Worked for me. I soaked 4 napkin strips in water and laid them around the rim of the pot. Made sure the hat was touching the napkin all the way around. Hit it with the blow dryer on hot right afterwards. Thank you Ricky.
Thanks a lot man, I have a rare San Antonio Spurs hat in all black with grey OG logo, can't find it anywhere since they switched up and I was gonna sell it lol, I used this method and went from a 7 3/4 to 7 5/8 and threw my hat in the dryer for 15 min and now it fits snug without no damage to the structure of the hat.
Good looks bro, this actually worked.. I figured videos like these are always bullshit. The hat I got is my exact size but the person who sent it packed it bad and stretched it. Thanks for the video
Glad I was able to help bro🫡 and nah that’s facts on all the bs some influencers put out there! I let niggas know if something works or not though I don’t want people wasting their time you know
I just tried this, instead of the stuffing techniques or throwing the hat in the oven. And honestly, I guess it worked. I put the hat on, and since the brim was mailable from the steam I decided to curve it. Once the hat cooled down the brim was perfectly curved, and the hat did have some shrink to it.. I don’t know how long it will last, but it fits good for now. And I wonder, would using a steamer under the cap have the same effect?
You could probably use a steamer to do the same but that sounds like it would take longer. The shrink method this way always works for me. Hats stay at the size I shrunk them too as well.
Works like a charm fellas, don’t expect it to shrink 8 down to a 3/8 type shit, but definitely works well if a hat fits slightly bigger than your size, shout out homie 🙏🏽
Use same size sauce pan so edges of hat can sit on napkin on edges. Also keep eye on napkin underneath if you got to much flame action coming round the sides of pan or windy. Otherwise this is easily far superior to any hat shrinking technique out there. Cheers for the info dude.

Hey! My hat is perfect size, but it is very tall and if I place it above my ear, the top of the hat is 2 inches away from the top of my head. Can i do something about it?
Was that a Poly or a Wool hat. I did mine the same as this except I didn't use the paper. It worked like a charm! My size is 7 & the hat fit like a 7 1/8. It's made from wool, would this method Really work on a Poly?
In your opinion I always wear 1/8 and was wondering If i could shrink a 1/4 to fit like a 1/8 or would stretching a 7 to fit like an 1/8 would be better just found a hat I wanted but they only have size smaller and bigger
My size is 7-7/8 but I had to buy an 8 because it was the only size available. Do you think this method can do the trick of sizing down from 8 to 7-7/8? Also, is it fine doing this method more than once?
@@rickynickyaccountingservices thanks a lot my man! It worked perfectly. I still had to put a little foamy inside the sweat band just to give that final touch, but in general it worked fine. All the best man 🤟🏻🤟🏻
If you rock the hat regularly you won’t have to. But if you stretch it and then leave the hat sitting for a while you may have to restretch it. Pause lol
@@rickynickyaccountingservices damnnn that sucks. I didn’t buy it yet. I was just wondering if it’s possible cause there’s this one hat that I want but they are all out of the smaller size haha
My fitted is pretty big on me, could I do this multiple times to keep shrinking it?, I was going to try the oven method but I have a hat club exclusive and don’t want to burn it so if this works well I’d way rather do this method.
@@rickynickyaccountingservices Okay sounds good I appreciate it, good video because this is very safe and I’ll see what I can do I got a sugar shack twins one I had to cop big so praying.
You can usually only shrink hats 1 size down unfortunately. But you can try this and my other method to see if it would work. I have a another video posted
It was my first time buying a fitted and I thought a 7 3/4 would fit me, little did I know that it was wayy too big, my friends 7 1/2 fit me good, do you think if I keep doing this method I will be able to shrink a 7 3/4 into a 7 1/2
Yow bro, is this real? I tried it to my cap but man I didn't work :( I even put my cap for 20mins and nothing happened and then I tried to put it back for another 20 mins... man its all the same....

Works like a charm, did this on my size 7 that felt too big and it did shrink although i will still repeat the process to get my desired fit
Perfect bro glad this video was helpful💪🏼

Thanks! I’m a 1/4 and can fit some 3/8. Had a Hat Club gem I got for a steal at 1/2. Was able to make it work after two steams.
Yes sirrr that’s what I’m here for bro! And I’ve done the exact same thing with a 1/2 I got😭

I haven’t tried this method with a wool hat. It’s rare to find a new era hat made with wool these days
Does it matter if it's polyester or wool?
Yooo this is golden it really worked lol 👌🏼👌🏼
Glad I was able to help bro💪🏼🫡
If I have a 100% polyester fitted and I use the sink method we’re I soak the crown and I wear it would it shrink I want it to shrink?
Follow the steps brotha it will definitely shrink
Very cool, thank you! I have several hats that are just way too big and really annoy me.
No problem!
I have a 59fifty polyester hat will it work? Or does it have to be wool or does it not matter?
It doesn’t matter bro it’ll shrink the same way
Yea this works 100% thanks man
Anytime bro💪🏼💪🏼
Will this work on a SnapBack ?
Not sure tbh I wouldn’t try it though due to the plastic strap
In your opinion I always wear 1/8 and was wondering If i could shrink a 1/4 to fit like a 1/8 or would stretching a 7 to fit like an 1/8 would be better just found a hat I wanted but they only have size smaller and bigger
You can do either one bro but personally I find it easier to stretch a hat than to shrink one
Thank u brothr; a custom hat steamer
Does it work for flexfit jockeys that are not new era?
I never tried with anything but new era hats bro
Is it gonna return to the original size overtime?
It hasn’t happened to me so no bro bro
Do u think I can shrink a 7 1/2 to 7 3/4?
3/4 bigger than a 1/2 bro you meant the opposite way?
@@rickynickyaccountingservices I meant down to 7 1/4

I tried it and it didn’t get any tighter should i do it agin
I would give it another try. I've never had that issue.
will it work on 7 1/2 to 7 1/8?
Nah bro that’s too big of a size gap. It only works for one size down
Does it stay that size or do you occasionally have to repeat the process
If you rock the hat regularly you won’t have to. But if you stretch it and then leave the hat sitting for a while you may have to restretch it. Pause lol

Definitely not bro
@@rickynickyaccountingservices sorry I meant I need a size 7 my b
@@Jclegg yea it’ll work
Can my fitted shrink from 7 5/8 to 7 3/8
I normally don’t recommend trying to shrink more than 1 hat size bro but if you do decide to try it id say just repeat the shrink process a few times
It is possible to shrink 7 7/8 to 7 1/8 or 7 1/4?
Nah bro thats way to big of a size gap for hats

This is genius. Thanks brotha
Of course bro💪🏼💪🏼
So I just got me a size 8 fitted hat can it shrink if I use the method that you just use ?
If you’re trying to shrink it to a 7 7/8 most definitely bro but it’s pretty hard to try and shrink a hat down more than 1 size
Does the paper towel burn
No it doesn’t burn. But I found something I like to use better than a paper towel now; I use a piece of cardboard.
Wow bro this worked like a fucking charm thank you! My glow my god fits perfect now 💪
Ayyyy that’s lit bro glad you’re able to rock it comfortably 🔥🔥
Is the same as using a steamer pretty much?
I guess yeah but it’s easier than using the steamer cause you don’t have rj so much work just place the hat down and let the shrinking do it’s thing

I usually only suggest shrinking 1 size down but if you keep trying and do the card method you should be able to rock that hat bro
Did you say 4 to 5 minutes, or 45 minutes?
4-5 minutes
Will it jus keep on shrinking if you keep doing it I mean I'm a 7 18 trying to shrink a 758
