Thank you for posting this. It was awesome to see Enzo flying and it was a beautiful tribute to my late wife. I'm sitting here at my desk bawling because I miss her so much. I love that you guys love Enzo as much as Maggie did and I do. Thank you for staying in touch and sending updates.
Bill, it was our honor to tell this story. We are so sorry for your pain and we are so glad to hear you enjoyed the video. Enzo is an amazing bird and Katie adores him! 🥰
I’m absolutely bawling watching this 😭😭 sending condolences to Maggies family 🙏 how wonderful of you all to fulfil her wishes that was a beautiful thing to watch and the recording is first class watching them soar is just mesmerising! Well done Jamie & Dave for yet another fab video thank you so much for all you do, you’re truly inspiring people 🙌
Oh my goodness you guys!! I'm too pregnant and hormonal for this sweet of a story. What a beautiful ending. RIP Maggie and Mercury💕 I hope they're both together watching their dreams come true everytime Enzo flies
Dave and Jamieleigh. I can only say, Full Circle. What an honor to see and be a part of this beautiful story. Thank you for sharing the beauty that comes from the ashes.
Omg that’s so devastating. I cannot imagine.. I worry a lot about what would happen to my birds if something happened to me, but I don’t have kids and my family doesn’t do the bird thing. It makes me want to use you guys as a point of contact, just in case, so I could at least know that my birds would find good homes…
This video opened an untouched open wound in me. I lost my 6 month old african grey whom i fed formula to and weaned all by myself. He was my first bird to catch pneumonia and i couldn’t catch any of the symptoms until it was too late. looking back at his pictures and videos stupefies me since he clearly looked off. I always thought his droopy wings weren’t a big deal since he was a bit younger and he might not be old enough to fully lift the weight of his wings.a lot of the other symptoms were a bit more subtle but were definitely there. As it is currently bird flue season were i live at-least. Two days ago, I noticed the early signs of pneumonia in my new baby african grey whom i got around a month ago.around a week after a professional groomer visit to get his first trim as his nail were too sharp. I took all my birds to an ER vet clinic 1-1:30 hours away and guess what ? All my birds had pneumonia. Thankfully most of my birds haven’t even developed signs of the illness and those who developed some were all in good shape and haven’t lost their appetite or even weight. My birds are currently on their third day of treatment and 90% of the symptoms that were showing in them have gone. The only symptom left is a bit of a wet sneeze that is slowly getting less and less projectile which i assume means less fluid build up. I was planning a playdate for my birds with my aunts bird and THANK GOD i didnt end up going before my vet visit. Moral of the story please do not dismiss any symptoms ur bird show unless u want to live with the guilt of a lifetime. I miss my baby dodo (african grey) every day and even tho i finally got over seeing baby african greys without bawling im still left with the guilt of a lifetime. Please do not take ur pets to the groomer during bird flu season. This is the last time i ever take my birds for a groomer visit around the colder months since a bit of discomfort in my arms is not worth more than the health of my birds Sorry for making this too long this is the first time i ever wrote a comment that was more than 3 words lol
It shows how healing we are for each other. Birds and humans. Light in the darkness. Hope from the tragic. Maggie will be flying Mercury in the sky watching from above❤🦜
Tears roll as I am met with this epic adventure for all concerned. Condolences and comfort for those who have lost their loved ones. With the mood filled skies & gorgeous landscapes, Enzo takes on a bit of Phoenix rising from the ashes with the slow motion imagery. Well being all
Thank you Dave and Jamieleigh for bringing these two wounded hearts together. They needed each other in their grief. That was a beautiful song, I've never heard it before.
Wow, this is like two souls healing each other. Also to think when he’s flying high it’s almost like he’s connecting with Maggie. He’s like…” hey mom, look at me!!!”! Seeing him fly in slow motion is so absolutely gorgeous, his wings and, all of his stunning colors!! Wow what a beautiful bird!!!
I am speechless Nothing can be said to give everyone involved in this story what they deserve for what they have done,my condolences to Megan family and great job everyone else.
Such a touching story and what a beautiful bird! I have a B&G who came to me from a rescue with a broken wing that will never be right, so the poor guy will never fly. Love watching these free flight videos.
Thank you so much for making one of Maggie's dreams come true. She loved Enzo so much. It was our dream for us one day for me to get a bird and have them fly together.
I know I already commented but just the way this video was put together creates a lot of emotion. The videography and the music into the end of the video and the parrot silhouette against the clouds... Great job.. So inspiring and impactful. Creates tears.
I was not ready for all these big feels. You guys as trainers are amazing and truly deeply good souls. And Katie, how amazing are you at opening your home and heart to Enzo.
