Thank you so much for posting this, love it. A bit of trivia, in part 3 at 7:27 when Murray talks about Mike the Bike there's a shot of a guy in a hat in front of red fire engine wearing a red polo shirt as well. The guy is Frantisek Stastny who was runner up in 1961 in the 350cc class
Just watched the three parts back to back, brilliant. Great to hear a man speaking about a subject that is so obviously dear to him.

Such skinny tyres in the early years and even up to the early 60's. Amazing that they raced with these as well as in the wet.
I too cannot fathom being on such skinny tyres doing such speeds in the dry let alone the wet.
