I’m pretty sure magic in ancient Egypt involved summoning monsters from the spirit world in duels using millennium items.

informative thank you. question: why use the historically misleading and eurocentric name of 'egypt 'when the real name, Kemet, is more applicable?

Perhaps the reason why tomb raiding had to be taken over by powerful foreign interests was to ensure the protection of and access to all of what is humanity's most precious sacred symbolism, the high spirituality these works of art reflect and the guiding light it continually shines on our greater human story. Not to mention the advertising foreign museums and exhibitions provide for Egypt's multimillion dollar tourism industry.

Not in the wild. Wild lions in Egypt all went extinct 150 years ago. There are still a handful of wild cats but no lions in the wild.
