I’m team blue paisley. Even with a blue border, I’d use the red and white large flowers on the back. I grew up in a very small town where we had a local telephone company and “number please” operators until about 1961 when the town “went dial”. My mother was one of those operators. I have the headset that she wore. It’s precious to me because I can remember visiting her at work - a rather small room above a business on Main Street. My mother remained friends with the other operators throughout her whole life.

Pat I wanted to tell you I don’t comment very often because I don’t get to watch your live videos. My husband is 97 years old and I care for him. Right now I have the time because he’s in hospital. We’re all praying that he will be home soon at least he’s out of ICU. But I wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your videos and everything you do. You make me feel happy and also like I’m sewing. Blue, brings out all the colors in the quilt.
Team pink/red paisley here 100% The large daisies overpowered the top in my opinion . That was a very interesting experiment to see so thank you for doing it for us to see,

Put me on Team Blue! The lighter reds/pink look OK, but the blue brightens the whole quilt. (The dark red overpowers.) Blue border with red&white back would be good - carries out the front color scheme.😊

I like the blue paisley with blue and white flowers on the back. It is a hard choice though because the pink/red looks great too. Nice fabric line.

Thank you Pat for sharing with us! Normally I would choose the blue paisley, being my favorite color but I really like the red and pink paisley. I think it makes the quilt look bright and sparkly! Thank you for sharing your phone block, it took me right back to my Grandmother's. The black rotary phone was the only one they ever had. I remember the receiver being so heavy compared to our phones in the '70's!

Pink/red paisley for border, large floral for backing, small pink pattern for binding. Even with the blue paisley next to it, the red in the kites is what jumps out for me. Red all the way!

The border auditioning was a fascinating exercise, Pat, as was everyone’s choices. The border that spoke to me was the small print reading pink. It really lightened up the top, but I also like your red paisley. 🤗
Well I liked the Blue and also the Red Sun Flower. You justn can't go wrong with either the Blue or the Pink. Both are lovely.
Beautiful kite quilt! If you choose one border, I would choose the red/pink paisley. It is light, fresh and happy! You might want to consider a narrow inner bored in the blue paisley, framing it out in the red paisley as another option to consider! Whatever you choose, it will be lovely! ❤

The red /pink paisley seems to pull all the fabric together, the blue to me makes the navy or dark blue more prevalent to the eye and doesn't frame the quilt as well. 100 % red/ pink !

What fun that audition was. I personally would go the dark one (navy and red) I thought that was scrumptious. But out of the others, I like the pink and red paisley best.
