The nollie is a reverse actioned ollie. Let’s try again, The poh (p-oh) is a reverse actioned hop. Or let’s say more or less is a nub. I have no proof of this, highest poh/nub/nollie I ever witnessed was around 32”. No this was not onto a physical object. I’m sure higher have been done.
I've been skateboarding for nearly 25 years and think of all action sports as family. They all influence each other and I wouldn't say they are stolen tricks, I'd say shared tricks. Skateboarding, BMX, snow boarding and skiing, scooter and even inline skating are all connected in a way.
As a skater and biker...we use alot of similar lingo strictly because its the best way to describe it or the motion was described. its not stealing, its generalizing so ppl of all action sports can appreciate it...action sports is dying hard...we need to come together instead of diverting further
why you think action sports is dying though? I havent been involved in a long time so I really dont know, & most of the time when you pass these shitty little skateparks out here in wisconsin they're empty, maybe a few scooter kids, but they have one nice concrete park in a town over from me & that place stays busy which I'm always happy to see.
My wife and I have been fans of the channel for years and o think this was our favorite video so far. Awesome content, brother! We love seeing you hanging out with Matty and just having a genuine good time together.
You missed a bunch of skateboard tricks: nollie, rock to fakie, alley oop, cavemen, hang ten (kind of what inspired the hang five I believe), manual, nose manual, I've also seen bmx guys do stuff that looks a lot like a no comply or a boneless. Sooooooo part 2 soon? 😅
as a skateboarder myself, if I invented a new trick, and other sports could pick it up and use it, and still called it whatever I called it, I would have been so stoked.
@@Ebon-Owlyeah I agree like wym that's awesome. if it's about some kind of credit I mean it's named after your actual name. the trick was going to be done either way, I would be stoked forsure.
Steve said he hates the fact that bmx stole half/full cab from skateboarding but I mean why name it anything else. When it’s the same trick just on something else.
Fun fact.. Smith grinds were originally G&S grinds.. Gordon and Smith.. when i started skating many many..many years ago.. I use to have g&s trucks..but yes it was changed to just a smith grind.. just like heal flips used to be called pancakes..😂
These are a few tricks that share the same name as skate tricks, I'm not sure which came first though... Disaster, nollie, invert, rock to fakie, cannonballs, rocket airs and pogo hops.
One my favorite we took from scooter is the bike flip or on the scooter briflip and there is also the trick called around the world 🌍.. where you spin the bike into 360 while standing still on the back wheel or peg.
Dude let’s to motocross. From a dude who’s never even ridden a motorcycle I think the best looking and maybe the simplest but still so sick when it happens is the Nac Nac. Idk why but I love that trick
Ok, just started to watch the video, and before I forget: skateboard crook is called like that because it's a crooked nosegrind, but on a bike, it's a crooked double peg.
A crooked should really be a tooth hanger but push the back away from the rail instead of over it. A tooth hanger is basically an over crook. The bmx crooked is almost like a feeble or cross locked 5050. There are tons of sports that share names but usually arent translated well but honestly the real kickflip isnt popped on the tail so skaters kinda stole their own tricks. Lol
It would be the same as skating, but people don't use that terminology. Some people call it goofy footed on BMX when they spin and do other tricks opposite of the natural way for most people (like Jay Dalton). I wish there was a better name for it because I think it causes confusion.
Why use skate tricks names on a bmx? For example, a nollie to 50/50 grind. For one, a bmx does not have a nose,so how can it be a nollie. Can't you guys think of your own trick names.
Support new skate parks in big city’s that don’t have big parks like in San Antonio tx we only got one big park but it’s always way to much people there pure Pearsall
Missed the "Nollie"
The nollie is a reverse actioned ollie.

I remember when Tony Hawk stole the 900 from Hoffman.... :)
Wut? It's literally what it's called, each spin adds 180° 😂
22 morons so far 😆
@@bdmunoz05 chill, its called levity.
Not sure you can steal a rotation 😅
You forget the best ones, Disaster, Manual and my all time favorite, boneless foot plant.
Matty your HD flip is insane!! I freaking love seeing that trick done by you 🔥🤘

All extreme sports. I have respect for all of them. Anything Red Bull or Monster are involved with I fcuk with
Tell that to Steve Caballero
No fmx lol
How can you miss Matty's handplants/inverts?!?! I LOVE THOSE. Fastplants!!

Rock to fakie is called a disaster to fakie on BMX
Body varial

That HD flip just looks so surreal, I love it! Really interesting video, it's always a treat when you get into the history of the sport.
4K is beautiful holy cow. How long has it been in 4k?!?!?! Thanks for putting out only the best consistently Scott!
The Half Cab caused a war 😂
That's Steve Caballero's fault
steve caballero stole the half cab from bmx
Im still w cab on that.
Steve got in trouble when he was talking smack on the cab tricks. People were pissed when he called bmx out for using his trick name
as a skateboarder myself, if I invented a new trick, and other sports could pick it up and use it, and still called it whatever I called it, I would have been so stoked.

