If you think this was bad… I had a clean race for 85 laps. Got wrecked under caution during the pace lap getting ready to come to the green. Was in 7th, ended up 15th! I love the people that are on the Iracing service! A whole lotta talent on here!
@@kneebon5I drive it like a Gen6 Cup, it's slow and vague. I drive it like a GT3, it's slow and slightly less vague. I drive it like a GTE, it's fast and predictable for about 5-10 laps before it just wrecks without any warning. It's almost like it's on 2 different tire models at the same time
Just gained a whole new appreciation for the literal Mecca of stock car racing. I heard the broadcast about how turn 1 almost has progressive banking, top lane is 12 degrees, while bottom is 10 degrees. Trying to manage all that while going downhill. And, also the bump out of turn 4 going downhill. I really think the best of the best wheel men win at this historic short track.
This one was a bit comical, Three Stooges funny. So many spins, wrecks, bumps and idiots like the 3 car. Very entertaining. I'm sure if I was on track with my low skill I would have rage quit. Lol. Great video. Carnage deluxe 👍
Because it was scanned before they put the patches down they lay out is mostly the same it looks a lot different but for the most part the track is the same
Surprised by how many of these races were only 1 or 2 splits. I was thinking that N. Wilkesboro would have had more participation. Wilkesboro was my first experience with just how drastic tire temps can be affected by using too much brake.
they need some good traction so we can have some good racing. I used to race and these cars have no consistency. sliding like that is a blirp not a all-out loss of control.
I don't know why I can't get as lucky as you, had that been me my car would have been absolutely destroyed when the guy spun his tires back up in front of you lol. Nice recovery. Still no racecraft at all but at least you had some green flag running
I thought yesterdays race at North Wilkesboro is really good and better than last year. I love multi grove racing and yesterday it caught me off guard which is a good thing. But I've been telling people that don't forget about what happened to auto club when people blamed the track for why the 550 hp cup cars weren't good at auto club people realized when it was too late that it was the car not the track and the next gen car proved that. Same goes for North Wilkesboro the track is not the problem their is nothing wrong with the track its the car the short track package is a problem, the lack of horsepower is a problem, the tires is a problem and nascar needs to go back to 4 gears on all tracks i don't care if they keep the 5 gears on the super speedways but every other tracks needs just 4 gears
Has oval racing gotten way worse recently? I feel like my races have been terrible wreckfests lately and it seems like every video you or Gavin upload is the same way.
I thought it was going to be a decent race… then it wasn’t! This is one of those tracks I avoid like the plague unless there is a split going off with a lot of the short track regulars like Mitch and Tracy. 17 protects his position and gets wrecked for it? Talk about a crybaby.
I tried to run the truck race 4 times, got my first Truck series win, but the races were horrible. No more than a few laps of green flag racing at a time.
@@kneebon5 Either way would be good if it gets the problem drivers out of the picture. It's nuts the lack of awareness and race craft in the higher series.
@@kneebon5 sadly ironic that the #21 car's paint scheme is : Trading Paints . pretty sad when I, a non i-racer can tell what some of these drivers were doing to cause their fits. i say you need a weekend of montegi racing with people you trust. that 20 car was hitting everything (more subtle than most, but still aiming.)
I get so sad when I drive this car in iracing. Just doesn’t feel like it should feel, if that makes sense. Thing feels like a tank on rails. Not a fan of the transmission either. I hate to be that guy, but it’s horrible. If this is any indication of real life, I feel for these drivers. How do you go from gen 4,5, and even early gen 6, to this…? It looks cool, drives like crap. NASCAR really took a step back with this thing. And I fear their egos are too large to ever go back. (Sorry for mixing real life into it)
It’s a shame these cars are giant dog farts when it comes to actual race tracks, I made the mistake of seeing what the “fans” had to say about it on fb and everyone’s crying about the track. How it should be moved blah blah, the cars are absolute trash. Also the fake fighting or whatever the garbage is after the races are really pathetic. I’m no KB fan but that was just sad.

I did a truck race here this past week and what a nightmare still managed to get a top 5 finish but it was scary

Have to use brake, all the normal fixed guys run and hide

Incident point DQ limits need to be lowered, giving over 20x for short tracks is just asking for a shit show.
It needs to be removed, allow them to get 50 and lose their license, thats how it wqs for years in iracing when it first opened.
