    Besides .. super noisy single coils, this guitar is kick ASS! Such nice dreamy / shoe-gazey tones.

    Good review. I have the exact same model, same basic issues, but it's such a good-sounding instrument. I normally bounce between a Fernandes Strat and a Jackson Dinky, and this guitar opens up a whole different world of tonal possibilities.

    Thanks for the info. This was everything I needed to know. Buying one to mod. Well done.

    Was looking at 60's Strat and Tele's and bumped into this one 😮
    Watched a different video and it was very bright (shredding...) but your playing suits the qualities of this guitar better (understatement). This goes very well with clean & modulation of some sorts...complimenting my Gretsch G5421 (2x HB) with fuzz 😎.

    This is a very compreensive reviw of the guitar, totally agree with you. Mine had the same issiues, sunburst from 2020, the bridge is easy to fix, the switch does fail and i have ordered an american one, yes the g string and low e string saddles are pushed back.Yes the tolerances are spotty, but this is my favourite guitar I own and I cherish it so much. After fixing a few things and changing parts to my taste It's a fine instrument and one I won't part ways.

    I really appreciated your review. I'm thinking about buying it now while there are some good holiday deals available. I'm fairly new to guitar, but I like the 60's Surf sound and I think this guitar would be a good fit

      If you are New to guitar i would not recommend ir. I had over 300 guitars in the last 30 years. You should have experience in setting up a guitar avove all buying a squier jazzmaster.

    I had the same issue with the toggle switch on my USA Custom shop Charvel, and I fixed it with unscrewing it and screwing it back. Don't know what was wrong with it, but now it works. So there are problems like this with the very most expensive instruments out there also.

    I love mine . It has a better sound than my Strat.. It plays very well after shimming the neck . It is certainly a quality guitar . I dont think I would ever want another guitar. It fits the style music I play and my skill level .

    Nice review although for me the vintage modified version is just as good.. Squier certainly didn't do the classic vibe as an upgrade rather a simple rebranding. The pickups are very similar , ok the cv has a fake bone nut but the vm has a real rosewood board which many prefer.

    I decided to buy a used Vintera 60's Jazzmaster (ice blue metallic), instead of the Squire CV, after much research and watching videos, wasn't able to play either one. I prefer a more chunky neck, and the Vintera has a medium-C neck with smooth satin Urethane finish. Vintera neck is more chunky than what Squire CV uses - which also uses a dipped in poly finish. The pickups are supposedly better on the Vintera, and they seem to sound better on videos, but you make the Squire CV sound great. Do you really like it more than the Mexican Vintera versions....?

      @themusicroom4104  Рік тому

      Thanks for watching! I think the Vinteras are definitely better made instruments. In Canada, they’re around the $1500 price point. So I wasn’t considering them while making the video. I guess it’s up to individuals whether they think the 3x price is worth it. I did have a bunch of quality control problems with the Squier and that might be enough to justify the cost right there.

    Hey man great video! I have the same Squier Jazzmaster and my tremolo bar just won't hold and alway falls out. Do you have an idea how to fix that?

    • @themusicroom4104
      @themusicroom4104  Рік тому +2

      Hey! I appreciate your comment. I found that usually it’s one of two things. The arm can be firm to push in all the way and it can go half way in before there’s resistance. You should be able to press the arm in all the way till the bend is touching the tremolo plate. The arm stays in on friction alone so it’s very important that it’s pressed in as far as it’ll go. If that’s the case and it’s still falling out you can follow this video from this other creator: ua-cam.com/users/shortsZgwHtfQcpy4?feature=share

    if the one i am getting has the sinking bridge issue i'm going to simply go to the hardware store and buyallen key set screws that are the appropriate length for the height of the bridge i want, thread them to the bottom and then the bridge screws will tension against them and never move again.

    Mine had a terrible neck. Sharp fret ends all the way. Glue on the fretboard. Too high frets. I got a 50 Euro discount from Thomann for that circumstances. I did the fretwork by my own, did a full setup, put thomastik flatwounds on it, shim the neck and now it is a good guitar.
