I loved Blair and Lyra's reactions the most,you could tell how much this meant to them,it was heartwarming

They should've done a draft month like they did in 2005, where a random wrestler is drafted to a different show every week.
2005 Draft had big stars jumping hell the main champions were drafted,they're not gonna do that now most of the big stars will stay on the same show
I don't understand Nia Jax character right now. She is constantly intruding on feuds that she isn't a part of. She like that person who you didn't invite to a party who somehow found out about it and shows up anyways.
I feel like you totally DO understand her character, that description is definitely true. I see her as a nosey Karen and it's giving. I was skeptical when she first came back but she got over for me on Day One vs Becky.

Why would Gunther go to smackdown right now? look at the raw roster. They have Ilia, Dijak, Shamus, Drew, Bron, Pete, Tyler Bate, he still has a lot to do on raw.

Why did you counted those 2 tag team on the same lvl as other because there is no way Gunther will feud with Pete dunn and Tyler bate they are relevant due to tag team and as a solo they will lose in shuffle like pete dunn already did

We don't need 'draft' we need 'transfer windows' when gm can negotiate with superstars and try to sign them to there brand, give them oportunity like championship match etc.

We should just stop expecting so much out of the Draft. In fact, they should just call it Superstar Shakeup, which makes more sense if this is how WWE will go about it. In Kayfabe, The idea of a draft doesn’t make sense for WWE as wrestlers are already signed to a roster; why would they be free to change brands
in the long run the Draft means absolutely nothing. a few months from now the drafted wrestlers are just going to be on both shows without any explanations

The draft should've been on the raw & smackdown straight after backlash. The draft hurts backlash because it makes the match outcomes more predictable if the stars are going to different brands after, but at the same time, stars who need haven't out stayed their welcome get drafted at the wrong time, plus champs not getting drafted can hurt their title reigns
Yeah but the backlash card have all the opponents on the same brand? so what kind of predictable do you even mean? I get it the draft sucks but a day before raw, WWE confirmed that they will be trades happening so just in case they can move the other star on a different brand now

How that's hurts because backlash is a filler ppv and mostly having matches which are not leading anywhere after that event

Which is funny, because if you see him outside of character he comes across as a likeable dude. He just can't make it work in the ring.

I was at the Tmobile center, and when punk came put the second time that pop was so loud. Also the tv broadcast didn't capture just how loud the boos were when logan got out of that car. The cheer for Patrick Mahomes was accurate.
Awesome truth was the second biggest pop of the night.
Also Nia vs Liv was the best match in person. Close second was gunther vs Xavier.
The superstar shake-up had the wildcard rule. You cannot get worse than that
Too many storylines going on at the moment, plus some of the injuries didn't allow them to do more as they may have hoped. Plus it was the beginning of a brand new era. We're most likely gonna get more cool stuff next draft.
We got enough change, it was mostly in the mid and lower card though. Random draft was good and would've made this better if LA Knight also went to Raw.

I was hopping for Apollo to join the new "reformed" Alpha Academy, they definitely need a big stable like 5-6 guys and Chad Gable can lead that group easily... Hopefully Otis turns on Akira Tozawa and they align with the Creed Brothers. Maybe have Jason Jordan help them or mange them...

You know actually keeping Gunter on Raw is a great choice because he’s gonna be world champion this year and on Samckdown would’ve been hard booking him as a credible challenge for Cody in my opinion
i too was genuinely confused about any storyline progression in this episode outside of the draft and the draft should be formatted like the first one in 2002 the lack of suspense and drama from genuine talent reactions not knowing which brand they’re heading to

Rather than the draft, they should just do brand trades through out the year like my gm mode but probably less often, or just open it to everyone again

I'm confused because clearly the main event was protected from moving anywhere. I get it, but if the mid card doesn't see a significant improvement by Summer Slam then I'll be disappointed. I personally love the Alpha Academy storyline right now. I could see them pushing themselves to be heel or Chad forcing them to do heel tactics.
I think this version of the draft is about general managers trying to hold their important wresters in the show while picking up new ones that's why we saw their reactions after every draft

