I am 58 years old and I never felt like I had a home. I worked to pay rent to mainly shelter 6 children. My ex was not much of a provider, so my focus and drive to secure for my children. Now, they are raised and figuring their path. Now, I can revisit building that foundation for myself. I have been interested in tiny home for at least 2 years and getting closer to drawing the blueprint. I see being able to bring it to life within 3 yrs. Watching this is inspiring me to make sure I see it through.
Beautiful testimony. 💐💐💐💐💐
Good for you! 🎉 Stay encouraged, and inspired. It is one of the best feelings to create a home ❤
happy to have inspired, wishing you the best on your journey!
As a brown Indigenous woman in Canada. I hear you!!!
Simily BEAUTYFUL Jewel.
Love this! Love her life philosophy! Going tiny truly makes you define who you are in all aspects of life. I wouldn't trade tiny "space" living for all the mansions in the world. Great interview!
I have been watching Jewel Pearson probably since the first tiny house video came out about here. She epitomizes elegance, and is such a wonderful role model for black people. I grew up in Jamaica, of mixed race (though I look white), and was pretty shocked when I moved to the US (I now live in Canada) to see how black people were treated. I love Jewel's confidence and groundedness, and I absolutely loved her home. I had no idea she had a UA-cam channel, but as soon as I saw her name on your channel, I was IN! I have been following the tiny house movement for 24 years, and it amazes me how far it has come, and yet how backward we are in terms of acceptance. I am glad that Jewel is a stand for tiny homes in a way that works for black people. I am so blessed to have grown up in a time and place where I didn't learn that colour should divide people. I have subscribed to your channel and look foward to seeing more!
Wow! Gorgeous tiny home! I’m so attracted to African and Asian decor. Just lovely ❤
Love love love your home jewel. Thank you for sharing
My All Time Favorite tiny home !!
This is my culture and my style, I have seen her tiny before.
I can fully understand what she is saying. I have heard of the racism in tiny living. Where black women had to move due to safety and peace reasons. This is Not surprising, it’s just America.
I pray this will not hinder anybody from tiny home living, if you feel this is what you want to do. You just never know what Possibilities could be right around the corner. Stay encouraged people.
Great show! Jewel's tiny house is so dope! Doesn't look cluttered. Putting tiny houses in a new light! Great questions too!
Thanks for watching! Like she said we serving representation! 🙌🏽
I would love to have mu home showcased on your show.
I have followed this woman's home through all of its transformations. 🎉
Your house is beautiful!!!
Very nice❤
I love your home. You would be a great neighbor.
How do the tiny homes weather storms?
i’ve lived in mine for 10 years in NC and gratefully have had no issues and i have experienced storms and decent enough wind speeds. should it be a major storm i’d seek shelter elsewhere, like many other “traditional” homeowners do.
