Love him. Here's maybe why he hasn't become huge: 1. His style is not IN style. 2. He's too skinny. 3. He smiles when he sings heartbreaking songs. Cognitive dissonance. 4. He can't play solo licks unlike Merle Haggard. 5. No back story unlike Haggard. 6. No cowboy hat. 7. Doesn't have enough original great songs. 8. Tbh, I don't get it either why he's not huge!

Never heard of Mo Pitney until the song randomly shuffled in a UA-cam playlist. I have to admit I was shocked to hear that great voice come out of Mo but the video and song were totally adorable and it has me wanting to hear what else Mo sings!

I'd heard Mo do this song months ago and LOVED IT! But this official video is 'outta-the-ballpark' perfect! You definitely have a diehard fan in me. (BTW...I'm a black woman in her late fifties, who grew up with a diehard Country Music fan mother. During my teen years, I felt embarrassed by this, especially because she would broadcast it throughout our home's intercom system! :-] This was during the 70's--lots of good music of all sorts was being created and I loved many genres, but we were Classic Country all the way! Now, many years later, mostly I listen to good ol' Classic Country, by choice! Mo's song, 'Country' always touches me deeply and personally. I was raised, early on, as a military brat and a child of God, taught to not judge others by their 'cover'; but I've also lived as a black woman in America, subjected to much injustice and more. (Including being terrified during a peaceful, positive Sunday morning outing, when a police officer made me get on my knees on a sidewalk and placed the muzzle of his gun against my forehead. He then proceeded to handcuff and humiliate me before a group of other officers, like I was a zoo display, until a witness arrived to confirm that my 5'4", earring and lipstick wearing self--with $20 cash and not so much as a parking ticket on file--was indeed NOT the tall, heavyset MAN who'd robbed a store. By way of apology I was told, "We didn't do anything wrong!") Yet, I continue to believe that 'we'--all of Life--are ALL ONE SPIRIT. Only hatred, ignorance and FEAR keep our world fractured and apart. I see Mo as one of God's Positive Ambassador's toward peace. I truly hope he remembers that his fan base is more diverse than the faces at his shows.)Love to you, Mo.

Bobby Bones believes in him & had him on his show a couple of days ago. Mo did amazing. The 1st time Bobby Bones said he was obsessed with the song & played a bit on the radio, I was like "it sounds like country country and I love it" this kid is amazing!!!

Man Mo Pitney is awesome, I saw him this past weekend in Wisconsin, let me tell ya this young man is the future of country music.. he is amazing with just his guitar and him singing. This song is one of my favorites not to mention his other song called just a dog. His road is paved and he's being guided down that long stretch of highway to reach the top, I'm going to keep an eye and ear on this awesome entertainer
Good show in Hudson. Mo was able to get through "Just a Dog", while fight back emotions of his own dog dying days earlier. Love REAL Country music.

There are literally millions of Country fans who wont even listen to the radio because they don't like where country has turned to. Mo, you have the ability to spark their interest but it will not be from songs like this. It'll be from re-releasing a few older great songs, and not from the 80's or 90's try 50's to 70's when country was great like Lefty Frizzell, always late, with your kisses, or Buck Owens Tiger by the tail. Spark up the older generation and get them listening again the youths are sure to follow. I'd be willing to say it's be the greatest career move possible for you.
