Here it is, the long awaited Zerwee, Pt. 2. Some will love it I’m sure, but I also understand that it’s not quite as upbeat as the first, which might make some prefer the first. The album certainly isn’t perfect, as the guitar tones sound almost nothing like I originally intended and the album was originally supposed to have live drums, which clearly isn’t the case. I really love the songs on here, but it was just very hard for me to produce them the way they were originally intended to sound like, and this was the best I could do. It also doesn’t help that the first EP gave such high expectations, so if this isn’t quite what you expected I apologize. Still, like I said before, I really like the songs. Perhaps in the future I will remaster/rerecord it to sound how it was originally intended to sound. I felt the need to release it now in the state that it is in because it would have taken a long long time for me to perfect it, and with the indefinite delay of Van Weezer I felt it was my duty to fill the void. As of right now, I don’t really see myself making another Zerwee, as I’d like to explore my own sounds and not rely on the sound of another’s. Perhaps in the future if I come up with some great ideas and/or production tricks I may make Zerwee a trilogy, but I don’t see that happening for a while. Regardless of all of this, I hope you all still enjoy.

Don't you see? Weezer isn't some band. 'Weezer', in the technical sense, never even existed. Weezer was always an idea. One that's transformative- passing from soul to soul with time passed. Weezer is an allegory for the hardships of adolescence lost, of discomforting change, of human all nature itself. There's a little bit of Weezer in all of us, and in that sense, we are all Weezer. Like an olympic torch being passed, 'Weezer' will always embrace the physical form of a new entity when the ones who once bore it age and adapt, and in them Weezer will write itself onto the page and within every lick of the golden 4 chord melody. To yearn for the return, nay- the revival of Weezer; an understandable, but misguided principle. Weezer never left. Weezer has been there when man first step foot on land, and Weezer will be there when man takes its final step. It may disguise itself, shuffle the letters around, but the prospect of Weezer is everlong. And in this night, once again, it has blessed us through the effigy of Billy Cobb. God speed.

Although Zerwee’s sophomore album contained fewer radio hits than their debut, Tinkerpon was realesed to wide acclaim from Zerwee fans and is still contested to be Zerwee’s strongest showing.

Billy. You’ve truly created something astounding. You’ve reminded me why I have loved Weezer for so long in the first place. This is what I have been longing for since high school, a true follow up to Songs from the Black Hole. An evolution. And you really do sound so much like Rivers at times, it’s crazy. But the song writing here, man, it’s out of this world. The mixing, the lyrics, everything. This album is taking THE 90s weezer nostalgia and running wild with it. Keep it up man.

Hey billy, after reading the description i just want to let you know there’s no reason for apologizing for giving us this great work of art even if it’s “not what some people were expecting”. I loved it and the first one as well, but i’m glad to read you’re exploring more on your own voice after this as i think stuff like the boro and strokes of incarceration even better. But this really spoke to me too, i’ve only listened to it once and haven’t really taken on the full meanings of each song yet but there were so many lines that resonated with me really strongly. It brought a tear to my eye and i just want to say thank you.