The only thing he should be upset about is when people call it a "half cap".
A willie grind on a skate is like an unlucky on a bike I think, I’d try it.
The icepick grind is basically a 5-0 grind in skateboarding
Darkslide was missed - Tim Knoll can be seen doing it.
Whoa... Thank you for the joy of introducing me to Tim Knoll; that was next level!!!
Biking is awesome, skateboarding is awesome, it’s only natural that the two mix
Steve said he hates the fact that bmx stole half/full cab from skateboarding but I mean why name it anything else. When it’s the same trick just on something else.
Cab has said a "half Cab" involves specifically hitting the tail of the skateboard to count (fakie 180 ollie).
what does he call a 'half cab' without the tail hit? @@DIYskate
@@bermchasin You'd have to ask him. I'd think it would be a no pop fakie 180. On a ramp it would probably be a fakie revert, or fakie kick turn
i want to see mat doind the hd flip again

Didn't Mike Smith invent the Smith grind in the 80's?

Hell yeah the legendary kick flip returns
I would love to see Matty win a best trick with the HD flip!
Thats some game of bike material.😂
Hey, Scottie and Mattie, could we see A? Bar no hander❤
Can someone please point me towards the nearest Badminton Tricks UA-cam channel, please?
Good work guys!
paused the video to say best 360 flip ever.
would have loved to see that 360 flip, you asked him about that trick a while back when the women's did that in the Olympics.
You didn't do the Nollie or the Fakie.... I was hoping he'd do the easiest skateboard trick but I guess he didn't realize at the time, No Handers. 🤣
I think that's the only video where Scotty was the only one who came away without being injured. 😜👍 Awesome tricks though. 😎
Would love to see Matty try a blunt to kickflip (crankflip)
Dom is gonna love this video
The inventor of the crankflip never called it a kickflip. I think they are just relatable descriptors non-bmxers can understand
besides, crank flip is more like shove it
Hand plant, nollie and manuals. Does doing it switch count?
DBC..Daily Blessings Coming! ... thank You ALL for Everything Everyday!! .... I GOT ME..... A MONGOOSE REBEL! .... THANKs Scotty & Matty Cranmer....

ok, 360 flip got me good!
Hand plant?
Losi grind? Willy grind?
What came first? BMX or skate boarding?
When did abubaca become a thing? I’ve head older uk riders calling them blunts, like on a skateboard
Get Matty to do a 1 handed no foot can variation of a Rollerblader mute grab
Downside handplant aka invert or whatever skaters call it. Miller flip is also the 360 handplant to fakie
A crooked should really be a tooth hanger but push the back away from the rail instead of over it. A tooth hanger is basically an over crook. The tooth pick grind or over tooth is like skating crooked and over crook grind, ice pick grind is skaters 5-0 grind
Nollie nose manual manual I guess I don't know my history that well but any spin rotation
good stuff guys..
Brandon there feeling the power 😵
Could just do Willy stealing all his scooter tricks and doing them on BMX
nose and normal manual, pogo, handplant, caveman, superman, rocket grab, Christ air, benihana
Manual, noses manny, nollie, ones that come to mind
How about the Hang 5 & Hang 10 from surfing? :)
Holy shit I’ve skated this park. Super fun
we want the bikefliip!
firecracker is the same in BMX and skate
Matty must compete in X-Games big air and do that trick
thing that gets me and i could be wrong, skaters left foot forward is Regular foot. in BMX its Goofie Foot. seem the same but switched.
It would be the same as skating, but people don't use that terminology. Some people call it goofy footed on BMX when they spin and do other tricks opposite of the natural way for most people (like Jay Dalton). I wish there was a better name for it because I think it causes confusion.

What about the 540 flip
Rollerblading made up its own trick names and they were all really goofy sounding
Nollie, invert, handprint, fast plant
Caveman and manuals
heel clicker, mcmetz, never seen a Cordova on a bike yet either
What about the Sack Tap?

Moto whip

1 foot backside boneless in uk we call it that
Rocket air now that’s old school
3:34 😆😆🤘🏻🤘🏻
What about hippie hop/jump?
What about the handplant?
Kickflip to barspin....
You can’t call a crank flip and land your feet on the cranks 🤣
Nothing front bike flip bar spin
A laser flip you use your back foot to kick the pedals
airwalk ??? hand foot plants what about lip tricks?
Missed nollie, manual, and nose manual
Foot plants, hand plants and cave man

Forgot the manuals and nose manuals
disaster, blunt/abubaca, manual, nollie
Rodeo heel clicker
Manual- Nose Manual
You missed boneless
Caveman
It's a Crankflip. Really it should be called a CrankSpin but i'll let that go, we've stolen enough from skating, its a Crankflip.
Can he try a skateboard crook though? Is that already a bmx trick? Is it even possible haha
Hahah, toothpick hanger is probably as close as it gets
@@andrewodri5409 yeah i assumed so would be fun to watch him try though
