    Aprilia and Moto Guzzi are owned by Piaggio the fourth largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world.
    There are no parts supply issues with either, there has been in the past but not now
    The build quality on both far exceeds anything from Japan.
    Who cares about luggage and convenience, you have that with the GS
    Just look at the Tuono it’s stunning and fun, this is what motorcycling is about for the vast majority of us .
    Great Video, love those roads too
    Thanks

      Thanks MGG.. yeah if I'm honest I couldn't care less especially if I liked the bike enough. I had a 916 mid nineties when Ducati were a nightmare to deal with, that didn't put me off back then and I'd buy this bike tomorrow if I had the money sat in my bank account. 😉

    You keep mentioning that it's less practical than the Duke R. I really don't think you're looking for practicality here mate 😝 It's your second bike to a GS, so you have all the practicality you need.
    Judging purely by how much fun you sound to be having I'd definitely say this is the one. 🤘🤘🤘

    Went to check this bike (yet again) and it’s one stunning piece of engineering. The sound of that V4 is astonishingly good! I’d have this over the Superduke. Thanks for sharing.

    I've owned 2 tuono v4,s over a 3 year period and for the last 6 months have been riding a superduke 1290 and I now have the answer to the question . If you want to go banzai get the tuono . However the 1290 will do 95% of what a tuono can achieve with way more comfort and if you want to ride slower does not feel like its poking you with a stick to go faster like the Aprilia does. As a road bike I think the duke would suit more people's needs

    • @ricardoedwardo5799
      @ricardoedwardo5799 3 роки тому

      Yeah, but it's not a Tuono. I ride this bike because it's mental, soul moving, chassis is razor sharp and the sound fucks your ear pussy.
      Test rode the 1290r, not even close to the Tuono!

    • @ricardoedwardo5799
      @ricardoedwardo5799 2 роки тому

      Ridden both, on 2nd Tuono. SD is a good bike in its own right. Handling is like a noodle and feels 'clunky' it is comfy though.
      Bit the Tuono is a crazy, sharp weapon. It's just the nest bike on the planet. Ride both, if you like fun, sound and emotion get the Ape. You want comfort and additional costs for quick shifters etc already installed, get the noodle.

      KaiserWheelHelm our best local dealer is a Aprilia and Ktm dealer. The V4 1100 is very reliable, Aprilia has definelty changed in the last 10 years
      Parts are no more difficult to get than any other manufacturer. Also on track the bike is a weapon,

    Lolol I am with you on the "Witchcraft electronics" I am 50ish and my last machine, back when you had your blade, was a GPZ750; skinny little wheels, a great bike in its' day but NOW... as a lapsed rider feeling the bug I am amazed how far bikes as a whole have come on. I am a (skint) Kid in a Sweetshop! Love your reviews, subbed. 👍

    • @KaiserWheelHelm
      @KaiserWheelHelm  5 років тому

      Thanks Si.. oooh yeah I remember the GPZ750.. when I was a dispatch rider I had an old Kawasaki GT750 (shaft drive) and before that a shitty old CX500. Good times 😂 there isn't a bad bike these days, they are all excellent. You definitely don't need to spend this sort of money on a bike to have fun. I have a mate who bought a mint Honda blackbird off Ebay for £1400. He's now doing 180mph everywhere and laughing. Mind you mint 92 fireblades are fetching stupid money.. Thanks for the sub man appreciated 👍😀

    I owned an SDR and then bought a 1250 GS. I wound up selling the SDR because I liked the refinement of the GS, particularly the fueling. I then made the mistake of riding a Ducati Diavel 1260S. The torque throughout is amazing and very comfortable to ride. You owe to your self to take one for a ride and see if you want to add it to your list. I think it compliments the GS really well.

    • @KaiserWheelHelm
      @KaiserWheelHelm  5 років тому

      I like that idea.. personally I prefer the look of the x-diavel, but yeah I need to ride one they look amazing.

  • @simonlutt9849
    @simonlutt9849 5 років тому +5

    Sorry, it is not my kind of bike!
    It's too much of a race bike to me and that's not what I want a bike to be.
    You mentioned the Super Duke. That's more I like it. You sit upright, not so bend and the engine is probably one of the best ever built. But that is a matter of taste, isn't it?

    • @stevehash158
      @stevehash158 5 років тому

      The tuno wins every test casue its better, KTM has 1 thing and thats TQ its a wheelie machine in every gear.. Wheelie are fun af but not 100% of the t ime!! i have done 200miles trip in a tuono like nothing

  • @benkeii1st
    @benkeii1st 5 років тому

    "WOOHOOO... So, where was I?" 👍🏻
    I haven't ridden the Tuono but from what I read and heard, it's a completely different bike compared to the SDR. The V4 is smooth and powerful, more refined and with better manners. The 1290 V2 is a brute, massive torque just everywhere, a brutal motor.
    Choose your poison. I'll stick with my 100Nm@2500rpm 😎
    Both awesome bikes. What's it gonna be? The muscles, yet elegant 100m sprinter or the football hooligan? 😆

    • @KaiserWheelHelm
      @KaiserWheelHelm  5 років тому +1

      Both are so good!.. When the time comes I'll ride them back to back and make my mind up then. Love them both tbh. I need to become a UA-cam sensation and earn loads of money. I might start a gaming channel or have breast augmentation. That seem to work for some people 😂😂

    • @benkeii1st
      @benkeii1st 5 років тому
