Big Lou inspired me to fight my illness hard and live when I was 15. I always wanted to be big and strong like the Hulk. When I was just a toddler back around 1979 I used wait all week long just so I could watch " The Incredible Hulk" on Saturday night! Because of you as the Hulk are the reason he has always been my favorite Superhero!!! You are a Superhero LF. Thank you so much!!
The incredible hulk is my alltime favorite tv show,GREAT show that was brought to television with so much conviction,so much passion and so much creativity that ive seen in tv before or after. Kenneth johnson brought this major masterpiece to tv in the best way! I just got now through watching the hulk episode" Homecoming". Great episode where Lou showed once again like on all the other episodes that nobody could play the hulk like him!
6:35-6:54 damn that part ALWAYS stuck with me. He'd get done shooting at 9:00pm. Get all the makeup/face paint off at 10:00pm go straight to the gym (give or take let's say 10:30pm he gets there) gets done at 11:30pm, goes home 12am, goes to bed at 1am, and wakes up again for a 5am day of shooting....How the hell did he manage to workout and maintain his physique with that kind of schedule??
Lou's performance as the Hulk was so unforgettable just as Bill's was in this magnificent show! Love Lou's menancing performance in the Hulk episode "Dark side"! One of the many best episodes of the show, that terrifying scene of Lou as the Hulk coming up the steps ready to get his hands on one of his advesaries during that famous club scene, wonderful performance!

I love the Hulk return movies, the incredible Hulk returns, the trail of the Incredible hulk and the death of the Incredible hulk! Lou just like the previous episodes was in prime condition for the return movies! The Incredible hulk is such an amazing show, the stories,3 great lead actors like Bill bixby,Lou ferrigno,Jack colvin and all the guest stars cemented the Incredible hulk into tv gold lore! Mr. Lou Ferrigno, you are my hero. You are an example of pure greatness, and u r my influence and you give me the motivation to work hard, not just in weight lifting, but in life, Mr. Ferrigno, I salute you. From a Brooklyn italian boy.

Great interview by Lou, very interesting to hear how he explained how he had to constantly work out each day to be able to stay in shape for the show! He has one of the most amazing success stories!! I can't help but think if he didn't have those bullies in own personal life we would've never got the iconic Incredible Hulk show. Everything happen for a reason and i truly believe his experience with those bullies happened for a reason, which was for Lou to fulfill his destiny to become the marvelous bodybuilder he became in order for him to give the world the most amazing and entertaining show in TV history!!! Thank you so much Lou,i love watching you play the Hulk, nobody could've played him like u did. All the way from the pilot episode to the Death of the Incredible Hulk,an amazing run for this wonderful show that is the best TV show ever!!!
Lou is a legend and anyone who has anything negative to say about him is just jealous, negative, and unhappy in their own life. You're awesome Lou and an inspiration to many. Way to go Ferrigno!! :)
I could listen to him talk all day. It makes me so happy to hear how he overcame adversity through sheer determination. He's inspirational. So humble and there's not an ounce of self-pity in him. He's a role model for everybody and so handsome! I used to love The Hulk tv series in the 80's. Bill Bixby was great, but Lou was the best thing in the show, he was mesmerising. From the uk.
I love Lou! He's from my hometown, he seems like such a sweet guy. I got to see him from 'afar' at the NYComic Con last year, he still looks fantastic. I really meant on my video comment that a new Hulk show would never match the heart of his Hulk. Great interview.
Yes, your right. Because he is the hulk. Heart, Body and mind. There is no one else who can effectively pull it off. He is the Hulk and the hulk is him. ❤️
I've always liked and respected Ferrigno. He turned a "handicap" into an asset, making himself a bodybuilding legend and TV icon. It just goes to show like Napoleon Hill said, whatever the mind can conceive and believe, you can achieve.
Just the greatest television at the time. Each episode very well acted featuring many famous actors. Compelling great writing and a keen sense of the visual element made it an instant hit. My brother and I never missed an episode growing up and we even loved hating the reporter Jack McGee!
I like him. I had a Hulk backback as a little kid in Jamaica and loved the strength. My thinner brothers took to the Spiderman stuff. Then I bought a bodybuilding book of his in the late 80's and would use the photos to practice drawing physiques (and doing pushups). There's a picture in it of Lou really picking up the back of what looks like a tiny Eastern European car (unlike the probably special effects Mercedes shot in this vid) :). Thanks for the influence, Lou!

When i was a kid i love The Incredible Hulk cause he’s my favorite superhero in the marvel comics and its got me introduced to the 2003 film as well as watching the TV series and TV movies on DVD. Lou Ferrigno was one of my heroes portraying the raging beast and voicing the title character in some media, I got a picture with him at Comic Con he’s such a nice chap he is.

@Atypical Lavender. I loved it too. You and I both were scared. Especially when the transformation from David Banner into the hulk. But I watched all the shows. I was so scared of his face and the intensity of his size😐😅🙄 that I actually had nightmares for about 10 years of him coming after me. It was always in my home. And I always hid from him. I know it sounds silly. But I did have them. They eventually went away. Looking back on the reruns and I watched as many as I can on UA-cam, I actually get to see that he was a protector & he really was gentle. If you watch some of the shows the way the hulk interacts with animals, children and the gentleness with women. I had nothing to fear in fact. That was so silly, what did I know as a child. However, I would never fear him again. This is how great Lou Ferrigno played this part. With such sensitivity.. So believable. Anyone who experienced this show as a child we were treated to greatness. Classic greatness. And we will never see something so genuine like that again... Unfortunately. The good thing is I'm watching every clip I can find on the internet, and I can't get enough of the show. I'm on a binge now.😉 I'm so glad I found this interview on Lou. Funny thing was my dad told me originally Arnold was one of the actors to play the hulk, but was rejected because he wasn’t tall for the role. Seeing Lou Ferrigno compared to Arnold, makes Lou look like a giant.
