    Rivers' winning attitude is what Duke needs. The kid does not back down, no matter who he plays against. And to see the Plumlees playing aggresive against a great OSU team was also one of the few highlights to an otherwise horrible game for the blue devils.

  • @GinaKutie

    That's why he's great cuz every time he plays he likes to have fun that's the most important thing

    I watched this game live, and Rivers played pretty damn good. He and plumlee were the only ones who showed up for Duke. Rivers finished the game with a not-so-great shooting percentage, but that's because he was asked to score pretty much every possession because he was their only consistent threat offensively. He's got a nice triple threat game, a nice crossover/stepback/hesitation move also. He definetly is very cocky to be so young, but he undoubtably has talent.

    hes a future all star for sure.. he has the will to improve and a champions mentality... i think he needs to stay in college and work on his left hand and passing ability... but seeing how competitive he is he will most likely go to the nba soon as possible

    this kid has really impressed me, i thought he was only a shooter, but damn he can drive at will. some of those drives really did remind me of wade!

    Kind of moves like Jason Kidd. Will be a championship-caliber NBA player. Great tools and skills, but it's his confidence, aggressiveness and drive that set him apart.

    This was such an odd game, I wasn't surprised at how OSU played. It was just mind boggling how Rivers and the Plumlees were the only one's who played hard the entire game.

    Why are you calling him an idiot? Anyone who has watched austin Rivers knows he doesnt utilize his left had enough. Thats what the guy was speaking about when he said use your left hand Rivers. He's implying he doesnt use it enough. Thats a knock even scouts highlight. Just because he used his left once in the video doesnt refute the claim.

    your comments prove you do not know much basketball. Neither Lebron, Wade has not left. This boy has a brutal kind and quality, and will certainly be among the top 10 of the next draft.

  • @CT4DUKEBLUE
    @CT4DUKEBLUE 13 років тому

    @dassix1 Your missing the point, this year we have an abundance of shooter/scorers. Unlike Austin who can create his own shot, Andre and Seth are pick and pop shooters that need to be setup to score, Austin is the best ball handler on the team outside of Quinn Cook, who will get his time soon. Austin will demand double teams and can dish it to wide open shooters, etc. Austin is a combo guard and can be a playmaker which will only favor DUKE.

  • @casualinsomniac
    @casualinsomniac 12 років тому

    Probably because that is one of the few things they have in common. Rivers shoots more 3s than any other kind of jumper, whereas wade has an extensive mid range game, Rivers is very iso-centric whereas wade's game is more versatile and has many solid off-ball aspects to it, Rivers gives lackadaisical effort on D, while wade is more aggressive on that end. Wade has also had a reputation as an unselfish scorer, whereas Rivers has a rep as a ballhog at the moment. Again, don't see the similarities.

    @mamba24boi I'm not hating but your talking about 1 game, his overall play has been poor and he will in all likelihood have to return to duke for another season.

    The NBA scout word on him is that he needs to get rid of the total scorer mentality and use his skills to find more open teammates for easy baskets. He's a prima donna, but he'll probably grow up soon enough. He looks amazing.

  • @ddogboy
    @ddogboy 13 років тому

    I've seen every duke game this season (except for one) and he only scores off of iso. When he learns how to use screens, curls, scoring without controlling the ball for so long and raises his shooting percentage from FT he could be averaging 18-20ppg right now. I don't think he should go league after this season he should stay another year and if he does he'll be nasty.

  • @tcs4duke
    @tcs4duke 13 років тому

    when austin learns the time to score and the time to kick it out and quinn is controlling the ball duke will become a very good team

    @mamba24boi he leads his team in scoring but thats because he jacks up a ton of shots. he is 7th on his team in PER and his defence is terrible, also not saying staying at duke two years is bad but when everyone thinks your going to be a top 5 pick in the 2012 draft he has been a disappointment.

    @TheChucky4664 I'm pretty sure he leads the team in scoring with about 14 a game as a true freshman. I'm not sure if you know much about college basketball but staying two years at duke isn't something too negatively. If the only thing you have to hate on is his "poor play" and possibility he might have to stay two whole years at college at duke university nonetheless then i suggest you just stop now.
