    So you use power to pressurise air with a compressor.
    Then use that air to run a very dim light?
    That extremely inefficient and wasteful.
    Waste oil at least has a second life after being used.

    • @lmtn
      @lmtn  Місяць тому

      Yes, you're correct in pointing out the inefficiency of using electrical power to compress air, then using that compressed air to run a device with low energy output, such as a dim light. It can indeed be inefficient and wasteful compared to other energy sources or methods of lighting.
      Waste oil, as you mentioned, can have a second life after being used, such as being repurposed for heating or other applications. Repurposing waste materials like waste oil can be a more sustainable approach compared to using electricity to compress air for low-energy applications.
      When considering energy usage and sustainability, it's essential to evaluate the entire energy chain, including the sources of energy input, the efficiency of energy conversion processes, and the environmental impacts of energy production and consumption. This holistic approach can help identify the most efficient and sustainable solutions for meeting energy needs while minimizing waste and environmental impact.

      Oui, l'utilisation de l'eau comme source d'énergie est une idée intéressante et déjà mise en œuvre dans de nombreuses technologies. Voici quelques exemples :
      Hydroélectricité : L'énergie hydraulique est produite en utilisant le mouvement de l'eau, comme les chutes d'eau ou les marées, pour faire tourner des turbines qui alimentent des générateurs électriques.
      Énergie marémotrice : Les barrages marémoteurs exploitent l'énergie des marées en utilisant des portes et des turbines pour capturer et convertir l'énergie cinétique de l'eau en électricité.
      Énergie des vagues : Les générateurs de vagues utilisent le mouvement des vagues pour faire bouger des flotteurs ou des dispositifs similaires, qui sont connectés à des générateurs électriques pour produire de l'électricité.
      Énergie thermique des mers : Cette technologie exploite les différences de température entre les couches d'eau océanique pour produire de l'électricité.
      Ces méthodes montrent que l'eau peut être une source d'énergie renouvelable prometteuse et respectueuse de l'environnement. Cependant, il est important de considérer les implications environnementales et sociales de chaque projet, ainsi que les défis techniques et économiques associés à leur mise en œuvre.

    Das würde nur Sinn machen, wenn der Kompressor ein Speicher hat der permanent mit Luft gefüllt wird. Praktisch wie ein Kreislauf. Falls das überhaupt möglich ist😅

    Creo que es un motor que no sirve porque a menos que el aire que utilizan sea gratis esto gasta más de lo que genera

      @@lmtn Claro yo utilizaría un panel solar y con el conectaría un motor compresor para inflar las garrafas con aire y así eso sería sustentable cuando tengo muchas garrafas infladas con aire podría utilizarlo al motor, pero lo que no lo haría es con un pistón de moto porque me parece que pierde más aire que si fuese una turbina estilo como los que sacan las rueda de los autos digo creo que son más eficaces .

    using electricity to make electricity wow who'da thought

    • @lmtn
      @lmtn  Місяць тому +1

      Indeed, the concept of using electricity to generate more electricity might seem counterintuitive at first glance, but it's a fundamental principle behind many electrical power generation systems.
      In conventional power plants, such as coal-fired, natural gas, or nuclear power plants, electricity is generated by using various methods to rotate turbines. These turbines are connected to generators, which then convert mechanical energy into electrical energy.
      In renewable energy systems like solar power and wind power, electricity is directly generated from natural phenomena (sunlight and wind, respectively) using photovoltaic panels or wind turbines.
      Similarly, in systems like hydroelectric power plants, electricity is generated by using the energy of flowing water to turn turbines, which then produce electricity.
      In all of these cases, the initial input of electricity (either from burning fuel, harnessing natural resources, or using mechanical energy) is used to generate a larger amount of electricity through the operation of turbines and generators.
      It's a fascinating aspect of electrical engineering and power systems that allows us to harness various energy sources to produce the electricity needed to power our homes, businesses, and industries.

    What a waste of time. Your using electricity, or gas to create the air pressure.

    • @lmtn
      @lmtn  Місяць тому

      Ultimately, the choice of whether to use compressed air or other power sources depends on the specific requirements and constraints of the application, as well as considerations such as energy efficiency, environmental impact, and cost-effectiveness.
