I absolutely love lavender but it is tricky to use. You pulled together a very nice color combination I’m calling “light Fall colors”. I am lucky enough to be in New Zealand where it is now Spring! I only brought with me my small collection of 7 DS wc sticks and an Arches wc sketchbook. I might try painting some local flowers today. I always enjoy watching your painting process. Thank you for the inspiration.😊
@ I’m afraid it is a somewhat random selection as I just grabbed what I had…I live in an area where all things DS have to be ordered. I just decided to take sticks as they are easy to travel with and it would force me to make them work. I brought y. Ochre, bnt. umber, F. Ultram., cobalt teal blue, carmine & white. My plan was to take two of each base primary & white. These are what I had but haven’t used so I’ll make them work. Who knows…maybe I will discover something amazing!?!? I don’t know how to send photos on UA-cam but if I figure it out I’ll send one.😊
Yes please, more flower videos! Love this color palette. The q b orange and Prussian blue are so exciting together, and do is the lavender with the yellow ochre. Plus I never thought of mixing Prussian blue with undersea green before. Going to try it all! 👏🏻 thanks for inspiring us Buffy 🫶🏻
Hope you love playing with these colors, it was exciting to work with the Lavender and finally have a result I like, has been a tricky color for me, but what a reward it is! 🩵
I absolutely love the colour palettes you combine they are truly stunning. I love Daniel Smith watercolours they are my favourites. Your work is amazing and I thank you so very much for your videos they are truly inspiring.😊👩🏻🎨
Buff, do you ever use the water-soluble mark-making tools for added abstractions? I’m thinking about getting myself some of the Caran d’Ache neocolor ii sticks for mark making on my acrylic paintings (and also for my acrylic underpaintings for oils). I love the look of a little bit of pretty faux handwriting/calligraphy in art… As I looked at your work in this video, I kept thinking a type of very slight (in quantity), pretty, faux writing abstraction would be so beautiful on this type of watercolor florals artwork. I feel inspired, I think I’m going to try it! 🥳🙌
That painting is GORGEOUS 😍. Love the color palette.
Thank you! -happy you like it 🤍
Would definitely like to see more flower videos.
So relaxing. Winter is here. Fall flowers like moms still here, Awesome painting
Thank you 🙏🏻

Wonderful colors to play with!
Really nice Buffy!!
Just beautiful! The softness and loose style. I'm trying to paint more loosely❤
So, so beautiful! I love it!
Beautiful! It's amazing how such a beautiful painting can come out of those little sticks.
Thank you so much 😀 they are small but mighty, highly pigmented sticks, to me the best value out of the tubes/pans 😍😍😍
