Fun backstory: A fellow Logan's employee gave me a few tubers back in the day when we worked together. The tubers mostly languished under a huge Bloodgood maple in the deep shade for about 20 years. I moved all I could find, which was about 6 healthy tubers, into the part sun 2 years ago and watered them. Now I have a lush grove of these fragrant ginger lilies! For your Dr Moi, did you not keep up removing the non-variegated growth, or did you get a piece that was regular and were hoping for new variegated growth?

Yeah it started variegated but rapidly went green and I wanted mass for screening so I just left it go.

I've got a dark orange and I don't recall any fragrance either on it