Absolutely incredible!!! This video and the video of Dave working with the guy in a wheelchair that gave his bird the gift of flight.... They are my two favorites. Gives me so much hope for the future and what's possible when we get out of our own way and focus on helping people. If you and Dave weren't focused on helping parrot owners everywhere, the chances of these two meeting wouldn't have happened.... I love this ...
Such a beautiful video. Showing the best of God's beautiful creation. A true story of love and healing. Seeing the beautiful birds, with their beautiful humans, flying free in such a beautiful locatio. Fills my spirit full of love and hope. I know God and our loved ones who have joined Him, are smiling down upon you!
Well I wasn't expecting to wake up watch You're video and cry but what an amazing story how perfect these 2 are for each other. what a dream I would love to free fly my bird seeing this is such a dream I'm so happy for these 2 they both needed each other and you guys put them together it's amazing what a blessing I love thank you for sharing
I love your free flight videos, but was not expecting a tearjerker. I'm glad things worked out so great for Enzo. This just reminds you of how fragile life is. Soar high Enzo!
Such a tragedy but a beautiful story, Enzos tail feathers are magnificent. So happy that Jamie and Dave were able to bring two hurting souls together ❤
Beautiful, emotional, passionate, touching, God's will, amazing, heart warming, heart breaking, uplifting, compassionate, fantastic, inspiring, joyful, magnificent, All in the name of love! 🐤
I cried for the loss of the birds and Maggie. This is a VERY beautiful video. Free flight of the Macaws is awesome to watch. Whatever happened to Enzo? Fly free!!!!
Wow, amazing. How wonderful that this came about from such sadness. I too like to think that Maggie and Mercury are up there together. Guys you are amazing, Dave what a dude you are. It’s so nice to see a man show his emotions x
Condolences to Maggie's family & to Katie for her loss. What a beautiful way to honor her to have Maggie's dream fulfilled. Katie was the perfect person & situation for Enzo. Beautiful ending to such a terrible loss.
Just another person over here bawling her eyes out watching this 😭❤ she was only 1 year older than my big brother so to be taken so young hit kinda close to my heart in a way! 😔 I am so very sorry for her husband's loss...this video was definitely a beautiful tribute to her and also to mercury..who was a beautiful birdie ❤ I think they needed each other and then Maggie has mercury to keep each other company..and I am aware not everyone has the same beliefs but the timing of all that sadness makes me think Maggie is up there somewhere free flying mercury ❤
On a side note it's amazing what these little dinosaurs can heal if you would have asked me 10 years ago if my husband and I would be bird people I probably would have laughed but they are our everything they are so amazing and can heal so many wounds with just their personalities and love they give you it's so different from any other pet it's just uncomparable. My husband lost his father and our birds Disneyland And going out in our boat Are the only things that bring him joy
Very bittersweet, I'm so glad though that Maggie's dream for Enzo continued, even if she couldn't stay to see it herself.😭 I definitely think her and Mercury are together in heaven. 🦜The song choice was excellent, but doesn't youtube go all copyright police on any music? Such a touching video, so meaningful. 💕
I'm 46 have my free flyer a year and a half, he's flying since 4 months and is all the joy my life needs, but my biggest fear has always been dying suddenly we have two of us who live for bigaboo (bigbie) but I'm not sure my other half could give him the cate needed for a bird who needs to be in tip top health, I just asked him if he would know how to do a chop, I'm due to do one tomorrow so I've told him it's important he sits in on that, just in case, Poor Maggie my heart for her, she has her own set of beautiful macaw wings now..how old was Enzo when Maggie got him, had she flown him at all herself. I live to take my bird flying, In fact winter solstice has passed the day has dawned we are off out to fly, I wonder so do u guys only fly there or do they get to fly at home, my bird would crack up if he didn't get out most days, he had awful Ants in his pants yesterday till a decent size flock of crow gave chase, he gave all our neighbours a great show, mist ppl when they see him out assume someone lost there parrot, I'm sure u all get that all the time..or ppl just assume he's lost, I let my bird have liberty at home in small amounts because I don't want him learning how to remove roof tiles or other important parts of ppls houses, like blue did..a bird I know of who was sold fir being bold, sad part is its just macaw there destructive by nature I don't get mad at mine for breaking stuff, it's my fault if I wanted it it shouldn't have been where he could get it..sad..Rip Maggie .
What keeps free flighted birds from simply flying away and never coming back? Is it just the bond with their owners? Seems like their instincts to be free and fly would take over the bond they have with their owners. It’s beautiful to watch.
Is parrot being stimulated with toys, keeping busy. If they were preciously clipped that’s one reason for barbering, environment is stressful for them. But every parrot is different. My macaw is doing well from recovering from excessive barbering.

Beautiful story, this should be viral…..Enzo soared high enough to feel Maggie's presence, to say thank you for teaching me, and watch me now.

What’s the song at 12:18?
