- 1992 Olympic gold medal winner Kristi Yamaguchi skating to ballet music from "The Seasons", Op.67 by Alexander Glazunov. IMO, one of her best skating program. From the Gold Championships.

I miss the 90's! Its amazing to think, even growing up without cable, how easy it was to find figure skating on TV... Didnt matter if it was amateur or professional... It was on every weekend! Sometimes these professional and pro-am competitions were the best ones to watch. Gave us a chance to see champs like Kristi or Katerina Witt long after their amateur careers ended. We were so spoiled!
perfection. TEN!
costume, music, program
Her entrances into the jumps were way ahead of her time, skater of today don't even risk that difficulty!
This program...Kristi as prima ballerina...just lovely. And that loop was one of...if not the...best she ever threw.
i used to figure skate and kristi was my inspiration, thank you so much kristi!
Best female figure skater of all time!!
perfection
She is truly amazing... If I could I would hug whoever uploaded this one and the rest of the videos of her skating. She has an amazing talent, and it is truly an art form.
Kristi Yamaguchi❤❤❤❤
my favorite program of hers. So classical and beautiful.
Very lovely & graceful from Kristie who just reminded me why I like her. Much more than Kwan, Lipinski, Cohen, Hughes & Mao Asada. She has real grace & a style of her own.
Skating like this supper for holidays,
10,10,10,10,10,10
Superb!!!!!!!
Love, love, love this program and the Madama Butterfly. She would have gotten the 2nd gold at the 94 easy with these two programs. Much more superior than Nancy and Baiul.
Baiul's LP was one of my favorites ever, but she certainly would-a given her a run for her money. And Tonya wouldn't have even gone to Lillehammer if Kristi were still amateur! Though perhaps Gillooly would've targeted a different lady... All of figure skating history might've been altered.
totally agree, this program and the madame butterfly were superb and ahead of its time. i felt that kristi could've been the 3rd woman to capture a second olympic gold after henie and witt.
Jules Mekler agree this is ballet on ice. Kristi could have won another gold but how could she turn down 20 million dollars. She is the highest grossing female skater of all time and deserves every penny. A true champion.
yes very much so a true champion and very humble and doesn't take anything for granted.
NIPPY66 Named me beautiful puppy (as seen in my UA-cam avatar) after her! I tell people her name's Kristi and they always ask After Christy Brinkley? After Christy Turlington? I'm like Nooooo after Yamaguchi!!! I feel like young people hardly know who she is :-(
❤
Awesome,wow,
Wow kristy is good at skating
Toller Cranston who gave her 10’s on both marks was always seen as a miserable judge but I always saw him being the most honest.🙏
Lovely,
Фея Нежности!
de tres belles notes meritees
The gorgeous puppy you see in my icon is named after her
WOW
you are beautiful kristi
What is the song called that she’s skating to?
Glazunov spring from the Seasons
@@arlenehathaway3076 I knew that
All the jumps now has taken away the beauty of women figure skating
TV.
I think Oksana is more a balletic skater than Kristi, but you are close. I think she's quite graceful herself though.
but kristi is so much better technically than oksana
Kristi is much more all-around and complete than Oksana. She's in a different league and level altogether.
@@alexsdb9712 Skating is not ballet I agree its about being complete. Baiul lacks so much as a skater outside of her balletic line and speed. Classic Kristi had it all (minus height and explosive on jumps- Ito had the technical over everybody by light years)
Kristie is graceful here but not really balletic at all which is why her line isn't extended with control for any length of time. Yes she is full of grace but balletic--no way. She's not a classical skater butis more of a hybrid like Witt.
