As long BCB remains a corrupt club of politicians, Bangladesh cricket has no hope of even staying decent. Match fixing was so rampant in local leagues during the last government regime, it broke whatever little it development it had.
I am apprehensive about the new management as well, so I see no hope of Bangladesh being top 5 this decade for sure.

Yes we are at 4.2 $trillion , they are at 15 $trillion, they started off at 1970s and system in china is such you can mobilize stuffs without obstruction. Logistics cost in china is just 5% of GDP while in India its 9-10% of GDP. There's co-operation in fusion tech/ renewables /quantum computing etc with Co. investing in each other's start-ups so its not all about "rivalry" as pak/sl/ban/ west/people of Indian Origin who have 0 connect with India think.

What boils down is system can we bring in reforms that quick in society which china did in 1980s ,we are still shying away from, Law and order

Ideally if you raise the per-capita to 8000 $ in India it should bring down identity politics( its a curse for democratic politics) but it will be class based politics still much better though ( higher income grp vs middle income grp ). China has immensely funded its system so that base-line is more or less similar. China is now a technocracy. No matter how much Europe/US says "benefits" of "multiculturalism" , "melting pot" its bad results are for everyone to see in EU /Britain/ US , chinese are clear at it "Only chinese can be a chinese". And they don't shy away from no matter what world thinks about them, we care too much for what world will think😅.
