I’ve said it before, these places should be granted some sort of protected status as a British cultural icon and get support. There are so many groups winning grants and subsidies, but pie & mash shops serve the community and should be helped.

This is my birth place. Lived their worked their & my school was around the corner. Opp poplar baths & fire station next door. All saints church is out of this world. Pie n mash to die for. Just the best stuff. Being I now live along way. Just seem the best thing to have every trip to London

Can’t beat pie and mash Darren. My favourites were Kelly’s in Roman Road and Robins in East Ham and on a Saturday Nathan’s at Upton Park!!! Those were the days!!
Kelly's was my first pie and mash in London a good few years ago. I was lucky enough to be taken there by someone from the area who knew it was my first time eating the dish. And as I recall it was lovely.

Another great video , can’t believe the prices currently paying £3.30 for a cappuccino in North Wales. Thought about you over the weekend, no end of bikers on the quay at Conwy, and today no end of bikers crossing the Britannia bridge out of Anglesey. Bikers also like the Conwy valley down to Betws y Coed.

I visited the shop referred to some months ago, staff were miserable on that day , food was tepid, much prefer Menzies TowerBridge Rd & closer to where Darren was travelling from 👊🏻

When I was a kid 50 years ago fish and chips was a cheap meal - not so much now for a number of reasons - but I can't believe how accessible and affordable pie and mash has remained. Sadly the gentrification of some area's is bound to kill off a great tradition
