I would like to offer a bit of advice towards some of ants moves which I study along with similar bagwork like sga, and its that you shouldnt think of ants midrange spin fades with a stepthrough etc. as a "move" but rather a move (which is the cancelling momentum while the other defender is still moving downhill) into counters because if you do that whole thing as a predetermined move then there is no reads or efficiency For Example: If I beat my defender slightly and take that space downhill but the defender beats me and I do a predetermined spin fade into a stepthrough and the defender isnt even close to me for there to be a need for a stepthrough then Im just being inefficient and closing the gap between us making it easier for them Similarly to a "1 dribble pullup" if you compare ants "1 dribble pullup" its actually him taking a pause after creating space to see what the defender will defend which is either a shot or a drive and then ant is countering whatever the defender chooses but in your case it looks more like you are taking the approach that its just a move and hes going into the attack choosing to dribble once and shoot it.
@@hikarii2k817 yea I get what your saying. In game it’s an actual read. But if your alone training there isn’t a defender to go off of, but you still have to work on the move. So you’re gonna end up doing it premeditated regardless. But yea if you are going against defense it’s a read and not really a “move”
@Jp_1abve hey bro, it's hard to find channels that consistently post good content about basketball and actually explain, in detail, how to do each move!
I wanna thank you bro my handle is getting better and better every day but sometimes i run to a problem after like 3 plays the defender alredy knows what move i will use how many dribble moves should i know by this time i know 5 Great video
It is a travel if you don’t jump off 2 feet. Maybe not in the nba but in regular ball you can pivot and twist and spin all you want but when you go to release that ball you better be jumping off your pivot foot or jumping off 2 feet or your getting a whistle.
@@JPHoops_1 honestly I might be confused by the step through all together. I only played ncaa d3 ball but I remember being taught that we weren’t allowed to leave the pivot foot. Maybe rules have changed since then bc the more I think about it the more it makes sense that the pivot could count as your first step, then your step through to the jumping foot is counted as your second step. Is that the understanding now and is that legal at all levels?
@@ElbowJames yea bro the step through was always allowed like even in the 90’s and stuff, it just seems like a travel now since we have all these different moves that are actually travels
Bro you have to learn from the best to then be able differentiate yourself after. And we all know everyone plays different, it’s just to show what works at a high level and how others can do those same things
