It’s the owner not the dog but the difference is a dog like that can do a lot more damage than a little dog… and if we have people with no idea or control over these dogs they are essentially a weapon on the end of a lead

These dogs will be banned within 6 months. Obviously it's good training, socialisation and ownership which makes ANY dog a safe and obedient dog. However, because of their size, strength and capability to wound or kill that in the WRONG hands they can be lethal. Unfirtunately there are FAR too many of these in the wrong hands and the outcone is horrendous. My friend's 14 year old tiny cross breed was killed whilst she was ON lead by an XL. The XL was also on lead, but slipped his collar, ran across the park and killed the little dog. The girl walking the XL was not strong enough to hold him. This dog was owned by a drug dealer who also bred them for sale too. I love dogs and have 2 myself. There is no such thing as a bad dog, but there are VERY many bad owners. I support the ban, also for Cane Corso. Sorry, but there needs to be a way to protect the public and their pets.

True the dog is never the problem, it's always the other end of the leash. The thing is just if you are a bad owner and own a Dachshund there will be no hmm let's call it carnage. But if you own a bully or a pitbull it's a whole other world of harm that can be inflicted on others.

The Xl bullies and pitbulls are not dogs to just leave at the house, you have to train them so nothing bad happens even socialization.

    Great little video!
Talk about comfortable, he is a smooth, charming boy. Well done with training him! I walk an XL for a family, he is almost a clone of Sub.. physically but at 18mo, I'm working on our bond, I'd like to have his eyes on me a lot more. Doing well, but only have an hour a day mon-fri. Any breed specific tips.
    God bless,

Hard to gauge this boys size from the video, but it is MASSIVE, it’s the largest NON Genuine Staffy I’ve seen, it’s not a Staffy as such it has mastiff around 20% I’m guessing, is not really an XL Bully

  • @scouser2597

Ive always had staffs an a staff pit cross. No issues at all, all boss dogs an well trained. XL's r lovely looking dogs but always feel a bit uneasy when i see 1 off the lead or if they're with a 9st dickhead kid. 99% of the owners in my area do the breed no favours at all.

If these are banned your staff could be next, I am always appalled by the way some ignorant people react to my English Bull Terrier, often whilst allowing their reactive dog to bark and behave inappropriately.

  • @markorollo.
    @markorollo. 11 місяців тому

it's 95% about the owner, of course there will be some xl's that are more difficult to control, but couldnt the same be said about humans? it can certainly be said about other breeds of dog, my Grandparents had a Jack Russell that was a sandwich short of a picnic, and dont get me started on even smaller dogs, its like they have some sort of inferiority complex about their size and have to prove their doggyness lol, even cats, one of mine punched me in the face once for no reason i can think of, missed my eye by millimetres. i dont want them banning.

Sorry but these dogs along with Rottweilers should be banned and made illegal. I appreciate how training is very important and how you are helping to educate people on these dogs. Yes it is how you raise them but at the end of the day they are very strong and their bite can kill a human being very easily. If they flip then it's a fatal situation. There are also too many people who own these dogs who do not know how to train them. So in my opinion they should be banned. I also don't agree with the public reaction where people commented saying it's all about the owners and how they are raised. True but that doesn't stop the fact that they are strong and lethal compared to other dogs. It's like in America people there are allowed firearms yet they are banned here and so they should be.

Isn't it incredible how we celebrate the pathetic insecurity of human beings, who makes themselves feel bigger by having synthetically-created muscle dogs?
Anybody with these types of dogs has serious issues with the society around them.

@M Monty Nope, it says everything about you and your weakness, that you feel the need for such dogs.
The more dangerous the dog, the less emotionally secure the owner usually is. It is a rule of thumb that is almost never wrong.
Good luck with your emotional shortcomings.

Guns ate legal, but I doubt you would have the skills to use it in such an environment.
You have the same gun laws as us in Ireland , thinking you could safely use a firearm in such a public place is madness.
It would make the person not suitable for a firearm license. You are limited to long guns, rifles a d shotgun, but only for hunting and other such activities., such as sport.
They are not for use as a weapon, firearms have other functions, use as a weapon is only one.
Most people can't hit a large target at 25 feet the first time they use a handgun
Also you discharge a gun in such a environment as the video where is the round going to finish up after it exists the dog? .
The solution is having such animals training, solicalised and under control. Responsible ownership.
