How sad that these historical monuments have been allowed to disintegrate. This history will be lost unless more is done to preserve it. It looks like many of the homes are already irreparable. Has no one else taken an interest in preserving this history? I read the book that was written about the Hairston family. It was very interesting. I’d love to visit these places.
