someone need to bear darkness nonsense. And the way she is smiling like it wasn’t weird
I feel like it will get good as the season goes on!
So are they saying Alina it’s the darling? No pls I love Alina so much can’t see him being badddddd😢😢😢
I fucking hated S2 so much. They ruined Alina and darkling story just to give unnecessary back story of crows which they could have done on their own spin off.
I want a tragic romance:
-Alina gets slowly more dark, by being faced with difficult choices
-Darkling gets resurrected, and becomes slowly more good, from his love for Alina (but she keeps pushing him away)
-season 3 ends with the Darkling sacrificing himself to save Alina and the world
-she admits she loves him, he dies at peace in her arms - the end.
…
Let's all admit this is the best poetic ending, and works best with the plot so far 💘
if season 3 is without Ben Barnes, then I won't get watching it!
It's officially been canceled
Lol success? it’s gonna be cancelled. Nobody’s talking about it
people are talking about how bad it is tho.
Man alina first seduced Mal, then kirigan and after that Nikolai. Now nikolai turns into shadow demon. I think Alina will seduce that eyepatch girl next. Really liked Kirigan, whatever he said was true and whatever his mother said was also true. In the end Alina will be a Stupid Girl just like Bregha said.
That's lot of toxic misogyny.
@@bananawammabama agree on the seduced part its misogynistic. but the rest ? oh boy it’s hard to watch alina without screaming you stupid naive girl
