Maybe some Genesis collections, a few old PlayStation games like Croc, Spyro, crash, and DOOM & DOOM 2. I'm getting Duke Collection 1 and Blood Omen with the Taito Super a pocket.
This is a great little device, I have the Capcom version. I was already sold on the idea of purchasing one when my mate Luke told me about it and the games that were built in. But then when he revealed that Evercade cartridges could be played on this, it made it an absolute must buy. Already got Data East Arcade 1, Toaplan Arcade 1 and the first collections for C64 and Team 17. I had Piko Arcade 1 and Jaleco Arcade 1 on my wishlist, Jaleco purely for Rodland which I absolutely loved on the C64 and arcades back in the day, but now I'm also adding Indie Heroes Collection 1 and Galeco Arcade 1 to that same wishlist after watching this vid.
I am sooo lucky to have each of these, thank you our Scotch friend, superb video as always ... you should have double the amount of subscribers!!! I just need to pre order the Taito Super Pocket now
Crazy Burger! I'm real eager for my Super Pocket. It's been a hard wait. Your videos have helped me get that Super Pocket fix while I wait. Thanks for your videos!
Great video, personality I ordered a Super Pocket to play Evercade carts like the Atari Lynx collections for example... as the screen on my original Lynx has died. I figured this would be a good fit for games like that.
Thanks for that bud, I think that even though the Gaelco cart only has 6 games I'll pick that one up to go with the Capcom Everboycade. I just think it's combination of a couple of bright run 'n' gun games and the rally game are great for building out the variety of the base unit. I might buy more though, I kind of want 4 of these carts, well all 5 but this is getting out of hand so I'll start with the Gaelco one and maybe the Xeno Crisis/Tanglewood cart as I'm already aware of both games and have played a bit of Xenocrisis on Gamepass a year or two ago. I may just see what I can find with a couple of nuggets off to go with the Gaelco collection. Cheers mate.
Glad to see the games looking so nice on the Super Pocket's screen. Can't wait for mine to arrive next week (got the Taito one). I looked through all the Evercade carts almost every collection had some games on it that looked great (or that I know are great). For now I've bought three carts before my device arrived, all three legacy (or soon-to-be legacy) carts, so I got them while they were still available for the regular price. Got both Lynx collection and the old Piko collection. Should be plenty to keep me entertained for a while.
Great selection/recommendations! Mildly unrelated, I noticed that the EXP is currently on sale for £116 and I was thinking, wouldn't it be great if they released a stand alone EXP with the Taito games installed and one of those blank carts that come with the Super Pocket and without an additional cart i.e. the current pack-in Irem Collection. This edition could be released at that magic price point of £99.99! We can but dream :-)
Yeah I agree.. I would really like that.. maybe they'll do it. I'm sure they mustve contemplated it at one stage.. but instead we have the Super Pockets. A controversial decision perhaps.. but I can already see thar it's going to bring aboard a whole fresh audience. The strategy could well work for them. Maybe next year we will get a limited edition Taito EXP.
This device was an impulse buy haha didn't even know about evercade, got the taito version and today arrived my asterborg cartridge there is something about the tiny form factor haha have a steam deck and don't really needed this device but I'm really enjoying it.
So my main camera for recording this video was the Canon G7X mk II. Its an older model from a few years ago but works great for this.. interestingly I did film the last few mins on my phone as the battery ran out. But generally it's always the Canon. For my themepark vids I pretty much always use my GO PRO HERO 7. A great little mini camera on the go, you can't beat it. Its not so great for close up vids like this one though.
Yes I'd say 100%. It's a megadrive title I think.. so should be good. Cathedral is a native port.. so probably needs work to make it compatible with the pocket
Yeah Atari Lynx 2 definitely made the short list but feel these carts are better choices. Though obviously it's always a personal choice. I also avoided recommending any of the legacy carts.. some of which are excellent but don't want newcomers chasing carts that are becoming over priced.
@@Too_easy262 I cant recall a lot of swearing in Deadeus but if I remember correctly Quest Arrest does have a lot of swearing included. Definitely not for younger players.
Kind of surprised you make no mention of the Lynx carts, given that they are the only carts with all handheld games and they have been generally well received.
How do you know if one of the cartridge games you insert into the Super Pocket needs an update or not? I tried to play “Thunder Hoop” from the Gaelco Arcade 1 cart and it just froze on the loading screen so I turned off the Super Pocket and tried again….only now “loading” doesn’t even appear. The game is completely unplayable now. 😡 From what I have since read apparently that game was in the process of *updating* while it was stuck on the loading screen and because I didn’t know this and assumed the game was frozen I have no essentially deleted that game from this cartridge! Am I missing something here? Was there a message or an indication that this game was updating while it was stuck on “loading”. I don’t want to ruin any more of my Evercade carts so I am very nervous now.
Mmm this could be related to an old issue with Thunderhoop. It happened to me also. I had to get a replacement cart. Reach out to support@evercade.co.uk
I’m getting real impatient for this thing to finally release. One more week! I might order that Gaelco cart in the meantime. Alligator on a skateboard is something I can’t say no to.
Lol yeah hopefully won't be long. Official release it's next week. Doesn't help when some have theirs already. Still waiting on that Taito version.. Alligator Hunt is such a blast. Literally.
I think both have good and bad points. The EXP is probably the one to go for overall. Has many advantages over the pocket. Better screen, larger screen, probably more comfortable over longer play, TATE mode, game of the month, secret games.. but it does cost over £100.. whereas the Pocket is £50. Cheap but still a good quality device with less of the above. A casual Gamers choice.