I think the issue with the draft is that they didn’t account for it when planning long term story telling. Half of the stars couldn’t be separated due to ongoing stories or possible future stories they’ve been telegraphing.
In hindsight, the draft wasn’t that bad. I think we just had our expectations high & the presentation is outdated. The draft should be it’s own special outside of Raw & Smackdown

It was like no one involved in the draft, had ever actually seen a sports draft before.
i feel like they are just tryna do too much with this draft. and be to sports like idk it just felt like they cared more about the presentation instead of the actual draft aspect of it if that makes sense lol
Dragging it fam, the show was fine alot of good things happened on raw, wasn't the best, expecting the draft to be how it was in the 2000s is setting yourself up for disappointment, love the channel tho, long time listener
I liked how wwe tried to 😂 trick us that stuff was actually happening when they announced certain stars staying on there original show I get the protection plays but it was so lame seeing someone stay on the same brand why even tell us or make a graphic
At this point they should just do trades. And maybe a raw vs smackdown match at survivor series where the winner gets to draft a wrestler from the other brand (champions excluded since it's only one pick for one brand)
The raw draft was good but raw is stacked but smackdown draft was meh and Morgan is a snoozefest her being champion would be lackluster
There is only two ways to save the draft in the future
1. Put up two “random” names and have the fans vote which show they go to. Have the fans do a live call/text in vote, if the vote is put up during Raw then the winner of the vote goes to that show (and if on Smackdown then that’s their brand). If the margins are close, say within 5 percentage points, then those two will face off in a match and winner stays on the brand. This gives fans a choice while WWE still maintains control because they decide which two names pair together.
2. Another way to save the draft is to stop declaring every superstar who is already on a brand, as that can just be a ticker tape that runs along the bottom during the show (much the way news stations call races during election cycles). They should only announce a name if a brand decides to call someone from NXT, as that feels real. I don’t even watch NXT but I get excited seeing the emotion of making it to the big leagues.
This is how they should book Chad Gable and the new Alpha Academy.

Next Raw they announce the Creed Brothers as the new Alpha Academy Tag Team.
Otis and Tozawa show up just to get attacked by the Creed Brothers and Chad Gable, Sami Zayn comes and saves them.
Some 2 on 2's and 3 on 3's matches later Otis decides to turn on them, and now he is the one that betrays not the one that gets betrayed.
The Creed Brothers win the Tag Team Raw Titles.
Dominant Stable, maybe have Jason Jordon Or Sheldon Benjaim join as temporary members of the new found Alpha Academy, or even rookies from NXT, as the potential for this stable is limitless.

If the picks were announced by Nick and Adam and they said 'I pick' instead of *brand* pick I wouldn't have actually minded the lack of big name draft changes. Like the last round in Raw we saw them have a reaction to each others picks. Or it shouldve been after Backlash so all the one and done title defences could be just that. People like Styles had to stay on SD so it's not 100% obvious who will be WWE Champion after Saturday.

I would say that the "free agent" concept messed up the Draft.
Basically same stuff with minor switches along with some call ups
My deal is if we're only going to swap 8 main roster mid carders, you could've just done the randomized computer thing and say champions are protected.
It didn't make sense for them to draft people right now who are in prominent storylines

I think they really couldn't figure out a good draft to do because they already have a very well established roster for each brand, so this one is more for the story reasons and overall to give those who need a good pump a better chance i guess

What I don't understand is for example CM Punk is part of Monday Night Raw, why waste the draft pick on him if he's just gonna stay on the show? That doesn't make sense. I missed the old draft when superstars from each of brand compete and the winner of that brand gets the draft pick and when they actually moved people. Triple H if you're listening to us please for next year's draft please return it the old way that we all know.

I think the picks were alright, but the way they go about the draft now is not interesting at all. They way they went about the 2004 and 2005 drafts were actually fun to watch. As illogical as fighting to have more competition to your own show, so was the 2007-2011 draft.
